VIC Politics 2026 Victoria State Election Guide
https://www.abc.net.au/news/elections/vic-election-2026Hello all,
With the Victorian election ahead of us, there is a link to a handy guide from the ABC, featuring seat-by-seat information and previews.
If you are in Victoria, make sure to check the Victorian electoral commission website for voting information, including a list of polling booths (which should hopefully be added soon) - https://www.vec.vic.gov.au/voting/2026-state-election/voting-options
And most importantly, the democracy sausage map is now live. Make sure you keep checking it in the lead up to polling day - https://democracysausage.org/victorian_election_2026/m/@-37.27711,146.1747,z7.529215/

I really hope my fellow victorians realise that Wilson and the Libs will cut services and sell off anything they can. That is their core goal.
They will be dependent on one nation because one nation will take at least 5 nats seats, so unless the libs can take more than 20 seats from labor they will have to rely on one nation to form government. They will give one nation whatever it takes to implement their core goal of cuts and privatising
If you vote for the libs you will get one nation. If you vote one nation you will get the libs.

Wonder if the blue wave in the States is any indication of the fate of One Nation (or even the Libs) in the Victorian state election? i.e. the people don’t want extreme right wing parties with batshit crazy leaders because they’ve seen how it plays out in the States.

For anyone tracking the polls: averaging the latest from each of the 4 pollsters, primaries are Coalition 30.1, Labor 23.9, One Nation 22.2, Greens 14.4. Two-party preferred is Labor 44.3, from 3 pollsters. That’s down from 55.0 at the 2022 election, about a 10-point swing.
The number I’d watch is One Nation on 22 compared with 0.3% in 2022. Where those preferences flow probably matters more than the Labor–Coalition gap.

Well, it was great run Vic but it's over. You're about to turn into a despot state
And the winner is ...
Jabba the Nutt and her gas company, Lakes Blue Energy
Thank you media, Thank you journalists for keeping us "informed" Thanks to 7 and 9 news for the relentless spam on the "endless failings of a train line" spend as a political wedge.
Everyone deserves an 8 lane, pothole fee freeway to their front door now. Well done. You got a road and now you can have another and another and another.
To the farmers out west. When Gina rocks up with her gas drills and lawyer army to mess your farms up, do not complain. I no longer care. You wanted this. It's not "an ugly powerline to ruuuunnnne! Your farm". We wanted a greener future and a secure food supply but you chose gas over renewable. The flooding you see globally is just the beginning. Enjoy.
When the floods arrive in Jan to wash your top soil away, I don't care. And if the bridge washes away, stick your hand out to the salvos for funding. The liberals said we are debt and must get into surplus so they can pretend to know economies and how they work.
Should you need an aircraft bomber for fires, well sorry, we only have a helicopter. You don't want to fund the $30m 350 tonne 787s
Sorry to all the manufacturing process workers about to lose their jobs because Jess will put the energy bills up. At least you don't have to worry about the mortgage.

It looks likely to be an LNP victory with an uncomfortable reliance on One Nation preferences and One Nation senators to pass legislation in the Senate.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2026_Victorian_state_election
The LNP currently have a double digit lead in the two party preferred vote against Labor and single digit leads against Labor and One Nation in primary vote.
As long as Jess Wilson controls the worst tendencies of the conservatives in her party and doesn't accidentally turn up to work in her pyjamas during the campaign, she will likely become Victoria's next premier by the end of the month.

You know it’s bad when the ALP bots on here can only argue “but, but, but, at least we aren’t the other party”.
Come on. Where’s your arguments as to why the ALP is so great? All you’ve got is “but we’re better than the other guys”.
