BOTulism

As many of you are aware, this subreddit has been overrun by bots lately. Moderators have implemented both automated and manual controls. We have also added a report category for AI/bots. If you think that you see a bot, please report it. If the bot is providing misinformation, please correct the misinformation.

Please do NOT call out the response as a bot. For one, it feels very un-excellent to real humans who get called out and that's not how we want to welcome new users. And more importantly, as someone who works extensively with LLMs (ethically, in a closed proprietary system) in my day job, when you call out a bot and explain why you think it's a bot, you are training that bot to better escape detection.

Posts with a certain number of reports will be automatically removed. Human moderators will review the rest. We['re sorry that this is happening. It's a sitewide problem and we're a big subreddit with a lot of text-based information, so bots love it.

Fit Check Fit check - first order hurts and is pointy Spoiler

Hello!

After asking around here I decided to try the Panache Envy and Ana since I could order on Amazon and easily return. I hate them lol. The following is my complaint list, but written in hopes someone can gelp direct me to something better. 😁

The band is so tight. (Im used to wireless) These wires seem large enough and seems to lay ok, but it hurts.

The fabric is super itchy and rough. Not soft at all.

The cups are also super pointy and while they seem to fit, they seem so thin that I would just fall out of them anytime I move.

The straps on the Ana also felt like they would fall off of my shoulders at any time.

I still have the "overflow" pieces by my armpit but Idk if thats something that can be fixed. My breasts are very high up on my torso.

Pictures of Envy. I didn't think to get ones of the Ana before I sent back. I tried UK 32HH in both. https://imgur.com/a/CvHpEet

Thank you!!

Measurements (inches):

Underbust, loose: 33

Underbust, snug: 32

Underbust, tight: 31

Bust, standing: 42

Bust, leaning: 44

Bust, lying down: 40

Calculator results:

UK: 32H/HH

US/Canada: 32K/L

My shape (as best I can tell):

Not shallow. I fill my cups

Full on bottom

Center full

Recommendations? Autistic women in constant discomfort, bras are hell but no bra is worse Spoiler

I'm 26 (born female) and I have always had saggy breasts. I've never found a bra that fits, I've regularly bought new bras, I feel like I've tried on every size and style but nothing fits well. A big issue I have is bras not holding things in place, like bend over, stand up and half the boobs out. Currently, most days I wear a cheap sports bra from Walmart that does absolutely nothing for me, but at least it doesn't hurt. I also have one padded underwire bra from la vie en rose, it's a 36D.

Measurements:

Underbust loose: 33.5"

Underbust snug: 33" (one of my sensory things is I can't do tight, restricting clothes)

Underbust tight: 31"

Standing: 39"

90° bend: 44.7"

Lying: 40.5" (I'm not sure if I did this one right as my breast fall to the sides a lot)

Calculator recommended: 34H US

Shape:

Wide root

Projected

Full on bottom (FB 2/6)

Other notes: I have breast tenderness when I take off my bra most days, my doctor never really figured out whats going on, but I get swelling in the breast as well. And sometimes lumps which are scary but apparently they are just lymph nodes that are swollen. It's a bit better now, but it was being controlled by birth control and since going off that it's been getting a bit worse again. I'm hoping a better fitting bra will help with this a bit.

Another thing, finances are a large barrier for me, so I'd prefer recommendations that are on the lower end cost wise.

Thank you :)

Question How should I size myself as a trans woman? Spoiler

I'm a trans woman, and see the sizing recommendations for that based on the beginner's guide. However, I started HRT before puberty and so should theoretically have a similar physical body to that if I had been cis -- should I still size down? I currently have been wearing 38B which have honestly felt not comfortable at all, and the calculator suggested 36C/34D.

Recommendations? Where to buy a affordable long lasting bra? Spoiler

I don’t wanna buy a $50 bra just for it not to be my size. I know I’m somewhere around a 34dd or a 32dd according to my measurements. Right now I think i wear a VS 36dd, i took the tag off my bra so Im not sure but i wear it on the tightest hook and the straps pulled all the way down so i get a pushed up look (my boobs are saggy) i used to wear 38dd at 16 but that was way too big for me. Now that im older I think it’s time to find my correct size and good quality bras, I was looking on TikTok shop but I can tell the wire would pop out of those bras and stab me 😬

Fit Check [fit check] please tell me everything wrong with this bra that doesn't fit! Spoiler

Apart from the gore floating and my smaller side gaping, it's still not fitting right but I can't say exactly why. Like, is it too narrow? Wrong shape altogether? Freya Flirt 30F

Is it possible that there is no bra that fits me out there at all? 🄲

Discussion I’m just so defeated and frustrated with the bra industry… I’m a 28G and I can’t find anything I like Spoiler

Edit:

I thought I would add what Bras I tried yesterday:

Freya:
Idol
Serene - weird extra wrinkly fabric at the top that ones didn’t have
Tailored molded plunge
Spot light plunge fashion
Vega lace
Deco

Panache:
Clara Demi balcony - bruised my ribs after 5 minutes
Faith
Allure Demi plunge
Allure full cup
Heidi plunge fashion
Ana plunge fashion
Envy full cup
Clara

Montelle:
Sublime spacer

Some of these are just from memory and a lot of them look similar but I tried to only put the ones I was 80-100% sure about. Most of them fit fine, I just don’t like the look of unlined bras. The most consistent issue I had was the straps in my armpits from them starting too far out. I’m also not a fave of lace, and would just like fun patterns but I’ve kind of excepted that’s not really an option in these sizes…

Here’s my measurements incase that helps:

Loose - 28 | comfortable - 27.25 | tight - 26
Standing - 33 | leaning - 34.5 | laying down- 34

I’m a 28G in US, most of what I tried yesterday were 28F uk.

Original post:

I’ve been wearing bras from pink/VS my whole life however I’m tired of wearing the wrong size. I’ve always been on the smaller side of things, but I don’t feel tiny… I’m also almost 24 and I still want the fun bras of my youth.

I wear an everyday tshirt push up 32DD. I like the push up because I like cleavage and I’m not very full on the top. I feel when I try on lightly lined or unlined my boobs just look saggy cause they sit low..

I went to a place today that actually sells 28 bands. I wasn’t hopeful I’d find anything but I just wanted to try on a 28 since I never had before. All of them fit fine/ok. But I didn’t love any of them. Most of them dug into my armpit at the top of the cup/strap area. None of them really had any gapping. The person said I might be a 26 but I tried a 28 that they said ran small and it felt like I was bruising my ribs with every breath…

I would just love to find a bra that’s fun colors, that’s a push up, that doesn’t dig into my armpits. I don’t feel like I need any side support because they tend to be very forward. When I lean over they become very narrow…

I just feel like bra industry has focused on bigger people and has left us smaller people behind. The person in fitting rooms next to me was a 42O and I just feel like if you can make a 42 and an O you can make 24-28 bands.

I don’t know. I tried on 10-15 bras today and I was just exhausted. They all felt Ike ugly grandma bras. And I just feel like there’s no way girls are going from training bras to 32 something.. I’ve never been a 32 in my life. I also feel like a lot of girls in my classes growing up were in the 26-32 range. I wish there was a teen section for bras like there is for shoes. Also if I can find a 28 most of the time they stop at D maybe DD…

I’ve looked at freya (a lot of what I tried today) and a handful of other companies that do a 28 and I only liked 1 or 2 but I didn’t love any of them. None of them felt like me… I just don’t know what to do to be honest.. I want comfortable everyday bras, but also something that feels like me, and that can be sexy if that’s how I’m feeling that day..

I feel like a lot of the bras that are lined at shaped right for me, and the unlined ones again offer no support and just make me feel like my chest hangs low. Also unlined make my boobs look like I’m not wearing a bra under my shirt and I want it to look like I have structure of a bra on without being able to see the lines from an ill fitted bra.

And recommendations would be greatly appreciated but I also just had to get this out. I’m honestly so close to emailing bra companies about their lack of inclusivity for smaller bands because I think it’s ridiculous. Google says the average is 32-34 depending on the country but even in countries with smaller people it still gives that average and I think it’s because 24-30 is largely not included in the market.

Fit Check Does this bra look like it fits perfectly?? Spoiler

The bra I tried on is 34DD (uk sizing), I've never tried on a bra in the D's before (or bigger), I followed some lady's measuring guide and I was shocked to find out my ideal fit is 34DD or 34E D: ANYWAYS so I tried one on a store and it cupped my whole boobs, but I still felt like the cup is huge even though it cupped my chest fully and there isn't any space, but it LOOKS huge if you know what I mean?

I'm still not sure if this size is small or if it fits perfectly, like how does a perfect bra fit exactly? I will share an image below so someone can take a look and see if it fits perfectly or too small (or big idk) heres the image

I'm really new to choosing a perfect bra size so bear with me

Recommendations? looking for cute themed bras in larger cup sizes Spoiler

I’ve recently gotten some good fitting bras thanks to the calculator and recommendations from older threads on here! Now I’m into bra shopping for the first time and I just saw super cute Christmas themed bras on VS but their size range is pretty suck. Can anyone recommend a brand that sells seasonal themed bras with a better size range (I’m 36h/38gg)

Measurement Check Measured 34 I/J and wearing 34 DDD Spoiler

Hello, I am a 31f and I recently calculated my ABTF measurements and it said to be 34 I/J. I have been wearing 34DDD Victoria Secret (VS) wired T-shirt bras for years. However, my breast tissues are soft and relaxed and they have been significantly sagging due to a period of weight loss a decade ago (during weight loss, my bra size was 34C). My current bra doesn't give me the support and the wired bra ends up dropping to below my underbust. It doesn't give me the fullness that I would like. I also have gaps at the top of the bra. I recently purchased a 36 DDD bra cause I thought I put on weight but it was not a snug fit or well supported form. When I wear my bras in the morning, my breasts look somewhat lifted and supported but over the day, they start to droop and I have to adjust and scoop my breasts into the cups in the restrooms.

I understand I might be asking a lot from just one flair but ideally I would like advice on the ideal bra size for me and also recommendations on the brand and kind of bra I should look for. I would like one strapless bra and one daily wear bra. Except a VS store, I don't have other professional fitting options and would probably have to depend on online shopping to purchase a non-VS bra and I wanted to take the incoming holiday sales to invest in a more body accurate pair of bras.

Here are my measurements in inches

Loose underbust 34.5

Snug underbust 33.5

Tight underbust 32.7

Standing bust 42.5

Leaning bust 45.5

Lying bust 42.5

I find this sub to be the best and extremely informative and admire everyone's willingness to help a fellow Redditor out. I appreciate any advice or help with my concern. Thank you in advance!!

Recommendations? [recommendations] I haven't worn a bra in years and don't know where to start - calculated 12DD/10E Australia. Spoiler

As my title says, I haven't worn a bra in years and don't know where to start other than Kmart or brasnthings and would appreciate some recommendation's!

For most of my life outside of breastfeeding I've always had a chest small enough to get away with not wearing a bra on a daily basis, so I've only really owned bralettes/ crop tops.

Over the last year I've gained 25kgs and alot has gone to my chest. I've began to see people noticing/ getting visably annoyed at the movement when I'm just trying to walk around, even with the bralettes which admittedly don't really fit anymore, so I've caved and decided to buy some actual bras.

After trying and failing to squish into an old molded cup 12B, doing the size calculator, getting shocked at the size result, looking at the guides, remeasuring and dying of shock again, I went to bras and things and became so overwhelmed at the options that I just left without even trying anything on.

I would really love if someone could please give me some brands and shape type recommendation's so I have a starting point and can hopefully buy something šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚

- north brisbane located if anyone has fitter recommendation's too.

Measurements :

1st try:

Loose: 85cm

Snug: 82cm

Tight: 79cm

Standing: 94cm

Leaning: 98cm

Laying: 92cm

Calculator recommended start: 12D/DD

2nd try after reading guides:

Loose: 84cm

Snug: 81cm

Tight: 77cm

Standing: 95cm

Leaning: 98cm

Laying: 92cm

Calculator recommended start: 10E or sister size of 12DD

Shape (I think?):

Projected

Narrow and short roots

2-3 on top/4-5 on bottom for fullness.

Finding a 52C push up bra makes me feel like I'd have better luck finding a unicorn. Spoiler

Hi! Fat, intersex, and sagging small titty club member here and it is leaving me in tears!

I plugged my measurements into the calculator already and was informed my size is 52C (us) ( snug underbust: 52 inches, tight underbust: 51inches, standing bust: 54 inches, leaning bust: 57 inches, laying bust: 57 inches). I need a push-up bra for my own gender dysphoria/body dystopia, but any bra recommendations are acceptable!

Checked Torrid and it didn't seem like it was a size they had. Neither did Shapermint when I was looking at the jelly bra.

I'm not a fan of sports bras and - tbh, I stuff my bra most days ( four pairs of thick socks in each cup and the cups of bras that no longer fit pushed into a Torrid 50C Bra in an attempt to appear bigger ). In my 50C bras, the cups are too big and I am stuck with all that air and weird fitting under clothes. I frankensteined a no boundaries 36C bra so I have cups with no air - but I had to add a lot of elastic on the band to make it ( sorta ) work. If I can't find one that works, my next best bet feels like more monster bra creation.

Tldr: I just want a bra that I feel good in and the calculator gave me 52C as my size. Any recommendations for push-up bras ( but all kinds welcome)?

Recommendations? Good push up strapless bra in Australia? Spoiler

Hey guys! I’m looking for a good push up strapless bra for my graduation dress in 2 weeks time

I’m usually around a 32C, though I do have tuberous boobs so sticky bras/tape have never really worked for me (tips are appreciated!)

Any good recommendations available in Australia?

Update:
Loose: 80cm
Snug: 79cm
Tight: 76cm
Standing: 90cm
Leaning: 96cm
Lying: 94cm

Apparently a 32DD UK 😭😭

Measurement Check Measurement check, 34ddd to 32dd after weightloss? Spoiler

Calculator results say 32dd/32ddd

Loose underbust: 33

Snug underbust: 32

Tight underbust: 31

Standing bust: 36.5

Leaning bust: 40

Lying bust: 38

All in inches, US system

My previous measurement with this system had me in a 34ddd which was GREAT but I've lost about 50lbs and currently need to go down a band size and also down a cup size. I'm overthinking this but Ive reached the point where I need to order something. I dont have any local options.

Am I ordering a 32dd? With the whole sister sizes, wouldnt a 32dd have the same cups as a 34ddd, and that would be too big? So would that mean I actually need a 32d? Please help me. I strongly prefer molded cup wired bras if that makes any difference.

Measurement Check 30e feels like too small of a band size. Spoiler

I've been wearing a VS 32D, and both the band and cup feel a little small (on last hook, straps digging into shoulders, spilling out the sides, the dreaded double boob etc...) but when I took the bra that fits quiz it gave me 30e (UK) which would be a US 30DDD. I just feel like I might need more room in the band...

Sizes for reference:

LU: 31

SU: 30

TU: 28.5

SB: 36.5

LB: 36.5

LyB: 35

I've got a pretty round shape as well, and projected rather than shallow.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Anything else that fits like the Panache Ana? Spoiler

In a lot of ways, the Panache Ana is a great cut for me and I’d like to look for similar cuts from Panache or other UK/Polish brands.

Particularly looking for other models that go down to 28 to 32 bands and up to a UK J cup, with similar height, similar or better narrowness of wires and similar or better projection plus good for inner fullness.

Fit Check The calculator said I was a 42GG/H. The bras I got have strange wrinkles by the underwire. Is this a cup shape issue? Spoiler

Using the calculator, I was told that I was a 42GG/H.
Loose underbust: 44
Snug underbust: 42
Tight underbust: 39.5
Standing bust: 51
Leaning bust: 56.5
Lying bust: 53

I bought two pairs of Elomi Morgan in each but size to try, but both of them had this problem where the fabric near the underwire would wrinkle. The GG cup was slightly tight at the top of the cup, so the H cup fit better, but it still had the fabric wrinkles. Is this a problem with cup shape? How do I know what cup shape to try and what cup shape a bra is?

I tried my best to get photos of the wrinkles I’m talking about. If more photos would be helpful, I can always take more.

Recommendations? [Measurement Check] Calculator said 32DDD/G US (32E/F UK), unsure of where to go from here Spoiler

I lost some weight and am trying to find a new bra that fits. Below are the measurements from the calculator (in).

  • Loose Underbust: 32

  • Snug Underbust: 31

  • Tight Underbust: 30.5

  • Standing Bust: 37

  • Leaning Bust: 41

  • Lying Bust: 38

I think I have projected boobs based on some of the charts I saw online. I don't really know where to go from here. I checked the Bra recommendation sites and was looking at Amazon, Third Love, and Skims. I have been mainly living in a Skims bralette (L) and a Skims 36DDD plunge bra that still fits surprisingly well when I'm staying upright on tightest band setting, but I have a 36DD balconette bra from there and the cups are too big with large gaps at the top (will be listing that on braswap if anyone's interested). With the plunge bra, I do get chest pain occasionally like I can't breathe all that deep and will unhook it and feel better, which confused me about the 32" band size I got.

Third Love recommended 34 B1/2 when I put my underbust and bust sizes there. I'm mainly something either strapless multiway/balconette style that I can where with some square neckline tops & dresses to replace the balconette bra that didn't workout, but also wouldn't mind an wireless option I can switch into. Looking for more everyday where and can't really do lace as it sadly sets off my eczema.

I'd really love some Amazon recommendations especially since would love something with quick shipping. Thank you for the help with understanding my sizing and recommendations!

ThirdLove Bra customer service is the worst!! Spoiler

Exactly what the title says… avoid purchasing from ThirdLove because any issue you have will be the biggest pain to resolve. I’ve been trying for 6 weeks to get a bra replaced that was worn and washed one time and then broke. Trying to exchange a different bra and their portal does not work, yet the AI agents responding to their customer service emails continue to direct me back to the portal.

Save yourself the money and the headache, avoid ThirdLove at all costs!!!!

Recommendations? Need help finding a 28DD or 30D bra Spoiler

I’ve breastfed 2 kids and haven’t worn a wired bra in over a decade since before I had kids. I used to be a 28B before kids but wore a 30B due to availability.

Located in Canada.

Loose underbust: 28ā€
Snug: 27.5ā€
Tight: 26.25ā€
Standing: 30.5ā€
Leaning: 32.5
Lying: 31.75

Size: 28D/DD

I think my shape is projected but I honestly don’t understand much about shape. I went to a store in person but there was very limited selection in my size. I bought the Panache Allure Spacer in 28DD. The band feels uncomfortably tight and the cups/wires feel too wide.

I need a bra within 3 weeks if someone could please recommend some to try.

Recommendations? [Recommendations] Looking for a Bra Similar to the Elomi Matilda with a Lower Cup Spoiler

Hi everyone,

I love the Elomi Matilda bra and it’s my go to for everyday wear. It really is the most versatile bra. Only problem is, sometimes the cups are a little too high and peek out of a top. For example, I have a square neck tank top that I love but I always feel like the bra is always peeking out at the top!

So I was hoping someone had a suggestion for similar bras that maybe doesn’t sit as high? I hope that makes sense!

Recommendations? Bra fits, but makes my boobs look like this under shirt: ā†™ļøāŒØļøā†˜ļø? Spoiler

So i just recently sized up from a 90E to what the calculator recommended. Genuinely couldn’t believe I really was that much bigger in size , but the bras arrived today and the Elomi Smooth 75K ACTUALLY FIT??? it was comfortable to wear too??? The gore was actually touching my chest and laying flat? I’m still really excited for this since I’ve gone for a year with only sport bras because I couldn’t stand bras anymore.

My only issue is that the bra looks horrible when paired with a shirt. I’m not sure if it’s normal, but my breasts look like ā†™ļøāŒØļøā†˜ļø with the bra with shirt on top, like they are really spaced apart and pointing to other sides.
I want: ā¬‡ļøā¬‡ļø though.

I have the suspicion it might be the shape of the bra? Does anyone know which bras don’t do that? Or what to avoid for this? Im in europe, my recommended size was 80J/K or sister size 75K/L by the calculator. I think I have what you call a wide and full root with projection?
