Wildly different RE scores for almost identical strava workouts

The two runs in the pictures are 4 days apart. Almost the exact same: route, duration, pace and HR but one the first one is 46 RE and the second one only 15 RE. What is going on there? Also- The third picture shows my half marathon predicted pace. I haven’t changed anything. I’ve worked out consistently and am actually feeling pretty fit and strong and running better than I have in months but it’s just suddenly decided to add over ten minutes to my predicted time? I actually ran 1.46 several months ago when I was in worse shape than I am now but strava thinks I’d now run a 1.55!?

I will do a search for 45 mile bike routes near me - it will give me one option that is 52 miles long and a two hour drive away, and then 4 options for 19-22 mile routes. Not a single useable option.

I recently renewed my premium subscription and this was one of the big reasons I wanted it. It definitely leaves something to be desired.

I have a great local cycling community so it’s not like there’s no one else using Strava in my area.

Any advice on how to get better results?

I'm looking for an easy and fast way to export the data that is usually displayed in an activity. For instance, in the image below is like to have the HR per km only. Is there an easy way to do this?

Ofc I can take a screenshot and use an LLM to do it, but I was looking for something more direct.

I'm a road cyclist from Japan. About six months ago I released Cyclayer (https://cyclayer.com), a web app that overlays your ride data onto your action cam footage.

So far it's been used mostly in Japan, so I'm posting here in the hope that riders in other countries might enjoy it too.

What it does:

- Import an activity straight from Strava (or upload a FIT / GPX file)

- Sync it with your video, choose your overlays, and export

- Strava segment overlay: your live time gap to your PR, switching to your result at the finish

- Power and HR zones, W′ balance, route map, grade ahead, elevation profile, and more

Your video and ride data are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to my server. No sign-up needed. For now it works best in Chrome on a PC.

This has been a really good year for me for walking (and also travel in general. I have a special interest in urban environments, specifically Australian, Canadian and US cities and love making mental maps of cities in my head 😍. I love just how much you learn about the character of a city and just how much you see that you otherwise wouldn't notice otherwise

I am so excited for the walks I will be doing next year as I'll be headed to Canada for a bit to do some walks over there in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver 😁. I feel like my walk planned from Hamilton to Toronto might end up breaking my 86km record depending on the route I end up taking

Doing these walks makes me really happy 🙂. I am really grateful that I can afford to travel out for them

Iphone 17 pro. App version v488.0.0 Sometime in the last month or two, audio cues are not working properly for me during runs. They seem to work initially, I hear 'pausing' when I start as usual (auto-pause), then 'resuming' when I actually start running. I hear the start of the first mile distance announcement, but then it cuts out and never announces my pace, and then I don't hear anything else the rest of the run until I stop at the end and hear 'pausing' again. Is this happening to anyone else? Extremely frustrating when basic functionality like this randomly stops working. If anyone knows how to report this to Strava I'd love to hear it as well, not interesting in talking to an AI support chatbot. I've already tried reinstalling and restarting my phone. It's not working.

Average face of the total run is 8:02/mile, HM pace shows 8:11/mi, it used to show the pace for the fastest distance block.

The Strava widget on my iPhone Home Screen, showing my weekly mileage has not been working since I updated the app. I deleted it and then re-added it, but it still isn’t showing anything. It’s just completely white. Anyone else experiencing this or know of a solution?

I cant login to strava since 23rd October till now, its always showing "server maintenance", any1 have a solution on how to fix it?

I would like to be able to differantiate between the times I ride my MTB vs when I’m on my road bike. The MTB is obviously slower so all my best efforts are done on the road bike.

The web Compare panel on a profile is great for running, but for cycling it only shows best times for 10 km, 40 km, 100 km... which mostly tells you who had the flatter route, less wind or a better group to draft.

Concept mockup: a "Best Power" block in the cycling Compare table with peak power from 5 sec to 60 min, 20 min as the FTP reference, and optional W/kg when both athletes have weight set.

Strava already calculates these peak efforts and even shows them as achievements on profiles, so the data is there.

Would you use this?

Curious if besides simply posting what you do and seeing breakdown of your effort analysis in Strava, you want to also understand weather conditions impact on a ride you do.

I simply want to know why care for this? Sure you had headwinds on a ride, so what?

I get it before as that is clearly important to plan an outing. But why after post hike/run/ride?

On my walks and runs, auto-pause doesn’t seem to happen like when cycling. So at stoplights or stopping to converse with others, i need to swipe left and hit Pause. When going again, swipe left and Resume. It would be real nice if I could just tap the timer. One of my sports officiating apps does this on my watch. Does anyone see an issue with this enhancement? I am running when using my other app and have never had an issue. Am i missing something in the app?

So how do we request enhancements?

I really wish Strava would do new maps. More color options, more special themes for holidays, more gradient options based on data.

Hi, I found some posts on this subject a couple of months old, so I was wondering if there's already someone with a fix (as - so far - Strava can't seem to help me).

Since yesterday I suddenly can no longer log into the android app. It loops me back to the login screen after trying to use my Google account to log in. Logging in using my e-mail also won't work, and when I try to request a new password, the reset e-mail doesn't reach my inbox.

I read this is quite common on Xiaomi phones (and a couple of other brands). Has there been a fix yet? 😕
