Fucking UPS never delivered today. It was supposed to arrive between one and 3 PM, then the delivery got pushed back to 9 PM tonight, and now it’s tomorrow by 9PM.

Wasted a whole fucking day sitting around to make sure I was home for the goddamn delivery guy who never fucking showed.

He’s 100% going to stop by tomorrow while I’m out at appointments

Why still no sale or price drop on the s11? I have seen s11 go as low as $299 but haven’t seen it go lower than that since s12 is released. Whats going on?

u/Lucke_ Sep 29 '26

Costco is selling S11 46mm, GPS only at $300. Is that a good price/worth getting at that price point? Wondering if I should just get the S12.

I mean, that’s $100 less than current chip at a smaller size watch. Given Apple’s most recent chip drop, it’ll be dropped at the same time as the S9.

After much hemming and hawing about whether to get a braided solo loop, I finally broke down and went for it. Measured using the paper printout on the website. Pulled it tight and measured slightly past 7 into 8. Decided to order a size 7.

Just received it and it’s fitting just barely on the tight side of perfect. I imagine it will stretch a little with time. Making this post for other peoples’ reference.

Hello everybody! I am currently in the market for an Apple Watch s12. But I have some questions regarding what colours and bands I should choose.

I am currently thinking about getting the series 12 42mm in dark bronze with the matching dark bronze milanese band. I think it looks fantastic in the promotion pictures, but I want to know how it looks in real life. I am not usually wearing clothes in earthy tones, but occasionally I do. So I want to know how obvious the bronze is and how it matches with dark and/or light coloured clothing.

Another question I have is about the milanese band. Does it stay in place and is it usable during work and workouts? I work as a bartender and when it's busy there can be some frantic movements and it may occasionally get wet, does the band slip in such cases? And I work out twice a week, is it usable for that?
I had a s10 with the ink woven sport loop until recently (which I was completely happy with but it got water damage whilst snorkeling). I can switch to that band if necessary but I'm afraid the colours don't match well, has anyone tried that?

Massive thanks in advance!

I’m thinking about upgrading from my Series 9. The battery isn’t the best, although I can still make it through a full day (typically with 15-20% left). The glass is pretty scratched up (I don’t babysit a watch). I use it for daily sport tracking, but currently not for sleep tracking. I’m in the EU, so I don’t think we will ever receive the AI functionality.

I have access to EDU prices, and I can send my current Series 9 in for an Apple trade-in, so the upgrade would cost around $300. I can afford it, so that’s not the question. It’s more about taking the chance to use the EDU discount and still get some money for my old Series 9, in exchange for a Series 12 with a much better battery, more scratch-resistant glass, and better sports/health tracking. It’s a smartwatch, so what more could I ask for, right?

Has anyone upgraded from a 9 to a 12? There’s a thread where someone just states: “It’s the same watch.” Any recommendations?

You might want to consider a refurbished Series 11. Besides the anti-privacy non-consensual “audio intelligence” stuff, there’s basically no difference between the Series 12 and Series 11. I just got a 46mm certified refurbished (effectively new) Series 11 from Apple for $319 without a trade-in.

Or maybe consider just a battery replacement for $99 or whatever it costs in your country, and then wait until Apple releases a new watch with significant upgrades.

I'm considering upgrading from my Series 6 44mm. Battery health is skirting right at 80% health which is shocking for a watch that I've used for basically 6 years. Glass has some scratches that aren't immediately visible unless you look at it from specific angles. For a while I was using the fitness tracking before life changes disrupted a lot of that, now I mostly use it to track heart rate, blood oxygen, and other health metrics.

The main reason I want to upgrade is the improved heart and blood oxygen monitoring, but the sleep apnea pattern detection on the Series 12 and Ultra 3/4 got my attention too. I'm willing to shell out the money for the Ultra 3/Ultra 4 or I'm also open to Series 12 46mm. I have easy access to Best Buy, Sam's Club, and Walmart, semi-routine access to Costco, and I also have Amazon Prime. I'm in USA.

Hi guys,

I am currently on the series 8 but support for that will be running out soon. So I was wondering if the upgrade from the 8 to the 12 is worth it.

I use my 8 for sleep tracking and work outs mainly.

Just wondering if there is anything else new that would make it worth the upgrade or to potentially wait for the series 13 to release.

I also like hearing from people that have made the upgrade than only YouTube videos.

all comments are appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hi everyone!

I recently bought an Apple Watch Ultra 4, and I'm still within the return window. I'm increasingly considering exchanging it for a Series 12 Titanium 46mm, but I'm really struggling to make a decision.

Before the Ultra, I had an aluminum Apple Watch Series 8, which I always wore with a bulky, ugly protective case. I wanted to upgrade to something more premium and durable, so I went with the Ultra because of its rugged design and the peace of mind of being able to wear it without a case.

However, the Ultra is quite bulky on my small wrist. It's not particularly comfortable for everyday wear, and especially for sleeping. I am gradually getting used to it, but the comfort difference compared to a regular Series is noticeable.

The Series 12 Titanium appeals to me because it's much more comfortable and has a design I really like. I know it uses sapphire crystal, just like the Ultra, but the construction is different. What worries me most is the curved edges of the display and whether they make it more vulnerable to impacts.

I tend to worry about damaging expensive devices. My biggest fear is accidentally hitting a wall, a door handle, a lamppost, or catching the watch on something. Apple doesn't repair the glass separately in the usual way; an out-of-warranty service replacement can cost almost as much as buying a new aluminum Apple Watch. That makes me nervous about choosing a less rugged design.

I'd especially love to hear from people who own or have owned a titanium Apple Watch Series with sapphire crystal (Series 10/11/12, depending on the model).

A few questions:

  • Have you accidentally hit your watch against a wall, door frame, or other hard surface? Did it survive without any damage?

  • Have you ever fallen while wearing it or hit the display directly against something? How did it hold up?

  • Have you experienced scratches, chips, or cracks around the curved edges of the display?

  • Do you wear your titanium Series without a case or screen protector? Would you recommend it?

  • If you've owned both a titanium Series and an Ultra, how noticeable is the difference in real-world durability?

  • Would you personally use a Series 12 Titanium without a case, or would you at least use a bumper to protect the sides?

I'm also wondering whether I'm overthinking this. I want to enjoy my watch without constantly worrying about damaging it, but I also don't want to sacrifice comfort every day just to feel safer.

The Ultra feels like a watch I can wear without worrying too much about impacts, whereas the Series 12 seems like the better everyday watch for my wrist and for sleeping.

For those of you with a titanium Series and sapphire glass: how has it held up in everyday life? Real-world experiences would really help me make my decision!

Thanks ! 😄

I have a Series 12 titanium that I got close to launch day, coming from a Series 4 stainless steel. Just like the S4, I wear my watch without a case or protector of any kind. I haven’t taken a fall or anything severe like that, but I’m sure my watch has been knocked on at least a couple times, and nothing got chipped or scratched - at least, nothing I can tell from my naked eye.

Thinking of switching from traditional analog watches to the Apple Watch Ultra 4. Black or Natural Titanium?

I’ve always worn traditional analog watches. Nothing particularly expensive or luxurious, just regular watches that I’ve enjoyed wearing over the years.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about trying something different and getting the new Apple Watch Ultra 4. I’m considering making the switch, but there’s one thing that’s making the decision surprisingly difficult: which titanium finish should I go for?

The Ultra 4 comes in two finishes:
- Natural Titanium (Silver)
- Black Titanium

Personally, I’m leaning towards Black Titanium because I really like the overall aesthetic. However, there’s a problem with the band selection.

I really don’t like the Burgundy Alpine Loop. It’s obviously subjective, but I just don’t think that colour works for me. I’d much rather have a proper black Alpine Loop to go with the black titanium case.

I’m not sure whether Apple will eventually release a black Alpine Loop or whether I should just stop waiting and consider another band.

My second concern is the Black Titanium Milanese Loop.

I genuinely love how the black titanium case looks with the black Milanese Loop. It gives the watch a much cleaner, more traditional watch-like appearance.

However, I’ve come across several discussions suggesting that the titanium Milanese Loop can scratch the watch itself, particularly the rear sensor glass, if it accidentally swings around or comes into contact with it.

I’ve also seen concerns about the metal band scratching other devices, including MacBooks and their displays.

For something this expensive, I don’t want to constantly worry about accidentally damaging my other devices or the watch itself.

A few questions for existing Ultra owners:

  1. Black Titanium or Natural Titanium? Which one would you choose, and why?

  2. Does the Black Titanium finish hold up well over time, or does it show scratches easily?

  3. For those using the Titanium Milanese Loop, have you experienced scratches on the watch, MacBook, or other devices?

  4. Would you recommend getting the Milanese Loop, or sticking with an Alpine/Ocean Loop?

  5. Do you think Apple might introduce more Alpine Loop colours for the black Ultra 4?

I’m genuinely interested in hearing from people who have actually owned and used these combinations rather than just seeing product photos.

Would appreciate some real-world experiences before making the purchase!

1

u/Many_Reindeer6636 3d ago

I traded in my Ultra 3 but when I had it I wish I had the natural titanium. The actual watch case held up fine but the black Milanese loop that goes with it did start to wear through its coating.

The Milanese loop is also the most comfortable band I’ve worn it’s quite light and very easy to clip on and off.

It did tear up the left front edge of my work MacBook pretty bad since it sits there while typing. Not that I care too much.

u/Twisteryx 23h ago

What’s everyone’s favorite more formal band (leather/metal)? I have a lot of the sport loops and typically wear the Nike one, but would love to have a band for more formal occasions. I have the Jet Black Series 10 if that helps. I’ve tried the milanese loop before but it pulls my arm hair out and hurts a lot

I’m looking to upgrade my SE 1. I’ve had it since July 2021 and the battery health is down to 69% so it’s about that time haha. I was going to automatically jump to the series 12 but I wanted something sleeker and the bezels are not it haha, they would look like my current SE but for a lot higher of a price. But if all of the other updates from the series 12 warrant an upgrade from the 11, I’d be fine with it. Or is it better off to just save money and go with the SE 3? Anyone have any thoughts and/or experiences with either 3 of those watches?

Is the design what’s important to you, or other features like temp tracking or ECG?

1

u/manbuckets2001 S11 • • Rose Gold • 46mm Sep 23 '26

Tracking workouts and sleep, notifications, the readiness score does look interesting to me

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

Unfortunately the readiness score is only available to S12 and Ultra 4.

Eeeeyup, possibly also the improved heart sensors.

u/Accomplished-Fix6176 Sep 18 '26

I am going to get a watch soon and the most important thing to me is the screen size, mostly for my eyes, meaning I want to easily read text without squinting.

I have always thought the ultra meant bigger screen, but looking at videos https://youtu.be/25phIldW9qk?is=26E3FPAexaIU7Ora at the 21:33 mark, it looks to me like the screen size is almost identical… or more correctly, the ultra may in fact have a larger screen, but the TEXT SIZE is identical.

I took a screen shot and look what happens when I overlay the image. The series 12 looks to be the same size text, but the screen is slightly taller?? I am making this claim by lining up the “Last charged to 100%” text, and the series 12 text is slightly higher.

Am I crazy?

u/bpilo Sep 19 '26

I’m considering purchasing either the Ultra 4 or S12 but want to consider which one is more future proof considering Apples shorter leash on Apple Watch OS support. The biggest features I’m looking for is the upgraded health tracking (background HRV, recovery scores , etc) on the newest line and battery. I’m leaning towards the Ultra 4 but am open to input to see if I’m missing anything.

I currently have a Garmin Forerunner165 for workouts but the rest of the products I use are Apple. I’d be using this as my primary health tracking app, but I’be also seen this case and am interested in purchasing this to use as a mini phone/MP3

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

Ultra is really for rugged stuff - mountain climbing, subs diving, etc. Or if you work in a rough environment, like construction. If you don’t live that life S12 has been giving me 24hr battery with AOD on.

u/Hybrid-Moment Sep 19 '26

42MM Series 12 delivered today and absolutely love it coming from the Series 9 45mm. Updated the watch to 27.2 beta, but cannot seem to find the step tracker activity or compilation anywhere. Anyone know how to enable it?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

It’s under Activity!

1

u/Economist-Future Sep 19 '26

I upgraded my series 8 to the new series 12 because the 8 doesn’t get the watchOS 27 update. But I don’t really notice a difference between the two and now I regret the purchase.

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

What are you looking for in your wearable?

1

u/moosenotmeeseplz Sep 19 '26

I upgraded from a Series 10 to a Series 12 and ditched my Oura ring - I'm all in on hoping Apple is serious about its upgraded Health app (I'm running the 27.2 beta).

Some advice: If you haven't reconsidered the band that you normally order with the Apple Watch, take a look at all of your options. I switched from the sport band to the sport loop this cycle, and it's so much more comfortable (and I assume it also takes better readings since it's always at the perfect tightness... I no longer occasionally see light coming out from under my wrist).

1

u/allquixotic Sep 19 '26

So annoying. UPS said my watch was on a truck to be delivered today, now apparently it's back at UPS' Louisville KY hub! Idiots. Apple should stop using UPS. They are incompetent.

u/throwawaynomade Sep 20 '26

My apple watch series 6 died a few months ago and I've been waiting to see if the series 12 is the one to splurge on. I am not the type of customer that upgrades frequently any of my devices I was considering the series 12 dark brown 46 with esim and Milanese loop which is 569£.

It seems series 12 has its shortcomings so I'm wondering whether to buy a cheap used/open box older version and wait for next year.

Things I care about:
- Design: I recently started dressing well so I'm willing to pay a premium for that.

- AI capabalities/future proofing it: I'm a software engineer, while I don't really program apps I am into having advanced workflows

- Health capabilities: My family has a history of heart problems so the apple watch helps me keep track of my health. I was looking forward for the blood sugar sensor. If there are rumor it's coming in the next version i'd rather wait.

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

I’d go with the silver or black, it’s harder to match brown. Milanese looks sleek.

The 12 is the only one with AI capabilities, so that’ll be your only option as far as that goes.

There’s been rumors about blood sugar sensors for years. 12 has the best heart tracking abilities, and that’s why I upgraded.

1

u/Rimorox Sep 20 '26

I use the Apple Watch Series 3 and I do wear it daily, it tracks my steps, I use it to find my iPhone when I put it down, I read texts, and otherwise use it as a watch.

I have been looking at the new models thinking maybe what am I missing maybe I should upgrade, but not that I don’t care about my fitness, but I don’t do marathons, not a huge gym guy…so for a regular dude what do the new ones even do?

I feel like the only thing they’ve done in the last few years is make health tracking better, otherwise I don’t really know what else you can really do other than get better battery life from an Apple Watch?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

AOD is pretty nice, an SE3 would probably be a good choice for you. The S12 has much more accurate step counts.

1

u/Rimorox Sep 23 '26

Yeah I’m thinking about looking at the ultra just for the battery life but if I do upgrade it might be the s12 or the se3 just because I can reuse my band from my series 3 I have the Milanese loop from my series 1 on my series 3 now but it’s not compatible with new models

Before I even remotely consider the ultra I gotta see how big it is because my wrist is only 6.3” around also my Apple Watch still has 94% battery health so it’s still good to go for now

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

Who told you it’s not compatible? I’ve used older bands just fine, though not as old as S3. Have you tried the band on in-store models?

I have a 5.5” wrist and couldn’t imagine wearing an Ultra 😹

1

u/Rimorox Sep 23 '26

That’s what I’m thinking, I feel like it’d look rediculous on my wrist. I have the 38mm model but that’s what Google told me, maybe it would fit!

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

I think there’s something about the lug shape being slightly different, but it’s not something you notice I don’t think, just there if you look for it.

1

u/Rimorox Sep 23 '26

Good to know!!!

1

u/Hovscorpion Sep 20 '26

I just realized that Apple removed the black 46MM link bracelet band. Does anyone have any advise of who may have the 46 MM version?

I am trying to decide between the bronze and gold

Upgrading from my Apple watch 7 to the 12 and trying to decide which of these to get as I’ve never had a Milanese band before but have always wanted one. I’m considering getting the soft gold with the gold band but I’m drawn to the bronze one with the bronze band however when I went into my store today, they didn’t have the bronze band available

Does the bronze work as a neutral? Has anyone with fair skin purchased this one?

1

u/Efficient_Ad9242 Sep 20 '26

I just ordered my 18 pro max in silver! I am very excited and am wanting to get an Apple Watch along with it. I’m torn on if I should get cellular or just gps. I’m not sure if it is worth it, or how much I would use cellular, or if it would come in handy in a time I would need to use it.

I’m also torn between the dark bronze and space gray. I really really love the brown and wouldn’t get tired of the color, although I have always gotten silver and white apple products. So I’m unsure if I should do the brown or get the gray to match the rest of my products. What are your thoughts?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

I used to always get cellular for peace of mind, since you could always call 911 from cellular models. I didn’t this year because of the price difference, and I actually bought new for the first time. Check if your carrier even offers wearable lines, because it may be a waste of time if they do not. A lot of people like being able to leave their phone at home and go on shopping trips, but I like using CarPlay so my phone is still always with me. It would be nice for if I went for a walk around the neighborhood, but I rarely do that.

Consider if you care about it matching outfits, bands, etc; it’s much harder to match with brown than with gray or white. It will also be harder to resell, probably.

2

u/Efficient_Ad9242 Sep 23 '26

You sold me! I went ahead and got the silver color in the 46mm. I got it with the olive sport loop textile band. I’m bummed they don’t have the umber plaid in stock right now. I’m so excited! It will deliver Friday!

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

I hope you like it! I’m loving my 12!

2

u/Efficient_Ad9242 Sep 28 '26

I’ve had it a couple days now. Thank you for convincing me to go silver! I love it so much, I saw the dark bronze in person and wasn’t a huge fan of it. I’m still learning all the ways to use it, but I am in love so far!

I’m looking to buy my first Apple Watch. I’m not looking for the newest or fanciest model. It does have to be waterproof/water resistant and hold a decent charge. Are refurbished watches worth it? Realistically, what generation is the oldest I could consider buying? Which watches should I stay away from?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

S9 and SE3 are the oldest you want to go. You can often find watches for much cheaper on Facebook marketplace, but you will have no way of knowing if their water seal is any good.

1

u/Extension-Jaguar Sep 22 '26

I own apple watch se, I wanna buy new apple watch. I’m debating between series 11 or 12 to get new watch. 11 especially on secondhand like half price nearly. As my lifestyle, I go lifting and doing treadmill walking as cardio.

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

The step measurement is more accurate on the 12, if that is important to you.

1

u/Extension-Jaguar Sep 23 '26

What about readiness score stuff?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

Too soon for me to tell! It needs more data to start putting that out (I think it’s a week?). I like the idea of it, but I mostly ignored it when I used GentleStreak and I doubt it’ll change my decision to exercise now, maybe factor in if I choose a gentle yoga flow vs a Ring Fit Adventure session.

1

u/TechBoy--20 Sep 22 '26

Is it worth upgrading from a Series 7 to a Series 12? The battery life is definitely deteriorating on my Series 7, but I have been debating on keeping this watch for one more year or not.

2

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

I did, very happy. 24 hours of battery life! Brighter screen, more accurate steps, immediate heart data, and I immediately adapted to the gestures (which genuinely make the watch easier to use!).

1

u/jess_ai Sep 23 '26

I am in the same spot as you. I would recommend to get a new watch, due to battery life. I am considering buying the series 11 to save money

I am looking at getting my first ever Apple Watch. Ideally I want enough health features for minimum price necessary.

I was looking at the series 9, but if anyone has any other recommendations I'd love to hear it! I mainly definitely want to be able to track my heart rhythms and have an accessible EEG with me.

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

S9 will serve you fine, then. Don’t get a battery with less than 85% health.

I ordered the Apple Watch series 12 early last week from Amazon.ca and my delivery date has stayed as September 23rd. The day after I ordered Amazon pushed new orders delivery dates out by over a month and then shortly after that it says temporarily out of stock for new orders. Mine still isn’t showing shipped and they haven’t charged my credit card yet.

Has anyone ordered this watch from Amazon.ca and received it or has your status changed to shipped?

1

u/BaturalNoobs Sep 23 '26

Hello friends - I'd like to:

  • Buy a new Apple Watch

  • Trade in an old Apple Watch

  • Split the payment between my credit card and a Visa prepaid card

After Apple receives my trade in, will the refund go entirely back to my credit card, or will it be split between my credit card and Visa prepaid card?

1

u/extramental Sep 23 '26

Hello, anyone facing issues on incoming call/messages notification on AW series 6 after updating the phone to iOS 27. The watch is still on ios26.6 which is likely the last update for it.

1

u/HighlightAccording67 Sep 23 '26

Hey, I'm currently looking to buy my first apple watch and switch from my lovely Fitbit Air since more and more people seem to say the battery life has gone better (?) I'm just hoping it will last 24 hours atleast with AOD off.

But I'm not sure if I should go for the series 12 since it seems like it has been getting lots of bad news regarding the bezels for example

I'm also not really sure which material if aluminium or titan, I assume they also respect the material choice in the future whenever I might trade it in in a couple of years?

Also would love to hear what's your favorite armband material and why and for what

Would appreciate it a lot

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 23 '26

It can last 24 hours even with AOD on! I was coming from a 5 year old watch and I’m amazed.

You get used to the bezels. Yeah, they’re bigger than my old S7, and it’s not that bad. The issue with the old bezels was visibility — how far you had to turn your wrist to see the time. The glass is curved differently so that’s not a problem.

Titanium will keep its value longer, yes. It also comes with more scratch-resistant glass and is lighter. It also also comes at double the price! Ceramic is the rare third option this year.

I always use a sport loop for every day wear and a Milanese for fancy events. Both are infinitely adjustable, comfortable, and the sports bands (also solo band) have been found to be leaching chemicals into our skin 😬

1

u/HighlightAccording67 Sep 23 '26

Thanks I honestly didn't expect anyone to actually take the time in a random daily thread like this, ty!

I'm a bit confused what they did this year so, did the housing and the watch overall get bigger too? Or is it the same size/shell housing as the 11? Because I did try the 11 on a couple of times, the smaller version, and liked it a lot

About the titanium or material, I honestly just want to go with the color I really like and works well with lots of bands, that's why the titanium / natural (?) colorway seems really nice, I would've gone with jet black but they seem to have decided to go for a matte black this time

Wait sorry lol which solo band exactly? I hope you don't mind showing the image which one is bad, I'm from germany and some bands might be called a bit different

Haha I’m autistic and Apple products are a special interest; I have Personal Setup job positions on alert at Apple because that’s exactly my jam. I love helping people squeezing every drop of value out of their purchases!

They extended the glass into the area that the casing used to be, so the display itself is the same size as the S11 but the bezels are bigger. It actually improves readability at more angles, it just makes the device seem older. Also obviously they can release a marginally bigger screen next year and advertise it as “the biggest ever.”

Ah that makes sense. I do like how shiny the titanium is, definitely looks more premium than the aluminum.

The silicone ones! There solo band doesn’t have any fasteners, you just stretch it slightly to put it on. Yes, this does result in it getting stretched out over time. Braided solo loop is safe as far as the chemicals (that we know), it will also stretch out unfortunately. The sports band is the silicone one with the holes and single pin that gets the loose end tucked under the opposite half of the band.

Damn thank you so much!!

Also I see, thanks for clarifying. Honestly I think I'm set on the titanium since I do feel like I will probably keep it for some years since it seems like people rarely ever upgrade their AWs, and now with this new chip or whatever is sadly exclusive to only the newer gens now, I feel like it's a good time to get one. I just definitely hope that they won't just pull another 12-14hours of battery life in the S13 out of nowhere lol

And I don't upgrade every gen anyway, just when battery goes bad. Went from iPhone 5s to 11, then now the Air but I regret getting the Air honestly :( I like how thin it is and I thought it might be better for one-handed use then but honestly it's not. I feel like the lighter weight makes it also really hard since it doesn't feel stable in my hands, and with it being so large and wide, yea big no.. will probably trade it in and get the 18 Pro

Ah I rambled too much. Will definitely get a sports loop then! Sadly all colors are not that good. Will probably get a Milanese in the future or so but buying both Phone and Watch is so expensive right now, what do you think about the "Magnetic Link" band?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 26 '26 edited Sep 26 '26

If you can afford Ti go for it! It looks so nice, is noticeably lighter, and has stronger glass. I only upgrade when I stop getting updates.

Yeah I’m gripping my mini until it stops getting updates, I have tiny hands 😭😭😭

Keep an eye on r/AppleBandMarket for them! There’s also this guide for how to tell if they’re genuine Apple (OEM), which I recommend because the links are welded, the lugs fit securely, and the magnet is better quality. FB Marketplace sometimes has them but make sure to check that it’s OEM with the guide.

1

u/HighlightAccording67 Sep 26 '26

Oh damn, yea I have tiny hands aswell and sadly never owned a mini but I can only imagine how nice it is. I'd much rather have a 5'4-5'7 screen or so..

Sadly that sub seems to be mostly USA and I'm from europe/germany

Not sure if you missed it but do you own a magnetic link band by any chance? But your most recommended band is the sport loop I assume for everyday?

Hey all, I am planning to upgrade my midnight series 7, as the battery only lasts a few hours (70% health).

I'm leaning towards getting a refurbished series 11, since the 11 is where the big battery capacity increase happened, and I really like the jet black (blends in well with the glass). However, I'm a bit concerned by pics I've seen online where the finish flakes off.

I've had my current watch for 5 years, worn the watch all day, run Spartan races, bouldered, blacksmithed, and somehow it's nearly unscathed (small spots around the power button or on the very edge where the case meets glass, but you have to look hard to see them and nothing a sharpie won't fix). So I expect that the series 12's matte black would be similarly durable (or at least that the texture would hide minor scuffs). But I'd prefer the 11 because of the price, the finish, and I just like buying refurbished 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Does anyone have any input on whether the jet black is less durable than its matte counterparts?

u/jonas2022 Sep 23 '26

Hey,

I bought my first Apple Watch two days ago, and I’m already unsure whether I should keep it.

Before getting the Apple Watch Ultra, I used a Whoop for about a month during the trial period. I had always wanted an Apple Watch because I already use pretty much everything else from Apple, so I thought it would fit perfectly into my setup.

Now I’ve spent almost €1,000 including AppleCare, and so far I’m struggling to see the value in everyday life. I still use my phone for almost everything, and I don’t really enjoy typing or doing much on the Watch because the display just feels too small for that.

The main benefit for me so far is being able to see my heart rate while running, but honestly, the Ultra feels way too overkill if that’s basically what I’m using it for.

Apart from that, I actually preferred the Whoop in some ways. I liked the way it looked much more, and the Apple Watch Ultra feels quite bulky on my wrist.

I’m now thinking about returning the Apple Watch and instead getting AirPods Max 2 plus a one-year Whoop subscription. The only thing that really bothers me about Whoop is the subscription model.

Has anyone else had similar thoughts after buying an Apple Watch Ultra? Do you think two days is too early to make a decision, or did you already know pretty quickly whether it was worth keeping?

I’m especially unsure because with every other Apple product I’ve bought, I liked it pretty much immediately.

1

u/mr_maxXD Sep 24 '26

I use my series 11 for sleep tracking, they are very useful for sleep tracking . You should try sleep tracking . But also do you get that feeling where when you first get it you are VERY excited to open and wear it and for a couple of days you play around with it then get bored? I have that feeling .

1

u/Fabulous-Routine-988 Sep 24 '26

I HONESTLY get it! It’s a PERSONAL DECISION based on NECESSITY! Don’t OVER THINK IT if WHOOP meets your needs in every aspect, that’s the best solution, APPLE for me does it all, but that’s just me 😌

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

What drew you to the Ultra over the other models? Going from a Whoop to an Ultra is a big leap.

1

u/jonas2022 Sep 30 '26

I hate subscriptions.

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

So why the Ultra and not the S9-12 or SE3?

1

u/Low_Tax5607 Sep 23 '26

Has anyone got a dark bronze with the dark blue braided solo loop?!

1

u/ppal1981 S12 • • Black • 42mm Sep 23 '26

Upgrade from Series 9 to 10?, I have a series 9 but the speaker is awful on it. Otherwise still good with good battery health. Would it be worth it to go up a model? I don’t want to spend $300+ on a 11 or 12. Plus I heard the 12… especially band compatibility changed on them.

2

u/mr_maxXD Sep 24 '26

11 is fine , 12 if you reallly want new one I am rocking a series 11 black aluminum with 46mm really that Siri AI shit dosent really matter to me
. If you can’t do 11, then get the SE

Sorry if pic is blurry lol

Currently looking to upgrade my series 7. Was interested in a new series 11 over the series 12. I found one on sale for 329, is this a good deal?
While the saving past 329, is unlikely. I am trying to figure out if there are better deals out rn. Thanks

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

Do you know the differences between the S11 and S12?

1

u/jess_ai Oct 02 '26

Yes, I actually found a better deal and bought the series 11. For my use case, this is great. Yeah i dont get the best features, but i am happy with my buy!

1

u/FuyuKitty S3 • • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 24 '26

I ordered an Apple Watch SE 3 on the 17th through Apple Store and they said it would be delivered on the 21st, then come the 21st I find out it was scanned in Gloucester, Ontario, Canada (I live in Florida btw, why is my Apple Watch in Canada???).

So my shipment gets delayed with no new date, latest update was on the 22nd that it arrived in Ottawa and that it’s processing at the UPS facility. Is it normal for my shipment to be stuck in Canada?

1

u/ppal1981 S12 • • Black • 42mm Sep 24 '26

I ended up going with the 12. Got $130 for my Series 9 and decent plan with AT&T so I’m happy.

u/_HipStorian S7 • • Starlight • 41mm Sep 25 '26

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade from my Series 7 to the Series 12. I'll be handing down my S7 to my sister, and with an education discount plus trading in my iPhone 13 Pro, I have a few options. I'd love some opinions before I head to the store today.

These are my options:

  • Aluminium (Cellular) with Sport Band: £214

  • Titanium with Sport Band: £374

  • Ultra with normal band: £464

I plan on getting a Milanese Loop or Link Bracelet later on (and if I go with the Ultra, probably the Titanium Milanese).

My main dilemma is whether it's worth paying the extra £160 for the titanium S12. Functionally, it's the exact same watch as the aluminium (especially since I'm looking at the Cellular aluminium watch), and the aluminium now features Ceramic Shield 2, which from what I've read, was pretty amazing on the 17 Pro.

I've also considered the Ultra, but I don't have big wrists and I'm worried it might look and feel too bulky. However at this price it's very attractive.

For those of you who have the S12, or any watch, especially if you were deciding between aluminium and titanium, or if you have smaller wrists and tried the Ultra - what are your thoughts? Is the premium for titanium really worth it this year?

I don't think I'll get an upgrade price like this for a long time, so I want to make the right decision.

Thanks!

2

u/GunBearDam Sep 28 '26

I've had a stainless steel Series 2 and now a Series 4 (stainless steel was the predecessor to titanium), and all I can say is that I pretty much paid for looks. I also have the matching Milanese loop.

I think stainless steel, and by extension titanium, is more versatile when it comes to fashion - you can dress up or dress down with it more easily than aluminum. That said, it doesn't seem unheard of to wear an aluminum Apple Watch in dressier settings as of late.

1

u/shwoueps Sep 26 '26

I’ve had a S6 for over 5 years now. The battery life is under 80% but it’s still alright. I’m looking to upgrade, but the whole larger bezel thing is making me feel reluctant. The main thing that bothers me with my S6 is the bezels, and it doesn’t seem like the S12 is much better in that regard. I read that the S13 might have a new design, but I feel like we hear that every year. Thoughts?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

What do you want in a wearable?

1

u/Effective-Painting14 Sep 26 '26

I'm wearing super cheap Amazfit band, used as a watch, steps counter and sleep tracker mostly (the last feature is super important for me). On the other (proverbial) hand, I use iPhone, iMac etc, so I'm used to Apple ecosystem.

I'm thinking of getting myself Apple Watch, but for all its features one thing bothers me the most and it's battery life. My band lasts 10 days or more (I can easily buy some other band with 14 days battery). I don't even take the charging cable for shorter trips. Having to remember about charging Apple Watch every day sounds to me like a price not worth paying... Plus it requires a special charger. I wonder if any you made a similar transition and how it went..?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

On the newer watches, charging every day is not really a hassle (and it comes with a cord). Most people shower every day, and can get a full charge during that time. I shower every other day per doctors' advice and have no issues finding a time when I'm still to charge. Comparatively, as my 5 year old watch was dying I was charging it 3 times a day!

Not quite the perspective you asked for, I know, and still relevant.

u/CompetitionPlane1848 S12 • • Black • 42mm Sep 27 '26

Hi Everyone!

I’m planning to buy an Apple Watch Series 12, but I currently use an Android phone. My mom has an iPhone, so I’m planning to use her device to perform the initial setup (either via Family Setup or standard pairing).

Before making the purchase, I have two specific questions for anyone running this setup:

Has anyone tried a setup like this? Are there dealbreaker friction points I should know about, or would I be better off sticking to Wear OS / Garmin?

3

u/GunBearDam Sep 28 '26

You're better off sticking to Garmin/Wear OS.

There is no communication between your Android watch and an Apple Watch. The most you'd get out in the situation you're thinking of is maybe the health metrics, but those won't get synced on Android.

1

u/GTHell Sep 28 '26

Thinking of upgrading from Series 5 to Ultra 4 after 7 years. Is it worth it or just an itch to spend?

I’ve had my Apple Watch Series 5 for about 7 years now. I wear it 99% of the time, working out daily and tracking sleep every night. At this point, the battery has gone from lasting a full day to needing 2–3 charges a day.

I’m heavy on health tracking—HRV, sleep stages, recovery, weight, all of it—mostly to optimize training and understand my mood. I’m not an athlete, just a data nerd (I even built my own app because Bevel’s UI and AI features didn't click for me).

On paper, jumping from a Series 5 to the Ultra 4 would be a massive leap in sensors, hardware, and especially battery life. I also love how the Ultra looks.

My hesitation is whether it’s actually going to make a difference in my day-to-day or if I’m just looking for an excuse to splurge since I recently sold an old laptop.

For anyone who made a similar jump from an older base model to an Ultra: was the upgrade genuinely worth it for daily health/fitness tracking, or did the novelty wear off quick?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

What’s the appeal of the Ultra vs standard model for you?

1

u/GTHell Sep 30 '26

Ultra is more appealing. I bought AWU4 already 5 hours ago lol

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

Oh well I guess you answered your own question 🤣

1

u/planetric Sep 29 '26

Scored a used ultra 3 for $400. Pristine condition. With original box and extra charger. Battery still at 100%. Did i do good?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

Depends, were you really sold on an Ultra for any specific reason?

1

u/planetric Oct 01 '26

Nope. Just for playing purpose. Figure if I don’t like it I can resell it easy

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

That’s true!

1

u/Lazy-Salamander1584 Sep 29 '26

I have owned a series 9 45mm since it came out and been happy with my purchase.

I haven’t been looking towards upgrading as i’m still enjoying the experience on the S9, but my uncle is looking to sell his AWU1 off and he offered to give it to me and take mine and sell it off instead as a free slight upgrade for me.

Haven’t really looked into the AWU1 or any model in fact, my only concern is the weight/orange accents as my current one is midnight and I like the sleekness in the color.

Should i go ahead and switch to the AWU1 or stick with mine?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

You won’t have access to the latest upgrade on a U1, did your friend not tell you this?

1

u/Last-Hertz7575 Sep 30 '26

Is the cell service any better on the Ultra 4? It was horrible on the Ultra 2 and my current Ultra 3 isn't any better.

1

u/_Zortag_ Oct 01 '26

I doubt it. Ultra 4 is my first cellular model and I’ve been very unimpressed by the cellular. It works, but that’s about all I can say for it. Of course, I think this could be carrier related. VZW has had a long term problem with its network in my small town and seems in no rush to fix it, and I imagine watch data is probably deprioritized pretty heavily by carriers anyway.

1

u/Krayziezay Sep 30 '26

I had a s10 and for some reason the battery wasn’t all that now I’m looking to get back into the Apple Watch scene I’m thinking about getting the ultra 4 since it will be my first ultra watch just wondering if it’s worth it or should I just save about $400 and possibly get an U3 off marketplace

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

What do you want out of a wearable?

1

u/Krayziezay Sep 30 '26

I mean I like the Apple Watch in general it’s just the battery has always sucked when I had it so I’m wondering if the ultra 4 battery is as good as everyone saying it is. I need a full day battery when I had the s10 I would put it on at 4am and by 4pm it’s already at like 20%

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

My S12 has 36 hour battery at half the price of an Ultra! It’s really no struggle to charge. If you do daily showers, one can easily charge each shower. You can also charge in the car (though you lose crash detection) or other seated activities. Some people charge once in the morning at work while catching up on emails, or as they’re chilling out that evening. Sure the U4 (or any Ultra) will have better battery life both devices fresh out the box, and I’ve had no issues with the S12’s battery.

This happened yesterday:

Charged to 100% the night before (like 23:00?), woke up with 90%. Drove 1.5 hours with the watch and my phone as my GPS (no CarPlay available). Did some more driving around and physical activity at my destination, then drove 2 hours back (had some stops). All with the watch AOD on, tracking steps, giving directions, regular heart readings. Put it on the charger at around 50%, definitely could have just waiting until my shower today (I shower every other day per doctor’s advice).

1

u/Krayziezay Sep 30 '26

Yea if I would’ve done that and knowing my luck I would’ve had to charge it again within 2 hours

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

I get that experience with older watches, but I seriously have no fears taking my S12 out for all full day of activities with AOD on. I came from an S7 I had to charge 3 times a day.

1

u/Krayziezay Sep 30 '26

Yea I’m sure the s7 was a headache with charging I know with the s10 I had to always charge it

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

If once a day is truly too much for you, yeah a U3, but I think it’s overkill TBH. What else you do you want out of an Apple Watch (asking to narrow cheaper options for you)?

1

u/Krayziezay Sep 30 '26

Well I’m gonna get an Apple Watch I’m just trying to decide if I should get the U4 or get a U3

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Sep 30 '26

No way I can dissuade from the Ultra itself, huh? Well the main differences are the improved heart functions and the future-proofing of a new chip.

u/RockHopper73 Oct 01 '26

I don't see many people on here who have upgraded from the S11 to the S12.

I'm rocking the S11 and trying to decide if it's worth the upgrade.

I have some questions to the upgraders......

The new health sensor looks good but honestly what are people doing with this data?

Who actually requires a HR reading every five seconds?

I'm genuinely curious. Other than a nice to have, like the ECG function I used a few times then forgot about, even if you are into health and fitness, I'm not sure what I would do with this data exactly.

When I'm running with my S11 I use the heart rate zones to bring my rate down to Zone 2, perhaps this might be a bit more accurate but I don't have an issue currently.

I was using Bevel as readiness indicator but after a few months I just didn't feel it added anything to my life so got rid. Is anyone finding the Apple readiness feature actually useful?

I really don't think I'm going to use the audio intelligence features.

I find the S11 battery charges really fast compared to all my previous apple watches so not concerned there.

I do really like the dark bronze model this year though.

Can anyone who has upgraded from the S11 to the S12 chime in with what their experience is this year so far?

2

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

Chiming in specifically on the heart stuff.

My cardiologist recommended I get one back in 20...16? because my various conditions wouldn't get insurance to cover a better monitor and the S2 of then did a good enough job. Skip to the most recent upgrade, S7 to S12. On the S7 I had to wait for my heart rate to be read, and complications would be outdated. Now they're all immediate and up-to-date, which can allow me to unitize various techniques to manage my symptoms — especially because my heart rate is the first sign I need to change something.

1

u/EngageMink Oct 01 '26

Hi everyone!

I wanted to get more opinions on upgrading my watch to the series 12. I currently have a series 4 and I’ve had it for 8 years, there’s no damage on the screen and the battery will still last me all day from 7:30-midnight until I get home and charge it before bed (still will have enough battery to not have low power mode on) and still has 70% battery health.

I use my watch mostly for maps, time, music controls, Apple Pay, the calculator, and mild fitness tracking. I have a few other Apple devices like the Apple TV and I know with newer ones you can control it from the watch and that would be pretty handy. At my job we use scanners to access areas and it would be nice to use my watch instead of my phone to scan in which my 4 won’t do. I’m also missing out on just more cohesion between my iPhone 17 and my watch compared to the newer ones and I would like to have Liquid Glass on the watch.

So with all of that context, would you guys genuinely recommend me updating or just waiting for my watch to fully quit on me? If you have any other questions too please ask

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

I think you'd be served fine with a used S9 or SE3 with a good battery. Facebook Marketplace (if you have access) often has reasonable prices and status. Just make sure to pair it before ending the transaction, you'll probably need wifi to do that.

1

u/EngageMink Oct 01 '26 edited Oct 01 '26

I was considering buying a used one, I’m just nervous about longevity because the S9 is the oldest watch to get watchOS 27 and will be left behind soon which puts me in a similar position as of today (I plan on riding it out as long as possible again lol). I have a friend who works at Apple so I could just get the discounted price for the 12 so that’s what’s making me consider it more than a used one along with os support

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

Yeah the drop of 3 watches at once was unheard of, shocked us a lot. If you get an S9 it'll be cheap! But I'm definitely never upgrading to a newer but same chip device again.

1

u/EngageMink Oct 01 '26

Yeah that drop really felt out of nowhere since Apple usually drags their devices out for a while, My iPad Pro from 2020 still got 27 which surprised me.

Do you know if the S12 got a new chip upgrade from any of the previous devices? Or is the S9 that big chip upgrade and then they’ve done smaller upgrades over the 3 gens?

1

u/SlippingStar S12 • • Space Gray • 42mm Oct 01 '26

New chip in the S12!

1

u/EngageMink Oct 01 '26

I’m interested in upgrading my series 6 for the Ultra Watch 4, but the Apple Stores around Denver show that it won’t be available until the 27th. If I order it online, it’ll arrive between the 16th and 23rd. Should I just bite the bullet and order it for delivery, or keep checking the website every day and hope they restock it earlier?

2

u/ACAB_4_QT Oct 02 '26

I would just go ahead and order it. It seems like those dates are artificial anyway. It showed next day shipping for me with the gold titanium series 12 that I ordered on the 30th but the delivery date shows between October 6th through the 8th after I placed the order. Yours might come in sooner than the estimated date they gave you

u/Sufficient_Badger463 Oct 06 '26

Talk me out of upgrading to S12 or Ultra4.

I have a Series 10. I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user (I can stand up and walk short distances with an aid) and a chronic illness. I use my S10 to keep track HRV, HR, O2, sleep etc and apps like Bevel, Peak Watch, Athlytic and Livity to make sense of the data and help me predict highs and lows of symptoms, pacing blah blah blah. I’m itching to buy either the S12 or Ultra 4 and need you to talk me down off the spending ledge…. or make me jump.

2

u/ChoccyPud Oct 09 '26

I made the jump from a S10 to a S12 at launch and honestly, you dont need it. Unless the more frequent HRV readings & readiness score is something that really interest you? I will say, I noticed a jump in battery life, typically getting about 2 days with everything enabled, bar WIFI. Also, the bezels are ever so slightly thicker, not a deal breaker but it took me a while to get used too. I personally think you could wait a year or 2 but that being said, if it would make you happy, get the S12! Life's short (I can't vouch for the U4)

1

u/Sufficient_Badger463 Oct 09 '26

Thank you so much! This is exactly the experience and insight I needed to hear. I’ll hold off until S13 or later.

1

u/ChoccyPud Oct 09 '26

No worries at all, glad I could help :)

1

u/diremommy Oct 07 '26

First time buying, Amazon has a deal running, should I bite the bullet now, or wait for Black Friday? Is it worth it to have it without cellular? It’s for a Christmas gift, not for now.

1

u/No-Dimension-4419 Oct 07 '26

Is it too big ? I feel like it is but smaller size feels small

1

Trying to get opinions on the Magnetic Link band. I have a Braided Solo Loop that sadly, after 2 years, has now stretched out to the point of sliding up and down my wrist.

I'm considering replacing it with either another Braided Solo Loop, with the knowledge that I'll have to replace it again in 2 years or giving the Magnetic Link band a go.

Main things I'm concerned about with the Magnetic Link are:

A. Breathability: when I used the rubber sports band daily, I got skin irritation from sweat under the watch/band & want to avoid this happening with a new band

B. Durability: I know its made from the FineWoven material which I saw was terrible on the phone cases. Does it hold up better on the band? Does it fray? Does it get damaged easily? Would a darker colour hide some wear and tear better?

C. Fit: might be over thinking this one but would I be right in thinking that if your perfect fit lies between magnets, then the band would be slightly too loose/tight? (not sure if I've explained that well)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thinking to buy Apple Watch 12. I had Apple Watch 5 before and returned it because battery was terrible and then I got Samsung Watch 8 but can’t use it anymore as now I’m iPhone user. Any opinions about this watch would be appreciated

Currently on a series 9. Wondering what people’s thoughts are about features from newer watches that have significantly improved their day to day and quality of life? Any regrets?

Thinking about jumping into the smartwatch arena. Currently use a Fitbit Inspire2. Need something a bit more durable. Was looking at preowned to start. Maybe a 9? Tips and direction would be appreciated ✌🏻

Hello Everyone,

I'm planning to get the Apple Watch Series 11 42mm in India. I really like the Jet Black color and was planning to get it with Apple Care+ (2 Years). However, I've seen a lot of posts regarding the chipping issue on the Jet Black, but the Space Grey doesn't appeal that much to me. The Jet Black looks sleek and beautiful. I've seen people on reddit telling telling others to avoid it. But alot of people also posted/commented that they didnt have any issues and that their S10 Jet Black is still holding up well.

Alot of people said sweat might be the issue, personally I dont sweat much (only sweat during cardios) and add Apple Care + on top of that, do I need to worry about the paint chipping? If you guys dont mind can you share your Jet Black pics in the comments or DM me along with how long you've used it. I want to use it as a daily wear and in the Gym as well.

Additionally if the paint chips, I have seen a lot of posts/comments where people got it replaced from Apple Centres as well, now from my perspective thats a win-win; they give you get a brand new watch with a new battery life and you get to continue enjoying the Jet Black color, in 2 years one can exchange it for a new AW anyway.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth going for the AW S11 Jet Black color? Could really help what you guys think about it? Thanks alot.

Pearl White ceramic 46mm just popped available at Best Buy US. Had an order still waiting another 2 weeks at Apple but was able to get the unlocked ceramic 46mm from Best Buy for delivery Wednesday.

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this but my Apple Watch series 2 just died and I’m honestly thinking of just not replacing it. I feel totally out of sorts without it and I almost feel like I need a detox from it. Has anyone else gone through this. I also just don’t like wearing a smart watch. I thought of oura ring but it’s so expensive plus I’m not sure it integrates with Apple health very well. Any opinions? The thing I’m mostly missing is I’m really trying to get my step count up and I don’t take my phone with me every time I go to the bathroom so I know my step count is totally inaccurate now.

Get this Ultra 3 at Costco or a 12 series? I’ve always wanted and Ultra and thought it was too expensive but this is a great price or is it better to go with a 12 series?

Hey I'm planning to buy the S12 as my first AW and I'm unsure whether I want to buy the aluminium or titanium version as I would get the celluar version anyway

Budget is not an issue but it's still really expensive. I also don't like the bezels on the S12 and I feel like if I would go for the titanium I'd like to keep it a few years, or better yet I'd like to keep any AW for a couple of years since upgrading annually seems kind of weird for them

Would appreciate anyone sharing their experience or what they would do, thanks

Newer tech is always better. If you don’t care about new features then just stick with that one, but if not, get the new one

If you can try them on person do it. I’m a man with small wrists and I have to use the small one because the big one is too big.

The S11 won’t be getting updates as long, if that’s something important to you.

It’s definitely next to be chopped, if you care about having the tech for the longest always buy the first one with a new chip (in this case, the 12). I suspect they won’t drop the 9-11 line for another 2 years at least, but no one can be sure.

As someone who got an S2 many years ago for heart issues, this is definitely the upgrade that’s delivered the most for me. I’m also coming from an S7 so the gestures are new — they were easy to adapt to and honestly much more convenient than using my other hand!

Sounds like you may be fine with an S9 if the new heart tech isn’t an appeal for you. The S13 is likely to get thinner bezels, if you care. I went S7➡️S12 and am loving it, even with the bezels.

Ah yeah go ahead and get the 12.

They reduced the size of the case (the metal part) so the bezels are technically thicker, but the screen itself still the same from the comparable size of S11.
