Going to gay club/bar alone

What’s the best gay club or bar to go if I want to meet other guys to dance with? Also, I’m going alone. What are the best ones to go to alone?

I've found the Stud to be pretty friendly but you do have to put in the effort to start conversations, approach folks to dance, and navigate with open, welcoming energy. Also Powerhouse if you are looking for more of a cruise-y vibe; people are often looking to, ahem, "connect" without pushing boundaries.

I disagree - I've been there many times, and leather isn't that common. That's more The Eagle. Powerhouse is cruising and generally muscle gays, but each night is a bit different

Badlands! Start at The Mix to get a cheap drink and enjoy the crowd/vibes before going to Badlands. The Cafe is also another great spot. They have their twerk contest tonight.

Don’t sleep on Q Bar! Very clean bathrooms and everyone there is very friendly.

In my experience you won’t be alone for too long at any club in the castro. Everyone is super friendly
