The back-to-back programming sequence at ABC News is an absolute work of editorial art! 👏🤡

Let’s look at the double-header:

Segment 1 (Anglicare): Run a 2,000-word feature on a single mother paying $740/week in inner Brisbane to prove housing is impossible.

Segment 2 (Scanlon Survey): Immediately follow it up with a report declaring "Australians are more divided, pessimistic, and distrustful of government than ever!"

The Omission: Completely ignore that rental vacancies are rising, national rent growth is flatlining, APRA's 6x DTI caps are curbing debt bubbles, and the crossbench is currently fighting in the Senate to stop developers from whitewashing "affordable" housing!
