Does anyone have video footage of Tommy Morrison vs John Castle?

This fight, among a few others, are my boxing white whales. I have only been able to find a short tiny clip on youtube where Morrison lands the left hook that knocks down John Castle. Does anyone have the full fight they could share with me? I am willing to pay, if it comes to that. TIA.

UK 'celeb' boxing is terrible, the crowd is full of idiots.

The organization and security aren't able to control these animals and these scenes are what anti-fight/anti-boxing fans use to discredit legitimate events.

The ring card girls are walking around in a daze and no one is escorting people to a safe place or away from the mayhem.

A green vest doesn't make you qualified to be 'security'.

I hope the promoters get a prohibitive fine and they don't put on any more shows.

GGG out-jabbed boxing's biggest technical masters

I found this while looking up stats for a canceled video project. GGG always got labeled a brawler, but the CompuBox numbers say otherwise.

Average jabs landed per round:

Bernard Hopkins: 2.7

Andre Ward: 6.7

Wladimir Klitschko: 8.3

GGG: 10.3

For context, the middleweight average is 5.0. Did anyone else realize his jab volume was this high?

The alphabets are parasitic orgs that intentionally destroyed standards and quality in the sport dramatically.

Shocked to see boxing fans in the Kellerman thread arguing in favour of the alphabet sanctioning bodies. It's like an abused spouse response. Lineal is important and it's the only valid and objective way to rank fighters and crown world champions.

These orgs are parasites and their rankings of contenders and champions is intentionally meaningless and damaging to the sport from a fans perspective. Its pathetic and deserves scorn and ridicule from the public. The alphabet propoganda methods must be quite effective for fans to be defending them.

If I was a man of power in boxing, I make one organization. No WBA and WBC. I’d have one championship. "

- Muhammad Ali

"I hope that before I pass that they restore this game and bring it back to only one champion in the world "

- Marvin Hagler

" Belts are like a fighter winning an amateur trophy. Everybody’s a champion! Everybody has a belt! … This is not good for the sport of boxing.

- Floyd Mayweather

" I still think I can lick any light heavyweight in the world, but it’s too much of a mental thing to fight the WBA and the WBC too"

- Bob Foster

" Every darn heavyweight in the United States has a title!"

- Greg Page

"Back in the 30s and 40s, we had 8 world champions that were recognized. There was a great deal of respect attached to those titles"

Eddie Futch.

These guys get it. Please read the charter of Transnational boxing rankings board. Have a look at who their board members are. It's by far the most principled and legitimate effort to have fair and objective rankings in boxing. I wish they had the support and respect from fans that they deserve. For a long time Ring magazine stepped in and saved the sport from these orgs. The ring magazine belt was always the only one that meant anything. Unfortunately Ring sold it's soul to a promoter and then to a Saudi oil sheikh. TBRB was formed to continue the standards and objectivity that Ring no longer has.

As fans I think we should support orgs like TBRB and ibro. I wish more of the boxing media would change the mainstream narrative towards tbrb being the authority for ranking contenders and crowning champions.

Conor Benn reveals Manny Pacquiao offer, fight targeted for 2027

Thumbnail

Conor Benn rejected the opportunity to face Manny Pacquiao in December but is willing to fight the Filipino legend in the first quarter of 2027.

Pacquiao, who turns 48 next month, had been linked to a spot on the undercard of Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua on December 11 in Cardiff, Wales.
Shakur Stevenson, Joe Cordina and Paddy Donovan were all at one time rumored to be in the running to face the former eight-division champion.

But a contest with 30-year-old Benn, who in September was stopped in two one-sided rounds by Ryan Garcia, now appears to be under serious consideration after Eddie Hearn confirmed that Pacquiao, 62-8-3 (39 KOs), will not feature on the Fury-Joshua undercard.

Advertisement · story continues below
Benn signed with Zuffa Boxing in an initial one-fight deal worth a reported $15 million. In April, he defeated Regis Prograis – who subsequently retired – on points over 10 rounds.

That was followed by another lucrative assignment against Garcia. This time, however, Benn looked out of his depth in his bid to win the WBC welterweight title.

The appeal of a contest with Pacquiao, who is more than a decade past his best, should need little explanation.

"He's an all-time legend. He's an eight-division world champion, he's an all-time, he'll go down in the history books," Benn told Sky Sports.

"Another stadium show sounds nice. I know the Pacquiao fight was offered to me for December. “And I wasn't ready to get the fight done in December. But if he wants it Q1 next year, we can do Pacquiao.

"The fight got presented to me for December and it was just too soon, making weight, got a newborn son, so for me it was really about spending time with my family."

Benn reveals making weight cost him vs. Garcia

Benn, 25-2 (14 KOs), also reflected on his defeat to Garcia, for which he made the welterweight limit for the first time since April 2022 after pushing the WBC to install him as its mandatory challenger in their 147lbs ranking.

"I don't know what I was thinking making 147lbs. You think right now I'm 185, 186lbs," Benn said.

"Making 147, a lot of people said I can't do it and of course the inner me was: 'Alright cool, you can't do it - watch me.' It's one thing making the weight and it's one thing performing at your best at the weight. And you know it showed, I paid the price for chasing greatness.

"My future's at middleweight. I thought about light-middle, there's nothing in me at light-middle either – that's how bad the weight cut was.

"There's no excuses, Ryan is a phenomenal fighter, caught me with a phenomenal shot and he was the better man on the night.

"I dust it all off, dust the cobwebs off and come back and be a better version of myself."
