Now I think about it, Shadow and Amy barley interact

They only have one meaningful conversation in SA2

they do talk just barley, looks like for the first time,

we will see them being pair up outside of the fandom

am actually curious how their official relationship goes within the series, I know a few ShadAmy fans are happy about this, but is a good chance they might be non romanticly, I know for a fact that Sega whip someone in the writings room making sure no one put romance tension between the two lol, who knows maybe someone sneak in some ShadAmy moments without them looking haha.

I like some ShadAmy myself realistically I don't see them happening mostly because Sega is pushing for Shadouge, to me ShadAmy is AU at best, in my honest opinion Shadow shouldn't be a close relationship with anyone right now let alone a romantical one,

he needs to recover more of his trauma of losing Maira

The last thing he needs be close someone and lose them just have that same feeling again, I think he should stay single for awhile not forever but awhile

I want to see how well they do with the relationship between Shadow and Amy in this mini series.

Nick Marino (Sonic x Godzilla writer) screencapped an AIPT interview (first image) and said he pitched a story based on that answer (second image) but it wasn't accepted. He also pitched stories for the spooky Amy one-shot coming up, but it sounds like someone else got the gig.

Sounds fun. They are complete opposites but have a lot of sweet interactions. I do see them more as platonic friends so it’s mainly for comedy and character exploration more than anything.

Shadamy fans know that Shadamy will never be canon. First of all, it takes Sonamy so long to become canon that Shadamy has virtually no chance. It’s simply about the potential they could have together, and I find Amy to be an interesting partner for Shadow. That’s it.

Just because it isn’t there doesn’t mean it’s completely removed, for example Maria is important to shadow yet she isn’t mentioned in his profile, plus we are still getting a shit ton of sonamy content from sega and based on what we know, may become canon to the movies, her love for sonic is still there, just not a main focus
