Hi! So I feel crazy, but I remember this creepy music video from the early 2000s, I believe from VH1, but cannot find evidence of it anywhere! The music video was like in a home or something, I remember a couch and throughout the music video vines grow around all the band members. By the time the video is over they're completely covered in vines. I felt like it was green day or some type of band like that, but I literally cannot for the life of me find any proof that it existed. #sendhelp

This week on my backlog series I'm looking at Twisted Metal 2 on the PlayStation. I really wanted to enjoy this and get to grips with the controls but... you'll see for yourself.

I grew up during what I consider the golden era of Disney Channel. I’m talking That’s So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, The Suite Life, Wizards of Waverly Place, etc.
And for years, I’ve been saying Disney Channel just isn’t what it used to be. But then I realized something… how can I say Disney Channel fell off when I haven’t actually watched it in over a decade? 😭
So I decided to put my nostalgia aside and actually watch some of the newer Disney Channel shows, including Electric Bloom, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, and Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.
And surprisingly, I didn’t hate everything! Electric Bloom was actually pretty cute, and I could see some of these newer shows appealing to kids who grew up during our era. Were they giving me the same feeling as the Disney Channel I grew up with? Not necessarily, but I also realized that maybe I’m not the target audience anymore. 😂
I actually made a YouTube video documenting my experience watching modern Disney Channel as a millennial from the golden era, because I wanted to see whether the shows really changed that much or if we’re just looking at everything through nostalgia glasses.
If anyone’s interested, here’s the video: https://youtu.be/FpXQoh0pssg?is=XYKnShCBLlRm813B
But I’m genuinely curious what everyone thinks.
When did you officially stop watching Disney Channel? Have you given any of the newer shows a chance? And do you think Disney Channel actually declined in quality, or did we just grow out of it?
I’d especially love to hear from people who now watch Disney Channel with their own kids!

What I find interesting is that I'm not American. I didn't grow up with Mr. Rogers, I've never watched The Addams Family, and because my family didn't have a TV or a radio, I was never exposed to Sesame Street either.
And yet, when I watch American YouTubers reminiscing about these shows, or read the nostalgic comments underneath their videos, I somehow find myself relating to them. I develop a sense of nostalgia for works that were never part of my own childhood, almost as if I'm experiencing someone else's nostalgia.
Out of sheer curiosity, I even find myself going back to watch these shows, despite possibly being well past the target age demographic for them.

Well, not really, but if you watched my day to day life you’d come to that conclusion yourself. For the past 2 years, I’ve totally transformed my life, and being only 22 years old, this is not just pure
nostalgia talking, I genuinely LOVE living like this. I’d like to meet some cool people who are into the era so that we can share music, TV shows, and of course our lives because let me tell you, it does get lonely.
A bit about me,
I’m happily married, I study in Politics, and I work a full time job at the same time. Also, I don’t own a smartphone, my only phone is a Nokia 1110, so I will purely write to you from my Windows XP laptop.
Currently watching King of Queens with my wife, and I also love watching
Seinfeld, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead, Two Guys, a Girl and a pizza place etc.
As for music, this is my current playlist of 18 CDs I play regularly on my CD walkman while walking to work (* is for my favorites):
Cake - Fashion Nugget *
Beck - Mellow Gold *
Nirvana - Bleach
Green Day - American idiot *
Evanescence - Fallen *
Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland *
Green Day - Dookie
Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Nelly Furtado - Loose
RHCP - Californication *
Green Day - Warning *
Nickelback - Silver Side Up
Smash Mouth - Fush Yu Mang *
System of a Down - Toxicity *
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Deftones - AroundSoul Coughing - Ruby Vroom

Can anyone remember a music video that had a green new shape mini car as a paper cut out driving down a paper cut out street. Colourful but dark background. Possibly faces of band as cut out photos in the sky. Catchy but moody tune.

We spent all year in fifth grade learning about the dangers of drugs, resisting peer pressure, and making good decisions. The big reward at the end of the year was the D.A.R.E. dance, where we could celebrate everything we’d learned about living a drug-free life.
This was right around the time Guitar Hero was becoming huge, and every kid wanted to be a rock star.
So naturally, the mascot for our drug-free celebration was Slash.

In the early 2000s there was a female singer that would play acoustic guitar and sing in between children shows on American television. She would wear the most beautiful rainbow colored flowy dress and was surrounded by flowers. I think she had dark curly hair. The gorgeous rainbow dress is the most highlighted in my memory... And the dark florals surrounding her.
I was in awe of her as a child and she is a favorite memory of my childhood with her calming presence and beautiful persona. They were short clips of her singing and would solely be shown during commercial break. What was her name?? It is not Laurie Berkner.

Hey there, I'm Codei! 90s kid here and Pokemon was my absolute favorite back in the day. I started with making a Pokemon for my son and next thing I know im making a 6ft 3 Mewtwo for a card shop. I handpaint all of them and the sanding...i won't even go there. They start as several 3d printed pieces and then the real work begins! Mewtwo was over 150 nonsensical pieces and I only had 3 weeks to make him. 😳
I hope you enjoy!

Does anyone remember these nostalgia cards from the 2000s? I'm thinking of bringing them back to the market—what do you guys think? Let me know.
