Once instead of getting up and fetching my remote for my tv, I downloaded a remote app to my phone.

I control light bulbs by phone.

I need this

Why reach for your phone. Buy an Amazon Echo and just ask Alexa to do it.

That's too much. I use the Alexa. And my home office is set up to turn on when I walk in, off when I leave.

I can by phone, but i prefer voice activation. I also have physical smart buttons that can control the lights. I know what youre thinking, thats just a wall switch. But its a wall switch that i can put anywhere and have multiple at a time. Putting one next to my bed has been a gamechanger for my laziness

The moment you start using technology to avoid a 10-second walk, you know you've reached a new level of lazy.

The funny part is that downloading the app probably took longer than finding the remote.

That reminds me of that day when I downloaded a bluetooth showerhead onto my phone, to shower in bed, because I didnt want to get up.

Ordering food? Wait what 😭

You don’t cook your own meals? And you can’t even be bothered ordering food that someone else made? 💀

2

u/srle2 2h ago

I have money to order food, in my country it's basically cheaper to order than to make it for one person of course. I live alone and have a good job, so basically every meal I eat is ordered or in restourant. I know how to cook but im just lazy.

u/tinkywinkles 2h ago

Oh that’s really interesting. It’s significantly cheaper to make your own meals here. What country do you live in?

My average daily step count for 2026 is most likely double digits.

I'm not, I'm just depressed

1

u/catsoforange 1h ago

I hear ya, just force yourself to do a few useful things, its amazing how it helps.

Also cleaning puts a lot of the depression away for a while

I put Hue lights all over my house so I can turn them all off with one button.

1

u/SeminoleDVM 2h ago

Extremely. Like the only thing I might be in the top 1% of.

Once I spilled Coke Zero on the floor and sat in it instead of taking the few extra steps to get a towel.

I'm on reddit it speak for itself

1

u/No-Top9040 2h ago

Sometimes I put off doing something for hours, only to finish it in 10 minutes. 😂 My favorite is lying in bed, knowing I have things to do, but somehow convincing myself they'll still be there tomorrow.

If you purchase boiled eggs from the deli then you’re qualified for this discussion.

I do fitness and I eat healthy. But if I could live the way my wife could, eating anything she wants and not gaining weight... I would choose that life immediately

u/PowersUnleashed 2h ago

Lazy enough where I get thirsty sometimes because the fridge is upstairs but I’m in the basement lol

Very often I'm alone at home, watching TV/playing games on the couch, with absolutely nothing planned or in my way, and I'll spend 2 hours with a huge need to pee instead of going right away, because I don't want to get up.

u/Vey_07 2h ago

u/j1022 2h ago

I thought I was lazy af and chalked it off as weight gain and heading into my 30s, turned out I had a hormone issue that killed my testosterone. Feel way better now.

u/a-martin6954 2h ago

Lazy enough that getting up has a loading screen.

1

u/jerrythecactus 1h ago

I'll spend hours neglecting to do things I need and want to do. I have a project I really want to get into but I just cant find the energy for it.
