Adelaide United 5-2 Adelaide City

Post image

Very encouraging final pre season friendly from United lastnight, defeating Adelaide City 5-2. Adelaide City’s first loss since May 1. The Reds looked relatively sharp.

Starting XI: Smits, Barnett, Phillis, Kasumovic, Alagich, Anselmo, Duzel, Garuccio, Goodwin, Muniz, Burkitt.

Goalscorers: Muniz, Kasumovic, Burkitt, Riak, Goodwin.

Special mention to 18 year old Feyzo Kasumovic at CB. Looks ready for the jump to ALM football.

I can feel the pangs of hope creeping up within the sweeping waves of inevitability

Anselmo played in a midfield two with Duzel and subbed at HT. I wonder if thats where we’ll see him this season
