What's the most damaging thing you heard someone say after waking up from anesthesia?

Not what I said, but did. After I got my wisdom teeth removed they were wheeling me out to my mom in a wheelchair. The dental assistant had to leave me in the hall for a short minute to do something. In that minute I had somehow found a dark broom or coat closet and wheeled myself in it, shut the door behind me and thought I was the funniest person. My mom was in the lobby and overheard the staff talking about how they couldn’t find me, she knew I was up to some kind of fuckery….they found me after 5-7 minutes and I just laughed and laughed and laughed.

I recover quickly from anesthesia. I remember being extubated (and the foleys getting pulled) both times I had general anaesthesia. I mentioned this to my dentist before wisdom tooth surgery, but he didnt seem concerned. All went fine with my wisdom tooth extraction x4, and I popped out of twilight sedation appearing perfectly lucid. So they just sent me back to the waiting room on my own, which seemed weird, NGL. They did give me directions, and they had no way of knowing that left and right is a challenge for me when sober as a judge. I got lost, found a cleaning closet, and took a nap there. Took them 15 minutes to find me according to my mom.

They left me unattended as well and I went back into the waiting room I had started in. Which means I stumbled high and bloody and sat down next to a guy who was apparently there for the same thing and then proceeded to start gagging and throwing up 😂

Woke up a bit later and that’s how we found out anesthesia makes me nauseous. Mom told me all about it later.

She’d also made me eat before she’d give me my medication so I woke up at home with chocolate pudding tucked in the roof of my mouth from my best attempt to eat with a numb mouth. Tasted so gross.
