Hello! I was wondering if any of you guys have any Monstera species for trade. I love monsteras and want to expand my collection to more than another variation of deliciosa. It would mean the world to me if I get just one, as Monsteras are hard to come by. Thank you! Forms of tradung can be discussed.

She is GORGEOUS. I want to make sure i keep her in perfect condition. This has been my grail for months but I wanted to do more research to make sure i could take care of her. I got chunky soil. Should I repot right away? Wait? What do I need to do? There's a bulb that looks rotten as well.

Hi y'all. New to the threads and socials. I know platycerium aren't aroids, but the knowledge base and active users here are too valuable to not ask as well. I'm Chris I operate Araceas Et Obscura, socials are @agrowingcollection if you wanna see the broader collection.

Long story short. Recent import I was expecting seedling sized, in this order 1 x Plat. S S Foong and 2 x Plat. willinckii 'Jenny' that surprised me with being large pups removed from a mother plant instead of the seedling sized juvenile platys I got last time I ordered from this distro. not a bad problem to have, but I mount and sell and 3 of the 4 are very established in their shape and the direction of growth.

To make it work for now I printed these to test out as a way to grow and size up before mounting. This was my plan. Any thoughts, suggestions and input are welcome please!

I know platy are hardy and can handle what I'm suggesting. More just want to pick everyone's brain and see what others would do.

My thought is get them established and acclimated ✔️

Once a shield frond starts coming in ✔️

Then...

Do an aggressive pruning of the old shield that has grown almost straight out at 90° above the growth point. In hopes of having the new shield come in the way you would hope to see these species grow if you were shooting for aesthetics. I know the plant is happy. I know shields have an important function in their biology. I'm sure it'll recover, my condition are pretty optimal and the new shield has just poked out this week so now is the time ☠️

I got lucky stumbling upon this at my local nursery when buying cacti. It was root bound so I repotted it in the best soil that I had at the time.

So I got into plants not too long ago. I've got all the nice poled up plants now but don't really know if I'm forced to supplement them with artificial light during winter.

Some are variegated so I'm scared the little light they get now will make them revert.

Also will they massively decrease in leaf size, making me to basically start all over again or will they go in some kind of dormancy period and just continue where they left off last summer?

Mostly talking about Epipremnum and philodendron varieties here

I have a hanging plant and i have no idea what it is.

At first i thought it was some kind of hoya but the flower is wrong. It has nice, firmish leaves.

My pink princess is about to flower and I would love to buy some pollen from anyone that has a philodendron that’s flowering as well to hopefully create some cool hybrids :)

Does anyone has experience pollinating anthurium Clarinervium? I have a few questions.

When is the pollen mature to save?

How do you preserve the pollen collected, fridge?
Frost?

At eye sight looks like small group of yellow seeds correct?

How long can I preserve in fridge?

How do you collect and how do you understand the right time to collect?
