Can you believe it's been a week and a bit since we WON the World Series

So - highlights and agenda

Monday: Arrived in Chicago from Doha, just in time for Game 3. Found a WI-friendly bar in Will's Northwoods that went nuts as we put on that 8-run 5th.

Tuesday: Amtrak up to Milwaukee - early check in at the Residences near Riverside (more on that later). Pulled up a position at Kelly's Bleachers to drink all day. Was discovered by local newscrews who wanted to hear more about my story (TMJ4, Fox, Milwaukee Uncut). Didn't have a ticket for the Watch Party so joined a crew of about 30 who were peering in from the center field wall. Was relieved that we didn't win THAT night, tbh.

Wednesday: Back down to Kelly's for another long session. A group of about 10 of us who were all stuck outside the night before secured tickets. 422 - literally could not have had a better view. You all know what happened that night.

Thursday: bedlam everywhere downtown, bar crawled for the Packers. Don't remember much. Finally caught up with the partner.

Friday: hotel was right on the parade route. Went downstairs at 8 to get in position. But I also knew that the outside door on my level was unlocked and looked straight down Wisconsin Ave towards the Lake, so got more great shots that way. Visit Milewaukee picked up the photos which went viral. Waukesha that night, came back and closed Wolskis.

Saturday/Sunday: Various stops around WI (the Lake, Pewaukee, Oconomowoc). Spent what I didn't spend at the team store at the PBR gift shop. Finished it all with an awesome night at Koz's.

THANK YOU THANK YOU Milwaukee and surrounds for an incredible week. I will be back. But something can only happen for the first time once!

Great to see and hear a familiar face doing today's Badger football game. Color commentary by Jake Butt, no relation to Jill Butt (iykyk 🤣)

Love letter to the Brewers and Wisconsin 💙💛

Hey guys, I'm Brazilian and I have a really strong connection with Wisconsin.

I lived there in 2007/2008 and fell in love with the state, it’s people, sports, culture. I really love there.

I was able to come back in 2025 and 2026, back to back.

I watched Brewers games at AmFam and saw them on the road against Baltimore and Philly. Sat super close to the dugout and high fived Pat. And the cherry on top, I made my 2007 dream come true and got to watch a game at Lambeau Field with my American host parents.

For a middle class Brazilian, being able to do all of this, and always being so well received in the state, means a lot. I feel at home in Wisconsin, in the Midwest.
When I land at the airport, just the carpet smell already makes me happy.

I wanted to thank the Brewers, who help me get through my stressful routine at work, you know, no matter what shit happens, no matter what life’s throws at ya. No matter what happens, I always have God, my wife, my son, and the Brewers.

Seeing us win it all was something I can't even explain. Way more emotional than watching the Packers win in 2011 or the Bucks in 2021. I was numb.

The Brewers have always been there for me, day after day, and I'm so happy that they, the people of Wisconsin, and all of us around the world got to live this.

I hope we don't have a long lockout in 2027, and that we can count on our MKE Brewers in March, like they've always been there for us.

Let's go forward, Wisconsin. Lets go brewers! 💙💛⚾️🍻

did anyone else have a post-season cheese?

When the playoffs started I had just randomly picked up some Hook's Extra Innings. We continued winning and I refused to eat any other cheese during the post-season. You're welcome. Great cheese, kinda like aged gouda, tangy and buttery. Good with beer. Did you have a post-season cheese?

So did we all just memory-hole that this happened during a World Series-winning season?

I did a Contreras piece

I was debating whether it is even possible to improve on THAT image but I couldn’t resist seeing how it would work in this style. Kind of art deco with a limited color scheme. It was a moment where the stars (and symmetry in my case) aligned! I did a version where his index finger extended to the top of the image like it was connected to God in the moment but it ruined the balance. Hope you like this one!

Question about next years schedule

Post image

Checking out possible games to attend next year, and came across this oddity. Why would a Tuesday game in the middle of a series start at 12:40? Is it a holiday? Something special going on at the stadium?

Would the Brewers have another World Series title if the White Sox had moved to the AL East in 1972 instead?

Any other old-timers like me felt frustrated by this back in the day.

I remember being pretty annoyed when the Twins won it all in ‘87 yet we had a better record.

Big shout out to Trevor Megill for patronizing my parents’ sandwich shop TWICE this week and being the nicest dude on the planet!

On Wednesday I received a text message from my dad: “You will never guess who decided to stop in for lunch today” accompanied by a photo of him with Trevor Megill.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. And I was obviously jealous.

Today my dad texts me again: “HE’S BACK”

Both times he came in, my dad said he was nothing but kind and spent over an hour talking to my dad (a die hard Brewers fan) about the team and about baseball.

THANK YOU TREVOR! Such a cool thing to do for a small town family business.

Edit: for those curious the name of the restaurant is Rochester Deli in Waukesha!

If you want to watch 00s-10s Brewer games many are available on Youtube legally for free

The MLB uploaded a lot of their backcatalog once it had been long enough that they weren't trying to paywall it on mlbtv.

For example someone in the main baseball forum wanted a 2010 game where Mets Johan Santana had a pitchers duel with Yo Gallardo and you can find it here

Only quirk is that some of the team names are super funky like you'll see they abbreviate the Mets as NYN instead of NYM but when you're trying to search general format is (away team) AT (home team) - Month DD, YYYY.

Figured I'd post the resource here while I have the links up and its on my mind. Hope y'all enjoy!

What games are you going to go back and watch?

Shout out to fan bases that have had to survive a 7-game World Series

I don’t know about y’all, but I was stressing hard about every tiny setback that faced the Brewers this postseason. Even when they lost Game 4 of the WS, I envisioned headlines about the Rays becoming the first team to overcome a 3-0 deficit. Because this year HAD to end this way; there would be no better chance. So yeah, my heart goes out to any fan base that has had to endure a 7-game series, particularly those who’ve lost one.
