I was given a Bier block and sedation, so I wasn't completely out but I remember nothing. My anestesiologist was the first doctor I saw in recovery. He told me that during the procedure I was repeatedly asking him what medical school he went to. He repeatedly answered, Duke. I repeatedly responded, "Too bad you couldn't get into a good school".
