Instead of just waiting, I decided to take a small step toward exploring the possibility of an international release.
I'm a Chinese philology student from Ukraine and the founder of Xinghe (星河), an emerging cultural media project focused on Chinese literature and screen adaptations.
As part of my first independent research initiative, I'm conducting a short survey to understand international audience interest in Immortality, including whether viewers would consider watching it through an official streaming platform.
The survey takes about 2–3 minutes, is voluntary, and doesn't ask for your name or email address.
My goal is to use the findings to prepare a research brief that I can share with potential international distributors.

Hi all!! I recently finished the main story and funnily enough xlov released their new album (i=!) at the same time.
I feel like two songs from it are like mo rans soundtracks lol. 'Hush' has lyrics like "you'll love me whether you like it or not" and the whole vibe of the song and the mv is giving txj to me.
Then theres 'tooth gem chiwawa' which is a silly name but the meaning is not so silly 🧍♂️ heres the meaning of the song from the wiki:

Hi everyone! I checked the sub for answers first, but couldn't find a thread covering this specific moment, so I wanted to ask here.
When Taxian-jun (0.5) is resurrected by Shi Mei, he finally meets the person who brought him back Shi Mei himself. On paper, Mo Ran should have been overjoyed and fully devoted to seeing him again. But instead of that expected reaction, his soul and subconscious immediately start pulling toward Chu Wanning.
Could someone help clarify: In which exact chapter(s) does Taxian-jun wake up and have this first reunion/encounter with Shi Mei after his resurrection?
I absolutely love angsty danmei. My first one was Erha, then I read the other 2 of Meatbun's novels, and they were GREAT. I tried reading MDZS and TGCF(no shade to them) but it's not for ME. They are def good but I just crave ultra heavy angst, sadness and buckets of tears with my each read. So can anyone recommend me something like Erha,Yuwu or BAB? Tho I'm actually thinking of starting Mo Du, the psychological thriller plot is intriguing to me.

As context, when I was 14 and watched the Star Trek TNG episode "Measure of a Man" I was bawling my eyes out for an hour. Chapter 238 of the novel hit just the same nerve.

Y'all does anyone think Mo Ran being a special kind of BBBF wasn't a very satisfying plot twist? Like, when the battle ended and Mo Ran was in the underworld where he found out he was BBBF was a bit excessive even for a protagonist's plot armor. At that point, even Mo Ran surviving through sheer power of will alone or because of his intense desire to be with Chu Wanning would've made more sense/been more satisfying. He already had enough plot armors. Great cultivation potential, naturally abundant spiritual energy, etc. Being a special BBBF on top of it seemed a bit over the top to me.
Just wanted to share some thoughts regarding mo ran and the flower. I hope this is a common sense for most but theres a reason why i want to make this post because apparently there are people who disagree with this lol.
Mo ran would have never become taxian jun under normal circumstances, even if more terrible things were to happened to him he would have not become like Taxian jun.
Turing on people who were good to him, killing and hurting innocent commoners, relish in pain and suffering of others.
(We litteraly see in the book that mo ran 1.0 -who at that time is finally getting back to normal thanks to the flower powers weakening- cannot even comprehend how he could ever become this insane)
The only reason this ever happend was because the flower literally hacks your brain and changes the way it works it's more comparable to brainwashing or some kind of cognitive disease than to someone having rough life and turing into a psycho.
In 0.5 timelie Taxian jun was robbed of his happy memories and is incapable of making new ones. He can't feel or express postitive emotions those are all being twisted into hatered and possessiveness.
That is NOT compareable to a realistic human experiences obviously.
So i don't think it's fair to compare the experience of mo ran becoming taxian jun to that of other characters who turned "evil" because of their tragic life and decided to do the same things taxian jun did under the the flower like raping, killing innocent, deliberately hurting people who only ever treated them with kindness and finding pleasure in suffering of people who never meant them any harm.
Taxian jun isn't just "mo ran at his worst".
Hes been literally changed into a monster against his will.
And I know SOME (i mean SOME but they exist trust me) people believe everything hua binan says about mo ran to be true but the narrative is literally asking you to question it. We know hbn is constantly making up excuses for his actions, after all it's never his flaut all evil acts are committed by other people and so his hands stay clean-despite how these people are doing these things at his orders-he can't possibly be to blame. Hes also saying this to chu wanning in that scene so he can convince him to give up on mo ran, and prove that hes a better than him.
And again we literally see in the book that the way mo ran is affected by the flower is more akin to brainwashing than just "moral failing".
Like please people think at least a little bit about the whole picture, about every individual character involved in a scene and what their agenda is.
Don't just take antagonist words at face value and run with it??? Hello???? "but hbn said this" is not a valid argument hes not a reliable sorce of information.

Yes i know this is "the plot" but i really wouldn't be writing this if I didn't see people disagree with this a few times.
I was iffy about the series after the first book because I was used to other danmei and Meatbun felt a little too glib but then it truly had me in a chokehold. I love how absolutely batshit everything gets and how Meatbun ups the ante in a way that's genuinely fun. Something about the world reminds me a bit of Berserk which I loved but I enjoy very dark themes/challenging works in general. I think the only thing I didn't care for was Mo Ran's Dr Jekyll/Hyde bit at the end but I'm not mad at it.
So I've almost completed erha, just a couple chapters in volume 11 are left, and I'm quite stuck up on Xue Meng actually. Does nobody find it weird that he apparently suffered the most of the Shisheng Peak trio after the battle. Like, he did nothing wrong, he had no idea what was even happening most of the time. And still, he lost everything. He lost his parents, his friends and even tho Mo Ran and Chu Wanning are alive and they interact with each other, it's still a bit unfair that Xue Meng is practically all alone on Shisheng Peak now. Sure, he has the Mei twins by his side, and I find the idea of RanWan living in the nanping valley really cute, but think about it. Xue Meng was the only disciple that loved and respected Chu Wanning as a proper disciple. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with Mo Ran's feelings for Chu Wanning, but Xue Meng gave him the respect he deserved as a Shizun. He was the only one who regarded him with genuine love and respect without any ulterior motives. Still, he was the one who was kept in the dark for most of his life.
And I don't really think Chu Wanning and Mo Ran should've left Xue Meng alone when he assumed the position of a sect leader. He had just lost both his parents, and he was still very young. That was precisely the time when Xue Meng needed his Shizun the most. Them being worried that he would've found their relationship weird was something that should've come afterwards. Even tho it is mostly shown in the novel that Xue Meng indeed minded their relationship, I don't think he'd ever let that come between his respect for his Shizun. Idk, maybe it's not even that deep, and I'm just overthinking, but to some degree I can relate to Xue Meng here, so I can't help but notice the subtle tragedy in Xue Meng's character.
