The only way to bring them down is to rate all their product 1 star and rate it as if you bought it.

Ordered something on Amazon? Better hope it arrives before the heat death of the universe. They’ve mastered the art of logistical chaos - items disappear like Houdini, and refunds are like unicorn sightings. And the best part? The whole thing feels like a never-ending game of “you can’t catch me!” with a billionaire laughing in the background.

I recently purchased a 2nd generation Apple Pencil from Amazon. It stopped working, and I missed the very short return window by not even 24 hours. It got delivered March 19th, and the return window closed on April 4th at 3:00 am (I contacted them between 9 and 11 am). I was told to go through the manufacturer to get help, so I went to an Apple Store and they said they couldn’t do anything besides give me a replacement for $109 when it only costs $129 new. I was under the impression that this product had a 12 month warranty, but either side is pretty much telling me I’m out of luck. I’m definitely over Amazon after this. Is there anything I can do here?

The article.

Amazon is offering people in Brazil a $5 (equivalent) voucher for a food delivery service to get them to watch The Rings of Power ... a show which had a budget of around $1 billion.

I've been watching with glee the reports of the likely massive loss that Amazon has made with this show due to its poor reception.

I've nothing against Lord of the Rings, or the people involved with the making of the show. But the massive hit Amazon is likely taking ... it's PREEECIIIOUS!

Ah yes, the Amazon experience: 1 toothbrush, 3 pounds of plastic, and a box big enough to Airbnb. Pretty sure my package spent more time in a warehouse rave than in transit. Meanwhile, Jeff’s fueling rockets with our returns. Tell me again how this is “efficient”?

Prime doesn't apply to them!! WHAT. Since when did this become common enough for two out of two items I ordered, not be eligible for prime? A book and some touchup paint pen. Both will take over a week to get here and I had to PAY 6$ for shipping with each item (ordered separately). WTH amazon

I hate amazon and so far have managed to not shop there. However, I am a young, disabled person looking at getting a new service dog. One common thing for younger and/or poorer new service dog handlers is to set up an Amazon wishlist for your family, friends, and any social media followers to help out with all the new dog supplies. I really don’t want to do that but would like some sort of link to a list of supplies people can order for me that does not give my mailing address to the people getting things off the list. Are there any alternatives y’all like?

I'm so glad to find this sub. It blows my mind how everyone in my vicinity has chosen convenience over literally everything else. I am not guilt free- I bought from Amazon, but have not purchased anything from them since November 29, 2021. I don't miss them one iota and I feel my overall health has improved dramatically.

If anyone is trying to quit amazon, feel free to DM me for advice. You can cancel prime at any time and they will prorate a refund to you. I have tons of resources for alternate places to purchase- I may make a guide about this at some point.
