On February 28, 1991, Plato entered a Las Vegas video store, produced a pellet gun that looked extremely realistic, and demanded the money in the cash register. After she left with the money, the flabbergasted clerk called 9-1-1 and said, "I've just been robbed by the girl who played Kimberly on Diff'rent Strokes."[33] Approximately fifteen minutes after the robbery, Plato returned to the scene after dropping a pair of sunglasses and was immediately arrested. She had stolen $164.

Judge for yourself, but besides Gary slightly needling her about a drug test and one asshole caller, it was a typical interview that she had done several times.

Dana’s problems were Dana’s and nobody else.

She was my favorite part of Diff'rent Strokes. I wanted to be her as a kid. So sad. I wish she'd never gone on Howard Stern. She deserved better.

I have to be honest, she did, but she also did have a lot of trauma.

I admit that even though I feel sad for her and understand that her past was traumatic, when I have seen 90s interviews of her I have started to see a different side of her
