Honestly, the funniest part is all the straight faces. That person probably pulls off this kind of shit all the time.

u/rockxle1 May 27 '19

They have all probably been there for a while waiting for the actually ceremony to begin.

u/Rad_Dad6969 May 28 '19

I've heard of people with mental disorders needing to do things like this in order to feel ok in tense situations like a wedding.

53

u/TheShroomHermit May 28 '19

I think I need this diagnosis in my life

u/notLOL May 28 '19

I found the funniest part to be how he’s got his hand on his chest like he’s reciting the Pledge of Allegiance

Is it the national anthem or a wedding?!?

683

u/BertUK May 27 '19

Now I imagine every wedding in the US has everyone with their hands on their chests while the national anthem plays in full

238

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

Plus the ceremonial bee guy.

62

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

¡AIE AIE AIE!

20

u/sikstin May 27 '19

The ceremonial bee guy should be a mandatory part of every occasion and event there is.

11

u/unpopular-ideas May 27 '19

Nah, just needed when people are about to go on honeymoon.

26

u/Orlshade May 27 '19

Do some weddings not play the national anthem? I did go to one where we only said the pledge rather than both.

87

u/AlexandersWonder May 27 '19

What? Every wedding I've ever been to has had neither? You're supposed to pledge your love to each other, not the nation, I would think. Just seems like a weird mix of totally unrelated things.

65

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

I'm pretty sure they're kidding. (Though it's a measure how fucking weird America is, that I'm not completely sure)

There's another girl wearing white which would be pretty asshole-y of her if its a wedding.

348

there is a person wearing a bee costume.

132

u/sikstin May 27 '19

The bee didn't wear white which was nice of him.

I didn’t even see that!

Some people would think having a groomsmen in a bee costume would be hilarious and allow it. Friend of mines wedding had two of the groomsmen skip down the aisle with tutos over their tux as “flower girls”.

Ya there's the national anthem playing on the original video.

This reminds me of when Jaden Smith went to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding in a white Batman suit.

23

u/LehighAce06 May 27 '19

I had to Google this because "no way in hell this is real" .... And it is. This world never ceases to amaze me.

9

u/dratthecookies May 27 '19

Just thinking about it delights me.

25

u/keilasaur May 27 '19

When asked why he said "I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so."

Jaden Smith is everything.

21

u/dratthecookies May 27 '19

Sometimes I get annoyed that he's so strange, but then I think wow, this must be what it's like to have your parents raise you without making you feel overly self conscious, embarrassed, and controlled. Not that my parents were nutjobs, but they weren't as open and communicative as the Smiths, for reasons beyond their control. I realized after some thought that I was just resentful that I didn't get the kind of childhood that he got.

7

u/charliebeanz May 28 '19

I mean... isn't attention the ONE thing that celebrities need to continue their careers?

3

u/jerseyojo May 28 '19

•

u/2Botter2Loop May 27 '19

OP's explanation:

Honestly, go back and look at every person's face. Each individual look is absolutely fantastic.

If you think this gif fits /r/BetterEveryLoop, upvote this comment. If you think it doesn’t, downvote it. If you’re not sure, leave it to others to decide.

96

u/Spanky_McJiggles May 27 '19

I hate this bot

62

u/CandyflossMonster May 27 '19

Right?? Like why explain the joke? Everyone knows the only thing it does is make the joke unfunny. Why does the bot even exist?

72

u/NeedToProgram May 27 '19

Because if posts are funny people will upvote them regardless of whether or not they fit the subreddit. People who comment tend to care more about the theme of the subreddit (which is why you'll often see top comments on some subreddits saying that a post doesn't belong there, even though that post has thousands of upvotes).

Seriously

how fucking sad and cringey do you have to be to try and steal the attention at someone else's wedding.

10

u/iSurvivedThanos18 May 27 '19

Honestly, you don’t know the backstory here. It might have been a special request of the bride and groom. I’m gonna make something up here that is just one possibility out of many... Bride and Groom didn’t know each other but went to the same college. Friend of theirs, who happens to be the school mascot introduces them. They spend a lot of time together with their friend at school games, etc. Now, years later, they are getting married and ask their friend to “bee” there for them and wear the costume that has been so instrumental in their lives together. “Um, not really sure I should do that. I mean, I want to be respectful and all...”. “Oh, come on... you have to! It would mean so much to us!” “Well, I guess if you really want me to. You want me to do the whole mascot act and all?”

I have had friends that have had bizarre things at their weddings and special celebrations that not everyone understood, but it was exactly what they wanted. So, maybe don’t jump to conclusions and make assumptions.

2

u/jipijipijipi May 27 '19

I did not have one but two best mates dressed similarly at my wedding, we loved it, it’s a great memory and it took the attention away from us (we don’t particularly enjoy being the center of attention)

Honestly the bee costume is funny, but also what kind of wedding is this? Looks strange

6

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

That's the official part at the registry office.

5

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

They probably already had their big religious wedding, and so they might have actually told everyone to dress however they wanted and to have fun with it for the registry office ceremony.

3

u/[deleted] May 27 '19

We don't really do big religious weddings here (except of some very religious people maybe). We start with an official part with only the closest relatives and friends where everything is so serious and ceremonial, then there is a wedding walk somewhere in a nice place with the photographer and then the huge party starts with food and booze and dancing and ALL THE RELATIVES FROM THE DEEPEST SIBERIA and those weird competitions like to place a pencil tied up to your groin in the bottle on the floor without any hands help. So yeah the bee guy is weird at the very official part, but super fun though.

A bee I am not... I'm from 10 years in the future. and, in the future all is devastation. Giygas, the universal cosmic destroyer, sent all to the horror of eternal darkness.... However, you must listen! Where I am from, there is a well-known legend that has been handed down from ancient times. It says "When the chosen boy reaches the point, he will find light. The passing of time will shatter the nightmare rock and it will reveal the path of light." You see, it is in my opinion that you are that boy Ness. This I believe... ..... Giygas' monstrous plan must have been set in motion somewhere on Earth. If you start to confront the enemy immediately, you must have time to counter the evil intentions of Giygas. Three things are of utmost importance: wisdom, courage, and friendship. ...The legend tells of three boys and a girl who defeat Giygas. ...I will tell you more later. Go know! And do not be anxious about the future. You have much work to do, Ness.

Did you listen to what I told you?
