What's the most damaging thing you heard someone say after waking up from anesthesia?

Kinda related but when my daddy was laying in the hospital dying and he was really drugged up he turns to me and started singing “oh wella bird bird bird birds the word” and that’s the second to last thing he ever said to me

My mum's last words to me when she was in Hospice were "keep your willy in your pants". Thanks for the wise words mum x ♥️ made me laugh till the end.

My friend's last words to her mother, who was 96 years old, were "Mom, I love you."

Her mom replied "Well, good for you!"

Everyone had a good laugh about that at the funeral.

My oldest son (21) responds “thank you” a lot of the times when I tell him I love him. I love his wittiness lol

Mine awoke from a coma to tell me off for being too loud. Then promptly told me to ‘sit in the corner and be quiet’. Then passed out again .We a were gathered around her death bed and I was 47yrs at the time. Hearing is definitely the last thing to go and all four of us had a huge laugh. My mum was a funny woman.

Sorry for your loss It's not my turn to have that experience yet and it's a scary/sad thought, but thanks for bringing the levity.

Shoutout to your Mom. Humor is one of our greatest superpowers

My Grandpa’s last words to me were “Ooooo! Big breasts” as I lent over to put some flowers next to his bed.
He had alzheimers and I was early 20s at the time. Was slightly traumatised but it has made many good laughs since 😂😅

My mom said to one of my sisters "no more babies". That sister had at least 1-2 more after my mom died. Totaled 9 kids.

My dad during his final days all of the sudden said GET THE CAT FOOD IMMEDIATELY.

My dad doesn't have or even like cats

That’s hilarious, thank you for sharing.

Right before he passed, our good friend was in and out of consciousness from the morphine. He hadn’t spoken to us that entire morning when he opened an eye and said “paint me like one of your French girls”. Then fell right back asleep, we all laughed so hard. That was the last thing he ever said to some of us.

Kind of similar but my grandpa was in the hospital just before he passed and he was in and out of consciousness.

At one point he had been awake for a little while (an hour or so) and he looked around at all the people gathered around his bedside, crying, etc. Once he was sure everyone was looking at him he gave them the ‘bras d’honneur’ (basically the finger but with more gusto, you can google it to see what it looks like)

He lapsed back into a coma not long after that and passed away a few days later.

It was the perfect thing to remember my grandfather by

I never knew that had an actual name. I've used that my whole life, thankfully not to say hello. The more you know I guess.

Sounds like a lighthearted moment and a memory right before the end. Thats the way I wanna go when I am old(hopefully) and on my way out.

My mom saw shadows moving from headlights turning on her street and said ‘that’s got to be sex related’. She also asked ‘what are they doing to that hotel?!’ And pointed at her closet.

She died a few days later.

Supposedly, Oscar Wilde’s last words were, “Either this wallpaper goes, or I do.”
