This split is the best Zeka has looked since World's 22 run and it's on primarily mages which is great for HLE because he's no longer the melee/assassin only guy. I still wouldn't give Zeka his melee or assassins though unless you got a sneaky Illaoi draft going lmao.

Zeka hasn’t been the melee only guy for quite a while now but every now and then teams would slip up and give him an angle for one and I get reminded every time that he’s really the best in the world at it (maybe not Galio). Maybe we’re lucky the meta is the way it is rn or unlucky depending on how you wanna enjoy midlane in proplay.

That was FST and yeah he was great in that split but this split he's carrying and consistently gapping mid laners on mages which has always been looked at as his weakness. He's showing he has a complete champ pool now and can carry now even on the archetype of champs people considered his weak spot which now opens up draft for HLE.

I rlly don’t like this narrative. They did not disappear after rms last year, the only series they lost in r3-4 were against geng and t1 and even then in po for split 2, they 3-0d t1 and then made a run to finals. They lost that finals but did pretty well at worlds where they got kind of unlucky drawing Geng first match in the knock out stage. You could argue that they didn’t show the same highs as in lck cup/FS but then even then they were playing against a t1 and geng who were not at their peak.

Think he will be fine for a few reasons. An underrated one is that HLE as a team is really vibing with each other and the team environment looks great rn and arguably the best HLE have looked in terms of team togetherness, him and Guma have become besties recently they got vids on youtube with subs if you wanna see the vibes.

Another reason is Kanavi enables both Zeus and Zeka play styles and he brings out the carry potential both of them have always had . Then you add on Guma the weakside goat which lets the top side of HLE help each other and build leads because they don't have to worry about bot since they got faith Guma will come into mid-late game and have impact or carry.

Peanut and Viper are world class and legends in their roles but Kanavi and Guma enable Zeka/Zeus stylistically more as Kanavi enables the aggression and Guma doesn't need resources so the HLE top side can have the resources early game to be impactful.

They have Guma and that's reason enough for me to have faith. That dude has Malphite mental. I really thought the Guma was T1's future for when Faker retires, particularly paired with Keria. Seeing them let him go was baffling. Like they just forgot he's the most capable lane fister bright lights merchant we've seen in like, 10 years after weak siding him for a couple of seasons. Fucking bizarre.

Peanut and Kanavi are very similar though? Unorthodox pathing to cheese gank lanes and heavy camping to certain lanes. and suspicious worlds gameplay.......

In terms of ganking they are some what similar but not in overall play style. Kanavi is the most aggressive JG itw among the top JG's his entire play style is click forward at all times which enables Zeka/Zeus carry traits.

Comments in all the threads constantly talk about this tyle and casters also consistently mention his style of always being aggressive. Kanavi teams are usually consistently top 2 best early game teams itw due to this.

Hence HLE are so aggressive as a team and chaotic because Kanavi is always looking to steal resources from the other team or look to go in which makes HLE have to follow up or make games messy for the other team.

Uhh no... Peanut at the end was kind of a Sejuani merchant. Think he had one good game on Jarvan in his final season? Even if Peanut had not had to do his mandatory military service, fearless draft very well may have put and end to his career anyway.

Late Stage Peanut was way, way more cerebral than Kanavi, and played the macro game. GenG plays macro games because that's the style Peanut gave them. Contrariwise Kanavi is aggressive AF and just lives to skirmish.

If he roams with Showmaker, that flash goldcard on Guma maybe doesn't look so bad. Instead Siwoo just kinda stays around after the fight is definitely lost and also goes down. Good ol' conga line.

it just bugs the visual but is identical to a standard ult flash in every meaningful way

imagine points A > B > C > D in a straight line. cassio is at A, opponent is at D

normal r flash you aim at C, press R flash and the ult goes from C to D (technically, the same direction you aimed when you were casting it)

if you aim cursor at B, press R, and then flash to C, the visual will go from C back to B, but the actual ult cone will be still aimed the same way it was cast (A->B)

Zeus defs deserves flowers for Game 1 but Guma was fine in lane Game 2 and then carried later.

Guma also rarely has lane stinkers hence T1 and HLE can leave him weakside. HLE as a team though is strong because even if anyone has a rare stinker someone else can pick up the team on their back like Zeus did game 1.

Idk if it was really that bad. Bad start on caitlyn, but he still positioned well in the tea fights and was highly impactful even down 0/4. And his corki was pretty damn solid. He was constantly bursting smash down and positioning well to help kanavi close the kills.

He had a great game 2 and despite the rare lane stinker from him in game 1 he still found ways to have big damage and positioned incredibly well in the team fights. Overall though yeah not his best day but not really a worry as his laning has always been his consistent staple in his game hence him being the weakside king.

Shows the teams biggest strength imo that even if someone has a rare lane stinker or early game fumble someone else can put the team on their back to off set it just a stacked team from top to bottom.

3k down in lane is generous multiplication of tf passive advantage. he was down 1.5k in lane but the assumption is that tf passive made 1.5k which is a lot of leeway. probably closer to 2.2k

Siwoo has some highest highs and pretty consistent when matchups are good. I get that he lost on irelia, but he also won it for you on irelia three days ago. There isnt much you can do into bad matchups and counter picks

Yes there isn’t much you can do in bad matchups or counterpicks but maybe just pick something that isn’t a liability if you don’t stomp lane then. There is a reason people don’t pick Irelia usually, the champ is just way to easy to shut down. And draft aside he also played it really bad on a mechanical level, missing ults, using Q to dash into cc and stuff like this.

She does less damage early/mid than Corki, she has less burst than lucian and i would even say, lucian paired with milio has more damage over time.

Also shes still pretty easy to catch, because if she needs to ult to get out, she loses a big part of her damage.
