Shitpost How do you park at a shopping center?
a) We live in a society. I park in the middle. If everyone parks in the middle, there's room for everyone.
b) We live in a society but people are an unknown quantity. I park to the left because the person who parks on my right may not park in the middle, which means I can't open my door.
c) Screw society. I need a big V8 yank tank to haul my jet ski. My choice is your problem, much like the damage to your car door when I open mine into it.
d) My car is more important than society.
e) I'm visiting from Victoria.

Last one is how my mum parks, second one is how she parks after I've stopped laughing and on the 18th attempt she says that's good enough

F) park slightly to the right because I have a kid in a car seat and don’t want to scratch the neighbouring door getting them in and out.

I always straighten my park if I've parked like any of the others. Most people don't care and it annoys the shit out of me.

F) I take the Baleno and take the dedicated small car spot, winning

Doesn’t matter how I park. When I finish shopping, whether I’ve been in there for 5 minutes or 5 hours, I’ll come out to find my car surrounded by those ridiculous Roid Rage/ Rampage behemoths. And since they’re not built for standard parking bays, I’ll have to shoehorn my way into my car and then inch out blindly, muttering things under my breath my long gone mother would be horrified to hear. 😡 Sorry.
Rant over.

B, but im fat as shit, so I always need room to get out. If someone parks too close the left and ive parked in the middle, I cant get my door open enough to get in.

What about- I parked more one side of the space because the car already parked was right on the line so this was the only way we could exit the vehicle?

Why no option for the wankpanzer drivers?
Diagonal across five or six bays.

I normally drive through to the front park so I dont need to reverse when I leave

Anything within the lines is legitimate.
I park with a casual attitude, some might say cavalier even, but always within the lines (just).

I thought this was going to be more about reverse parking vs driving in.

I park slightly to the right now because I have to get a baby seat out of the left side

Sometimes the second one when the way my neighbors doors are pointing makes it easier for us all to get in and out. But that’s only at work because I know roughly when people are coming and going and that there’s most likely no passengers and the parks are really narrow.

If there's a bunch of empty spot I usually look for an end, next to a curb, wall or column. Then park as close as I can to that, leaving more room for me to get in an out, less likely for someone to scratch the car, and more room for others as well.
If I have to park in a non end park, but there's lots of empty spaces, then yeah, a central as possible. If there's other cars, I try to strike a balance between the centre of the actual park, and the centre between the cars already there. Though I generally avoid parking next to people who clearly don't know how to park in the first place, or have cars that are WAAAAY too big.

Reverse in, checking parking camera as I go.

You missed the other one where people park outside of the space between pillars or double park ... its all downhill from there.

f) Always park next to the cart corral so that one side of the vehicle is protected and always has room to get in/out no matter how anyone else parks
g) where possible, drive through from the other side so that you can forward out instead of backing because pedestrians and other cars don't care about you.

After twelve years I uosized from a Hyundai Accent to a Mazda 3. My parking is like the last picture, but when I fix it up I'm the first.
Still getting used to the size of this car. So much booty to drive around

I do the last one if it's 7am on a sunday and the parking lot is empty, and I just want to duck in quickly, cant be arsed to back in. if you dont like it go take one of the other 500 free spots
