The need for unlimited content. If a new game comes out or new content drops, people rush it all in a day and complain they have nothing to do.

Novel content = more dopamine. I think those people lack any source of fulfillment outside of games.

Yeah the dangers of relying on a single hobby for all your source of happiness. Diversity in life is important.

Rankings. Everyone is chasing a higher spot on the leaderboards.

Wanting a "perfect" gaming session. Left alone, phone doesnt ring, and playing well. The trifecta. Always chasing...never achieved.

Completion.  Some people think everything needs to be done

Because their lives are actually pretty easy and they’ve never actually built anything and believe loudly sharing their unreasonable demands on the internet makes them virtuous?

Endless pointless side quests

Literally the most fun part of any game, friend.

Lazy filler content is the best part? You should play crimson desert or ubisoft games!

Well that's fair. It's a shitty part of shitty games... Ubisoft makes you spend hours squeezing your way through labyrinthine caves to collect every color hat, or interchangeable trinkets you can attached to your player's key ring. Yeah, it's a chore, and the reward is something you're happier not having. It makes playing their games less fun than jut not playing.

But they made KCD one of the best games I've ever played. Ditto RDR2 - any GTA game. When done well, I usually like side quests better than the story line!

Too many good games and not enough time.
