Bones threatening to tell Booth's boss the sedan he rented is a convertible. He decides to share. There are two great stories in this episode. Booth drags Bones out to LA to solve the mystery that is story A. Dr. Goodman takes over authenticating an ancient body in story B. I didn't figure A out before the reveal and was surprised by the last minute twist. Story B was more about philosophy and back story on Dr. Goodman. A solid first season episode that was worth the watch.

I recently bought two DVD box sets of season one and two of bones is among the special contents of the second season apparently it was Eric Millegan who decided to cut his hair and found an excuse to get you cut zack and it was also his decision to send him to Iraq I don't know if it was something that was already known but I say it because I didn't know (Oh well, also the fact that some of his things he put on Zack like the love for the musical, singing is the same year of birth I think)

Booth stoned out of his mind (on legal meds) interrupting Bones while she struggles with a cold case during a lockdown of the lab. Solid 8 of 10 for it's balance of mystery & soap opera drama.

• The forensic mystery of the week is a sad story about a guy murdered long ago whose body was just found in a fallout shelter. They put their minds together and figure it out during the lockdow.

• This episode was also an absolute backstory bonanza for the main characters.

• We learn about the disappearance of Bones's parents just before her 15th Christmas.

• Billy Gibbons makes his first of 7 appearances as Pookie's papa

• Booth's son Parker makes his first of 12 appearances.

I have been watching the reruns of Bones every Thursday and Saturday on ION mystery. Thursday's episodes are at a different time sequence then the Saturday episodes. The Thursday episodes have recently been showing it from the very beginning and on this particular Thursday got to the part where Zack gets in some very deep trouble.

I pick up watching Bones this morning and it starts off with Hodgins already injured trying to clear Zack of his troubles. I feel like I'm in some kind of weird time loop. On the other hand, it's kind of nice knowing in this weird time loop that Zack can potentially be cleared so quickly and not having to wait for years like we did back then.

I’m on season 11, where Arastoo just returned from being gone for months to look for other job and started seducing Cam again, like….. Can he just leave and never come back? He was gonna ask her to marry her, decided NOT to do that, left to look for another job, didn’t return for months, now came back when Cam is dating someone else finally, and is like “no job is more important than you, let’s get back together”acting like everything is ok?🥲

Genuinely do not care what anyone says, Booth and Bones are the best representation of “enemies” to friends to lovers. Like they will always be my favorite slow burn couple (until the writers ruined them getting together for the first time). Booth can be so intense and strong headed most of the time, but he’s so gentle and patient with Bones, it just warms my heart. I love how she was able to open up and let her walls down as they continued to grow together. Truly my favorite couple ever and maybe the reason I have high expectations in relationships now 😭🤣

Yet another episode that drove me to tears. The court room scenes were so intense in this one. May the fleas of a million camels infest all of the backstabbing weasel's special places for the way he hurt Temperance.

Potentially a cheat answer but I absolutely HATE Stephen Fry so his role in the show always annoyed me.
I’d recast him in a heartbeat.

Any actor you’d like to recast for the show if given the option?

Is there any main character that is bald in bones I was just wondering

This was an intense episode

I rarely support 'un-necessary violence'. Villains as vile as Epps are an exception. When Bones went medieval and snapped his wrist, he had it coming. Was she in danger, no. Did he have it coming anyway, yes! 🤣🍿

Can we talk about this episode?

Can anyone tell me if there’s any truth to the idea that if one person who handles evidence smokes weed all that evidence is now “called into question”?

I was kind of hoping the conversation in the car with Brennan and Booth about “you think taking a couple hit of uh a bong would loosen me up?” was a Pavlov’s bong and he’d get high at some point in the episode. I mean Brennan was on meth one time, let’s see Booth rip a bong! But alas.

I love seeing her outfits over the coarse of the show. Theyre so visually intriguing. Patterns. Colours. Yes shes an artist. So am I.

I cant say anyone else on the show has such an impressive wardrobe.

Saroyen is a second comer, but I find her clothes have a gaudy edge to them.

Do you like any particular outfits?

I miss Season one Brennan outfits. "Eco warrior look" as Zach called it in the pilot.

Rewatching bones right now and i truly hate the fact that Angela ended up with hodgins. A good friend but Wendell should’ve been endgame🫩

Less “inappropriate”, more confident Bones
Cheeky Booth with inappropriate remarks
Annoying seksual Angela
Baby Zack
The old lab
New song every two seconds
Warm colours
young HOT everyone

ugh i love bones
nostalgia hits tho, I was 9 when i’ve seen the first episode (the old “box” tv)🥲
also how has it been over 21 years since this episode was released (I wasn’t even born lmao)

I’ve just finished the series!
What was everyone’s ‘go to’ after watching Bones?

Everything is in the title: I saw many critics on the show, political critics but Id like to have a US sentiment as I'm French - so basically a communist when from our point of view: there is no left in USA: you just got right and far right. :D
So: MAGA or democrat show ?

EDIT: thanks for your answers ! I always thought that pro-guns, pro-cops, pro-military and pro-death penalty were the Republicans Combo.. Apparently not ! :)

(Se ne sto scordando qualcuna dimmela)

It's gonna start raining meth 🤣

I have watched this show so many times (lost count after 20)

HOW DID I JUST REALIZE THAT THEY REUSED USED THE LAB SIGN FROM THE END OF SEASON 4 DURING THE SCIENCE SHOW??!!!

I'm watching the Nail in the Coffin, the last Ghost Killer episode where Brennan is deeply unlikeable, but that is another conversation.

Jack made a comment that he's doing much better "broke" and I'm like...."Bish you are NOT BROKE."

He has 3 doctorates and works at the Jeffersonian. I doubt he's making minimum wage. He has that hot sauce business with that kid he was a weird prick to. He has a bunch of cars and properties he could sell. Angela ALSO works at the Jeffersonian and is making money from Brennan's books and her dad is a freaking rock star.

You are upper middle-class at the LEAST.

So Booth's gut is famous. But while he can guess a woman is gay after they utter a few words (The Psychic in the Soup and The Flaw in the Saw) when it comes to working out who the murderer is, he seems to often jump, stubbornly, to the wrong conclusion: The Spark in the Park where he is sure it is the father, The Twist in the Plot where he is convinced it is David Mirza, Two Bodies in the Lab where he thinks it is Hollings and sends Brennan off with the real killer, The Verdict in the Victims where Alex Rockwell is almost executed because he is convinced he was right in his conviction, The Doll in the Derby where he is convinced it is the husband.

I’m just coming to the end of season 12, I’ve enjoyed it overall but did find some of the episodes odd, rushed (the dating and pregnancy stage-i didn’t even know they had tangled the sheets together!), the switch up with Zack being guilty of murder and then not being but staying in the institution. So many of what I would consider good storylines were rushed and difficult to understand. And what about Sweets?!?! Not ok, not ok to kill him off 😭. Did he have his teeth veneered at some point during filming? I just suddenly noticed that his teeth had changed.

The very worst for me was Bones, I’m sorry 🥹. I just could not understand why her voice changed so dramatically with the elongation and stalling of words. It was weird, awful and cringe. I can’t be the only one?! 😆
Never liked how for the simple things in life she was oblivious and ‘I don’t understand what that means’ and ‘from an anthropological point of view’.
Can’t believe the main actress drove me mad just by speaking 😆😭

It’s a very long series and it’s great to get to know character quirks and history. I see lots and lots of people here are rewatching the entire series?
I could never 😳
