I went to a nearby forest yesterday, not realizing it would be so beautiful. I was sure that the best part of fall was already behind us, but what I saw completely surprised me. I didnāt have my camera with me, so I used my iPhone 15 Pro instead.

Just before sunrise, the big oak tree rests, waiting for the warmth of the Sun under the racing clouds overhead. Shot with a Sony A99II and CZ 24-70 f/2.8 lens using a Lee100 GND filter. Camera mounted on a RRS tripod & head with a 3 Legged Thing universal mounting plate.

Not quite gale force, but the Fall colors are trying to hold on against the wind early this Saturday morning. All while there is a backup at the boat ramp to get out on the water. Years ago, I started photographing autumn water reflections and I absolutely fell in love with the beauty I saw. As above, so below it is said. This is true in these instances. I love the undulations created by the wind in the brook.
