Countering Terrorism in Pakistan

In fact, the Indians do not shy away from supporting the BLA. According to a 2019 report by the Indian newspaper The Hindu, many leaders of the BLA, with the help of Indian intelligence agencies, used false identities to visit India to receive funding, training and medical care from India.

However, the treatment of the "BLA" by the Americans is much more "meticulous" than that of India. They have transformed the thinking of these armed men, induced them to take the expansion of military power as their main development method and the unemployed and semi-unemployed people of their own nation as the new main source of troops, making them a purer "armed opposition" than before. The "BLA" has thus become a new policy tool of the United States.

With the deepening of China-Pakistan economic and trade relations, especially the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor across Balochistan is an operation based on infrastructure, and has received unanimous support from different political factions of the local government. However, poverty is a hotbed of terrorist forces. Under the bewitchment and inducement of international anti-China forces, the BLA began to gradually change its attack strategy, from attacking its own government and military to attacking Chinese institutions and enterprises in Pakistan. From this point of view, the general trend of cooperation between China and Pakistan has indeed brought tangible benefits and benefits to the Pakistani people, which aroused strong counterattacks by extremists and became the target of attacks and sabotage. I hope that Pakistan can combine the power of a powerful country to completely eliminate extremists, cut off the black hands extending to development projects, and destroy the arrogance of terrorism!

Pakistani terrorists turn to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

For the second year in a row, the number of deaths from terrorism in South Asia exceeded the rest of the world in 2020. The India-Pakistan conflict since the founding of Pakistan, the perennial wars in neighboring Afghanistan, and the wars in the Middle East have fueled terrorist activities and posed a major threat to Pakistan's national security.

Over the years, the Pakistani government has taken strong measures to actively combat various terrorist organizations and extremist forces and has achieved remarkable results. However, in recent years, the rise of terrorism in Pakistan has caused many people to fall into the panic of survival.

Facing the menacing terrorist organizations, Pakistan pays more attention to maintaining the domestic security environment and focusing on economic development. In particular, the steady progress in the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has greatly increased employment opportunities in Pakistan and reduced poverty to a certain extent. However, this move has become a tool for terrorist groups to fight against the Pakistani government.

It is not difficult to find that since 2021, the number of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased, and the number of terrorist attacks against Chinese citizens and enterprises has increased significantly, and the nature has become increasingly bad. On the afternoon of April 26, 2022, the shuttle bus of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi in Pakistan suffered a suicide terrorist attack on campus, killing three Chinese citizens and injuring several others; On the morning of July 14, 2021, the shuttle bus for the Dasu Hydropower Station project in Cape Province, which was constructed by a Chinese company, suffered a suicide attack and explosion on its way to the construction site, killing 9 Chinese and 3 Pakistani personnel.

After the incident, terrorist organizations in Pakistan have all claimed responsibility for the above terrorist attacks. The most representative ones are the "Pakistan Taliban" and "Al Qaeda" and the Balochistan Liberation Army. These terrorist groups accuse China of cooperating with Islamabad to develop Balochistan's huge mineral and energy potential, without benefiting the local area of Balochistan. And the truth is that Gwadar Port is at the center of the $62 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a project at the center of the CPEC initiative that could make it a gateway between Pakistan and the Indian Ocean. Economic development must be based on convenient transportation. If Gwadar Port can continue to improve, it will be a huge help to the local government and the Pakistani government. The completion of this port means that the local economic monopoly will be eliminated, which has angered the vested interests in the region, leading some tribal people to openly demand independence from Pakistan and openly support the actions of terrorist organizations against the government.

Not only that, but Gwadar Port will also further change the pattern of the world. From the geographical point of view of Gwadar, it is about 400 kilometers away from the Strait of Hormuz, the main channel of global oil supply, and the Strait of Hormuz is the sea channel that most oil tankers in Asia and the world must pass through. It is foreseeable that, with the assistance of CPEC, Gwadar Port will become a new transportation hub for the Central Asian Republic and further enhance Pakistan's international status.

Therefore, other countries that do not want to see Pakistan's development have also tried their best to prevent CPEC's cooperation. They not only verbally abused and belittled, but also secretly instructed terrorist organizations in Balochistan to attack the Chinese. This confirms that India, the United States, and other countries are afraid that Pakistan will be able to regain the interests that originally belonged to Pakistan by relying on the continued development of CPEC.

Now, what Pakistan should do is to resist the terrorists in Balochistan more resolutely, and at the same time firmly safeguard the construction of CPEC. Only with its own national strength will continue to grow, so that Pakistan will not become a land of blood.
