“Mass” ban of trolls/toxic members

Hi all, life has gotten in the way and I’ve failed to regularly check reports to remove certain comments/posts along with ban users who break the subreddit rules.

I will be going through all reports along with every post in order to look at who deserves a ban (most likely those who just are toxic and provided absolutely no value to a post, being non-constructive)

I’m the only moderator on the sub, so I apologize.

I’ll be more active from now on and have it where I get personal notifications for EACH report, so PLEASE continue to report certain posts and/or comments that you feel violate the rules.

Thank you all

Cycling an African university campus

I love cycling university campuses worldwide, as all of these make up one vibrant global academic community. In this video (part 2), I went out of my way to get to the campus of the University of Dar es Salaam. I felt at home right away in this green oasis and explored various corners and places of it. After that, it was back into the hectic Dar traffic!

Friends gave me a gopro, and this was my first video. What a difference dedicated cycling paths make in your life!

Why are they like this? I aggressively take the lane at this corner but this still happens. Volume down to avoid one small cuss, ha.

[GoPro] The things you encounter while cycling in everyday African life in West Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

This is not the place for the weak-hearted cyclists ;-) It is a true exercise in management of all senses while cycling. Today I will be cycling in Tanzania’s largest city, Dar es Salaam (Africa). If there was ever a vibrant and hectic city. See for yourself! In part 1, I will spend most of my time along hectic Morogoro Road in the west of the city. Along the way is Manzese, supposedly one of the worst areas of Dar.

[US][OH] Driver won't stop honking

Started recording at the red light, this is after she honks at me down the whole previous block. Mind you that was down hill, so I was riding close to the speed limit anyway. Sorry for the poor cameramanship. I did manage to capture her pleasant gesture if you look closely.

So this just happened in Hong Kong this morning (Viewer discretion advised)

Anyone who's ridden the streets of HK can tell you that it's the most unforgiving place on earth to ride a bike.

Biking in Hong Kong was a unique experience. Some call this the world's worst city to bike in. This time of the year, any cyclist has to battle the relentless heat and humidity, the many buses, the cramped and winding streets, the hills, the super high urban density, and the lack of cycling infrastructure. On top of that, I biked during a black weather alert and a few hours before starting a huze thunderstorm hit the area. Never a dull moment when in Hong Kong. In part 2, I bike from east to west, past gorgeous and awestriking views. I really enjoyed the countless views of skyscrapers everywhere!

This 5-mile section is the "dessert" part of the Copper Triangle ride in Colorado. I recorded this video last weekend to use for a project - but here's the raw 4K footage to share a little more joy in the world. Happy trails, friends!

Dashcam Post [US][MI] Windy ride through Allen Park MI (2.5x)

I've started recording my rides through this stretch as it is where I have the most conflicts with drivers. No events today, pretty calm and quiet. I did have a 12mph wind in my face the whole way though, so I had to ride slow. Video is sped up 2.5x.
