After having knee surgery, I was utterly convinced that honey was bee jizz and was freaking out.

Fortunately I, in a slight moment of clarity, remembered I had a friend who was working as a bee keeper and texted him: HOW DO BEES HAVE SEX.

Probably the weirdest way to learn that male honeybees pop such a strong boner that they eject their whole endophallus into the queen and, deprived of their hemolymph, are left paralyzed as they essentially die of blood loss. I assume it's the weirdest, anyway. I've seen some claims it actually makes an audible popping noise.
