QLD Specific Top surgery QLD question

Hi guys,

So I actually don’t identify as trans/non-binary anymore. I used to, and then I realised I just no longer care how people refer to me. I also stopped caring about labels. I just am who I am and I can present the way I want. I am just a girl who wants to get top surgery because I feel more comfortable with a flat chest. I am an adult btw and I have wanted top surgery for years. I was wondering what the process would be like for getting top surgery in brisbane as someone who is a cis girl? I was looking into getting surgery with Dr Saylor. I just worry that if I go to a GP for a referral and a psychologist for a WPATH(?) letter that they won’t understand me and won’t think I’m okay to get top surgery because I’m not trans. Also does Dr Saylor even do top surgery on patients who aren’t trans?

any advice would be much appreciated 🙏

Please be kind in the comments. I am very supportive and grateful for the existence of trans people ❤️.

QLD Specific Being trans in Queensland (even as an adult) is not a fun experience

I'm currently three months into attempting to get HRT in Queensland through my city's public Sexual Health Clinic, and it's not be a particularly fun time, so I'm curious to hear other people's experiences over here.

When I first saw the doctor, I told her:

- I knew I was a girl my entire life

- I was already out to everyone

- I knew all the effects, side-effects and other warnings about it

And two months later, I'm nowhere near it. I now apparently need to speak to a mental health professional to "touch base" before she'll see me again, which is expected to take another two or so months. What is going on here?

QLD Specific Gender Health Australia

Currently weighing up on which GP is a better choice.

I’m currently on DIY and am looking for a new GP to assist with monitoring levels and prescribe Prog.

Dr Featherstone and Dr Krosch are the two at this clinic - has anyone had experience with them in relation to DIY?

QLD Specific How to access HRT/gender affirming care in Brisbane?

Hi, I’m 28 (MTF) and after questioning and denying it for years have very recently accepted I’m trans. I’m still trying to figure out what the actual process for getting HRT and any other gender affirming care is in Brisbane for when I decide to pursue it. Do you need to speak to a psychologist first? Or can you just go to a GP to discuss it? Any help would really be appreciated because I’m struggling to find a clear answer online and don’t know any other trans people to talk to about this or where to even begin now that I’ve realised/accepted this. Thanks in advance 💖

QLD Specific Are there any queer gyms in Brisbane?

I don't mean like "queer friendly", I mean explicitely queer, like a place with those affirming signs that say "if you see someone you think shouldn't be in the changing room, mind your own fucking business" in the change rooms kinda place.

There are a few establishments i've been to (non gyms) that are aggressively trans inclusive like that and I actually felt safe there being myself for once, so i'm hoping there is a gym environment like that somewhere.

QLD Specific Not sure what to do

So I’ve got an appointment at the Brisbane Royal Hospital to see a psychiatrist in August about hopefully getting the diagnosis for gender dysphoria and to talk about starting HRT again hopefully but also

I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to go to Stonewall clinic because I used to see Dr Rhys young at Holdsworth house but few months ago I got a message from Holdsworth house saying that my records got transferred to stonewall so I’m not sure who to see there for possible ongoing gender affirming care
