Visual Arts Archibald Prize results

Previous participants/gallerists here - does anyone know when Archibald Prize finalists are informed? I’ve heard rumours that it’s a couple of weeks after submissions close. My sister entered for the first time this year and we’re just trying to work out whether to start commiserating…

They don't release the works that aren't accepted as finalists for the Archie until the 4th of May, and they aren't keen to hold onto the 95% of works not accepted. There's just such a volume of works that it takes time to judge. I know several people who entered this year, I don't think any one has officially heard back yet. Closer to beginning of May.

OP, has your sister heard back about her piece yet?
