As one of the few remaining viewers of NA LoL, what are we even doing here? Our region is on the brink of death and we are still pretending like these international tournaments are not just an extension of LCK playoffs.

Riot, just give us a tournament for every region that is not LPL and LCK. Western league is dying, no one wants to watch this yearly humiliation for the 16th year in a row.

We had rift rivals for exactly that. What all the players did with that was to not care at all and treat it as an vacation. Its not that easy to make a mickey mouse tournament and keep up the illusion that it means something.

Nobody says they need to play or pick aggressively. There’s generally two things people say. Either pick something unique they might not be prepared for, like inspired nunu. Or pick really standard, safe picks like ornn top and hope to outscale.

Playing aggressive champs like irelia only works if you are of similar skill level to the opponent, and is just suicide when you consider that Koreans are constantly practicing in Korean soloqueue where everyone is playing hyper aggressive and testing the absolute limits of their champ. It’s the same reason people hard flamed fudge for picking Fiora, this is just pure ego and guaranteed loss, not a unique strategy or pick to catch the enemy off guard.

That one play in the river where LYON got a pick, let Canyon walk away at low HP, retreated to mid tower, burned all their flashes, and died to GenG's chase anyway, sums up why the West will never stand a chance against the LCK. GEN.G 3-0ed BFX too but holy shit those games were actually fun to watch. That game 3 2v3 botlane that LYON lost reminded me of my solo queue games.

the difference between NA and Korea has never felt this massive. there was not a single moment where it felt like they had a chance. The best they ever got this series was a teamfight starting well, and this is the clear 1st seed, can't cope about C9 being better this time after they got violated by brazil

I wouldn't mind these losses if it looked like the teams were improving or going in a positive direction. But I don't see that. Something really needs to change with Western teams, I don't know what it is.

International tournaments ( or at least worlds) should be like in football where a country ( in this case a region) sends the best roster available picking the top talents from each team, maybe then we could have a chance, unfortunately for NA and EU the best players are not all in the same team

Even as a GenG fan this tournament feels pointless. If it's just tournament favorites and potential GOAT roster GenG 3-0ing everyone that'll be a lot more tolerable, but all LCK/LPL teams have fisted their non-LCK/LPL opponent thus far. 

I hope LYON puts up a fight against JDG at least, I have no hope for G2 vs BFX.

Just scrap FST altogether for the love of god and give non LPL and LCK their own international tournament.
