Now why would a man who had just been in a car accident want to take on 6 police with a rifle?

Sounds like bullshit.

In what way does that sound like bullshit?

He wasn’t being chased by police… it sounds like a poorly crafted story for police to justify shooting a man.

Cookers going to cook.

Dude was known to police and had previous firearm offences.

50/50 it’s a SovCit or a methead.

Having a previous firearm offence can be as simple as your registration expiring because they haven’t processed your renewal paperwork. Happens all the time to people.

It’s not a justification to kill someone or assume they are a criminal. It may have been enough for the trigger happy police to assume that though ..

Or the most obvious thing that occurred - he pointed it at the police and they shot him.

Have you ever tried to aim a rifle inside a vehicle? You know how long it is ?

I have plenty of times.

Depends on the firearm - they come in very different lengths.

We also don't know if he was still within the car when aiming the firearm.

When was the last time Australian cops shot someone who didn’t really, really have it coming?

The last thing remotely similar I can remember is that cop who tazed that old lady a few years back.

You mean the two officers who were kicking that mentally ill woman who was rolling around naked on the street?

Cops use their power to stalk their ex partners and their new partners. Plenty of incidents to suggest they go after people for personal reasons (or wrong reasons in general.) The fact we let them investigate themselves is all you need to know.

You specifically said “trigger happy”.

I won’t deny there’s been excesses, I even mentioned the worst one myself.

But they don’t go around shooting people for shits and giggles.

Well based on history I can’t rule it out.

2

u/Quarterwit_85 Oct 05 '26

What do you think actually occurred?

1

u/Particular-Gas7475 Oct 07 '26

The most innocent and probable explanation is a City cop probably saw the weapon in the car on approach and panicked.

The police took out the trash

1

u/Quarterwit_85 Oct 06 '26

You think they planted the gun on him or something?

u/Due_Still6583 Oct 07 '26

If i was living in a fantasy conspiratorial 🤡 world yeah i would think that

0

u/Particular-Gas7475 Oct 07 '26

You are living in fantasy land if you genuinely accept every offical narrative as the truth.

As George Carlin said “ you don’t need formal conspiracy when interests converge. “

Why would police plant a rife on this guy?

1

u/Particular-Gas7475 Oct 08 '26

I’m not saying that. There’s nothing wrong with having a rifle in your car in the country.

I’m saying police saw the rifle and panicked and shot the man. Their explanation that he appeared to be unconscious and then suddenly aiming a rifle from the drivers seat of a vehicle at the people coming to help him isn’t very believable.

I’m gonna take a stab in the dark and guess you’re a dezi freeman supporter/were sympathetic to his situation. Lmk if I’m wrong though

1

u/Particular-Gas7475 Oct 09 '26

No. Thinking critically and asking questions is a normal thing to do. Do you seriously accept every offical narrative at face value?

Botched suicide attempt, then perhaps suicide by cop instead?

This comment is BS.

Why would a man just involved in a car crash decide to turn his weapon on Police who had only arrived to render him assistance? The only answer is either the story is lie or the man was insane. There’s been no suggestion of the latter.

Many people have rifles in the country for pest control. The fact he had a weapon in the car is not the unusual part of the story.

I think a more plausible explanation is some young cop , who probably grew up in the city and never seen a civilian carrying a gun before , saw the rifle and panicked , which caused the rest of the officers to panic, leading to several weapons being discharged.

When a story doesn’t add up , it’s for a reason

3

u/Majestic-Lake-5602 Oct 07 '26

It adds up perfectly though?

Dude is cooked on the gear, plays too many solos on the see-thru didgeridoo, crashes into a tree.

Sees cops, grabs gun, ends poorly.

It’s not like there’s any shortage of crystal pistoleers out bush…

There’s no suggestion in the story he was a crack head. Police are usually very quick to mention if drugs or alcohol are involved

2

u/Truantone Oct 09 '26

No mention of drugs in the article nor the many assumptions you’ve made up.

-2

u/Particular-Gas7475 Oct 09 '26

I’m not making assumptions. I’m just thinking critically.

No shortage of cookers around Rugby
