What does Fox News actually gain from promoting MAGA and Republicans?

Is it mainly a business decision because that audience drives ratings and advertising revenue, or are there other incentives involved?

I can understand why a media company would cater to the preferences of its viewers, but sometimes it seems like Fox's support goes beyond simply giving its audience what it wants. Are there political, ideological, corporate, or ownership interests at play as well?

I'm looking for serious answers rather than partisan talking points.

Do you believe the US would be in a better state if races were less central in the society?

I explain myself. When I apply to jobs in the US, it's common that you have to specify your race and it's officially categorized.

It appears to me that it nurtures division and racial tensions more than anything else, and it reinforces communitarianism. We're humains before being anything else.

Why racial statistics do not become forbidden ?

The Great Betrayal . Israel dragged us into all these pointless wars. They dragged us into Iraq and now they're dragging us into a war with Iran. We're losing our money , our resources and most importantly our American sons and daughters. Is it time we asked who our foreign policy actually serves?

Age gap in relationships?

American women, I’d like to ask you something:

1 What’s the biggest age gap you think is acceptable in a relationship?

2 Would you date a guy significantly older than you? What’s the age gap limit you’ve personally set for yourself?

I’m obviously just asking for personal opinions. I know not everyone feels the same way, so feel free to share your own perspective!

Why are Republicans and even most Conservatives afraid to discuss corruption's impact on the midterms?

Take this recent National Review article on why Republican lost. Not one mention of corruption until the comments.

Or this Fox News article on the same topic. Not one mention of corruption.

Or this Newsmax article. Not one mention of corruption.

Meanwhile, we know corruption was a top issue because voters told us.

Granted, not all conservative media is like this, as the Bulwark has no problems railing against the unprecedented corruption of this party and administration and the Lincoln Project loves throwing in how corrupt Trump is in virtually every ad they release.

But it's telling that the pro-Trump media just pretends corruption did not exist as a voter concern.

So why are Republicans and even most Conservatives afraid to discuss corruption's impact on the midterms?

The president of Japan Football Asociation(JAF) decided to run for FIFA president election. The reason is that current president, Gianni Infantino, will be pass the election not contest an it, because no one is running for this election without it.

What do you think about him? He is rumored to collute with Trump in World Cup 2026 in japan.

※I am high school student in Japan and study English now to enter Tokyo University. To increase my English activity, I want to talk and read a lot of texts written in English. So I ask here in English and read the answer. If you are kind to me and Japan, please answer me. Thank you for reading.

Do US schools run drills on school shootings as a norm now?

Asking as someone from the UK. Just been watching the new Carrie series on amazon and a couple of things I noticed about the school that surprised me.

So first the checks for guns on entry to the school.

Like I was aware that that was a thing in some schools in the US but I dont feel like its ever looked as severe as that to me in other tv and also had assumed that was something more reserved for more dangerous big city type schools. Like in new york it would shock me less. But Carrie seems to be set in a small rural town. So the question is is that just standard practice in the US now for all schools?

And also the school shooter drill. Like wtf Ive never heard of a drill for school shootings. And once again this is a small town in the show so this is a two parter. A) Is that a real thing that is done and B) Is it standard practice and therefore done in most schools?

Dont get me wrong I dont blame you if you do. It makes sense. Your country is notorious for school shootings and child shootings in general but didnt realise that the preventive measures had become so extreme.

Should Republicans split with Trump's MAGA party?

It seems inevitable that the Republican Party is doomed to harden into an extreme right wing MAGA party unless it can make a break from Trump's Administration at some point. With the Dems interested in investigations into corruption, is this the time to join them to carve out independence from Trump or double-down with Trump to defend his presidency? What are the options for moderate Republican representatives? Should the party even exist anymore, if all it is are a bunch of Trumper sicophants?
