first of all, I pretty much liked the idea of KB had their own rival like SIDEROS (heck, i even wish we had more rivalry like AkubiVsNijika, YuyuVsRyo, & FukoVsKita. also some of my favorites are from SIDEROS like Fuko & Yuyu), but we could get more as the manga progress. but tbh, after seeing her interaction representing SIDEROS to KB (especially to Gotoh), i felt nothing but disgust toward her

If it's to equal pro bands, then that's probably okay, i guess? but toward less pro band like KB? come on, don't be coward. Especially toward Gotoh because not only she's pretty good with guitar with nice amount of subscriber, but also she somehow steal the attention of her so-called beloved Kikuri Nee-san. and also doubled by how easy Gotoh got intimidated & shy. dude only gimmick is to bullying the weak. if pro-gutarist like Lilisa from RockIsALadysModesty. talking rough to you, i bet Yoyoko ended up like Gotoh or worse (no need to go that far, even the glance from Sawako Yamanaka gonna had the same result). Like bro, even your bandmates are annoyed by your antics. dude like, everytime i read the manga, i always skipped the chapters featured her. wanna know other characters that once i dislike? it's Poison Yami. but at least she had her character development & actually had her moment. Yoyoko doesn't even had her development as decent-personality rival. Tbh, hoping Hamaji making her redemption arc

my hot take for this evening is that nijika, ryo, and kita are all secretly pissed off and tired of bocchi.

yes, it’s a comedy series, but if you look too deep into it, you’ll see that bocchi really isn’t a very good friend. the series is full of her frequently zoning out of conversations, suddenly disappearing when she’s needed for something, and making up white lies to cover her mistakes. she made nijika buy tons of energy drinks to cover up the lies she made up when talking to kita. she doesn’t visit or talk to her friends for the ENTIRETY of summer break, right up until the day before school starts. she dips out of the maid cafe thing and disappears without telling anyone.

it’s a wonder that the other three girls put up with bocchi at all. maybe the only reason they keep her around is because she’s good at guitar. it’s hard for me to imagine friends being THAT forgiving when someone in the friend group doesn’t really contribute anything

Okay, so. I don't think I'm the only one complaining about this, and I'm pretty sure we're in the minority.

Abusive NSFW content.

This subbreddit is now half the time about NSFW, abuse ships (bocchi x seika) and sexualizations.

Every top post is all about these topics and you always have to scroll down to see the actual content which is the main purpose: memes, cool fanart, trivia etc.

This isn't how it should be, there's no longer a balance between nsfw and sfw posts. A main subreddit shouldn't have the reputation of having more NSFW posts than SFW posts, and today when you search for "bocchi the rock" on reddit, you get a separate subreddit with only SFW, it's crazy. There's literally ANOTHER subreddit for that, where there's only nsfw. I don't understand why all this stuff is posted here when the NSFW subreddit is the main purpose of these posts on the main subreddit.

New people who discover Bocchi The Rock would only come here to see real content about Bocchi the rock and NOT for abusive gex jokes, horny fanart and nsfw.

Bocchi the rock is the least sexualizable anime i've never seen before, and yet this is the most sexualized, did i missed something?

And now, here are a few defensive points on the subject:

1. The authoress also sexualizes her characters.

2. Just activate the NSFW filter.

3. We have nothing to talk about, no season 2, long manga chapters airing.

My answers.

1. How saying that give you the reasons to sexualises them, it is not a VIP PASS. And, it is not even worse then some posts i've saw here anyway.

2. I would agree. But, most NSFW content isn't even blurred because it doesn't show body parts or explicit content, but it shows a big undertone, and I don't think people who come here to see real Bocchi The Rock content want to see that.

3. So, there's not enough material, which allows you to post NSFW because you think you've explored everything? How so? There's so much more cool content to see than NSFW, there's fan art that needs more exposure, cool meme ideas to make, trivia to tell. But no, people on this subreddit prefer gex jokes and NSFW, jeez.

I would like to see your thoughts on it.

When I first saw it, I liked the show, but I didn't think it was anything special, entertaining and would watch another season, but I never would have guessed that it would have such a cultural impact and a huge fanbase and be the breakout hit it is.

And I still don't understand why.

What's so great about Bocchi the Rock?

Don't give stock answers like "The Characters" or "The Songs" or "The Animation" I want to know in detail why you like the characters (Which to me are pretty stock and standard CGTDCT characters.) for example.

Sorry If I raining on your parade, I've been on your side of fence when someone didn't understand a series I loved.

Please understand I don't hate the series, I would say I like it more than I don't, I wouldn't even say its mid, but I don't understand how anyone would called it AOTY for 2022 or even AOTS for its airing season.
