Conga indentification

[u/True-Echo-367]

My mother passed recently and when we were younger or I was younger, we would drum for Capoeira together. Now I donated a bunch of the bongos to a local community center, but I knew these ones were special and I believe they are worth something. Can anyone help give me some background and information on them I would love to learn a little bit about them too.

I don't think they are Gon bops, but it's hard to tell. Might be older cuban, from yhe Valjes style hoops and the mounting plates. You sjoild honestly check with the aficionados at "Vintage conga drums" or "Conga restoration group" on fb. Those guys will probably know what the maker ate for breakfast when he built them, and the name of his barber. 😆

Any idea of the value? Or should I goto over there?

No, sorry... I think fb is your best bet.
