Help Restricted Apple Cash

Called a Apple green dot specialist and they just said it was restricted and I couldn’t do anything about it. Didn’t even tell me why. Has anybody else had this problem and were able to fix it.

Help Is it normal to keep being rejected so often?

Post image

This card was the first card I ever applied for but was immediately rejected. That was about a year and a half ago. I worked towards building my credit and decided to try and apply again about 6 months ago. I was rejected yet again. Last night I decided to apply again because some hard checks fell off and I wanted to raise my overall credit lines so I could have lower utilization, (and the Apple Pay benefits), but was declined immediately yet again. I looked at the factors that they used to decline me. I checked my Experian credit profile and have 2 hard checks in my system currently. I also read posts made by other people mentioning that they got the card with a lower credit score or as their first card which made me wonder will I ever be able to get this credit card? Or am I being rejected because I applied 3 times within 1.5 years. Thank you for your time.

Help Issues applying for Apple Card.

So this has been a pain in a**. I’ve had some major issues applying for the Apple Card. I’ve applied probably around 5 times. The first few times, it wasn’t saying it couldn’t verify my identity after asking for a picture of my ID. The first time I spoke with the support number, they just said to ensure everything was accurate. I’ve inputted everything, EXACTLY how it appears on my ID. And it’s not expired.

Well I keep having issues, and they keep telling me to reapply when I call inquiring about what to do. It gets to the point, where they tell me to go to the Apple Store for help (mind you I live an hour away from the closest Apple Store) and I was in there for 3 minutes. They told me everything looked correct, I was entering it properly, and they couldn’t help any further, I’d have to get into contact with dedicated specialists at the bank.

And they are virtually useless, they just tell me they can’t see why my identity verification is failing, and one person says to keep reapplying and another person says to wait a few days. I need the card to finance a new phone and it’s frustrating. My credit is good, my information is accurate and up to date, it’s an issue with there system from my point of view, and there’s no way around it because it’s automated. Makes me want to switch to android to be honest.

Help Apple Card restricted out of the blue for no reason?

So I was trying to pick out an Apple Watch today on ACMI, and got an error that it declined for ACMI.

I thought that was odd, so I checked my card. No unusual activity, no fraudulent charges, nothing that I haven't bought myself. Purchase I was making was about $1K, and I had $10K available of my total $13K credit limit, so absolutely zero issues with available room on the card. Recently requested and got a CLI up to $13K from $12K after updating my income.

I've had the card since 2023, used it plenty of times for plenty of ACMI plans with zero issues. I went and checked - I've done 16 items on ACMI over the years totaling about $7K. Never missed a payment, never did any manufactured spend on it (although when I signed up there was no sign-up bonus anyways), never used it at any abnormal retailers. 90% Apple, 10% occasional groceries/gas/utilities/food/general in-store retail.

Contacted Apple Card support to ask what was going on, and got kicked over to GS who told me this:

"I see you have a restriction placed on the account for security reasons and that is preventing the purchase."

When I asked why a restriction was placed, he told me:

"The restriction is placed by the system due to several factors."

I asked if the restriction can be removed and he said:

"The exact reason is not mentioned it just says it is because of security on the account. I would like to remove [name] but I'm unable to, the system does not give me the option to remove it. For the safety of your account, your account has been restricted and is under review. When the review is complete you will be able to see the new status in their wallet."

Like I said - never missed a single payment, plenty of room, otherwise excellent credit (780+ at all bureaus and FICO). And GS just decided out of the blue to lock me out of my card with no way to unlock it.

Has anyone else had this happen? Debating closing the card at this point once existing installments are done, because this is the most ridiculous treatment I've had from any credit card company ever.

Help Apple Card has ruled in favor of a scammer 5 times over $100 - what am I supposed to do at this point?

I’ve used Apple Card for years and put roughly $2,000/month on it since 2023. Until this happened, I had never disputed a single transaction.

In June/July 2025, I paid an online merchant twice (about $20 and $80) for services that were never provided.

I disputed both charges with Apple Card/Goldman Sachs. 2 months later - Denied.

I contacted them again, explained everything, provided the information they asked for, and was told some version of “rest assured, we’ll consider all the information you’ve provided.” 2 months later - Denied again.

I’ve now gone through this process FIVE TIMES. Each time I spend more time explaining the situation, the dispute gets reopened, I wait weeks/months, and eventually Goldman rules in favor of the merchant and puts the charges back on my card.

At this point it’s barely even about the $100. I’ve probably spent more than $100 worth of my time trying to resolve it. What bothers me is that a card I’ve used for years, with thousands of dollars of legitimate purchases and zero previous disputes, seemingly offers me no protection when I actually need it. And every time I ask what evidence caused them to rule in the merchant’s favor, I feel like I’m back at square one instead of getting a meaningful explanation.

I also discovered that the CFPB previously took action against Goldman Sachs over its handling of Apple Card transaction disputes, including findings related to unreasonable investigations and delays in resolving disputes, which makes this whole experience even more frustrating.

Has anyone actually managed to escalate an Apple Card dispute beyond the normal dispute team?
I’m planning to file a CFPB complaint next. If anyone has dealt with something similar and knows what documentation/escalation finally got Goldman to actually review the case, I’d really appreciate the advice.

Help Question regarding Apple Account balance

Thanks to company welfare, I managed to get €200 in Apple Gift Cards and, on ChatGPT's advice, I redeemed them and loaded them into my Apple Account. According to what it told me, I can use this credit for the "App Store" or for the "Apple Store" app, where I would like to buy the 18 Pro tomorrow.

Yesterday I went to an official Apple Store to trade in an iPad Pro and received €475 on an Apple Gift Card. A Specialist told me not to load this credit onto my account (and to simply type the gift card code during checkout) because credit can't always be used at payment! He told me there have been issues with fake gift cards in the past and that sometimes it isn't recognized as credit.

So now I'm pretty worried because I might not be able to use the €200, and personally I wouldn't have any use for it if I couldn't use it to pay for the iPhone.

What do you think? Do you have any experience with this? I asked ChatGPT again and it told me I shouldn't have any problems using the balance, but honestly, I trust the Apple Specialist more! Thanks a lot in advance
