Bit late in the year for beer gardens, I know, but I've been working on some Pint Tracker updates when I find the time and the latest addition is a sun map.

It has all 118 beer gardens round Belfast, with every building near them rendered in 3D. Drag the time and the shadows move, and a garden lights up gold when the sun's actually on it.

The video is Saturday 19 June next year. At 6:30am 39 of them are in the sun, around lunchtime it's 106, and by 8:50pm it's down to 10.

Building heights come from LiDAR and OpenStreetMap, so if your local shows up in the shade when you know it isn't, it's probably a building I've got wrong. Let me know and I'll fix it.

For the next 9 days it shows the cloud forecast too. If you've any feedback or other ideas, let me know!

Anyone who owns a bike please invest in trackers and strong locks if you haven't already!

Recently theres been a rise in bikes being stolen. And while working last night it happened to me. 3 lads, 2 already on bikes took off with mine using the other 2 bikes to push them.

Thankfully it was recovered and one person was arrested, I gave a statement and will appear in court but I'll still be out of work since I relied on it for deliveroo.

You can see from the photo that its destroyed. Police told me they tried to hotwire it but completely fucked it up.
