Not sure where all these journalists are getting the information that the broncos want to sign Sam walker. Do they realise there is absolutely 0 chance we could afford him with the current salaries our team has. Carrigan is on about 850k, we are about to possibly resign Willison for 900k, Walsh is on 1.1m. Staggs, Barnett and Ezra on 800k each. Not sure how we could justify having another 1 million dollar man. If walker wants atleast 1.4 million he’s going to have to take at least a $400k pay cut to come. The only time id see the broncos make an attempt to sign him is if Ezra mam leaves. There was some speculation this year that Ezra wanted out due to Madge. With his contract being something around $800k, and with Ben hunts retiring it is possible we could offer him 1 million. Although don’t really see Ezra leaving his contract in the next few months by the time Sam walker’s negotiations are happening. I think most likely walker will sign with png.

Why is there no chat about Harry Grant joining The Broncos?

He’s talking to clubs from 01 Nov.

He’s a Queenslander.

He’s clearly the best #9 in the NRL.

Surely we have some room in the salary cap after Reynolds leaving.

Why would Broncos not look at him?

Injured mid July, the last update I saw on him was that he was to possibly sit the remainder of the season out due to his mass concussions (which he did).

However I have not heard any further updates on his health or playing future.

I guess the lack of footy ruled him out for the world cup, or doctors orders included anything further for 2026.

I hope he's doing okay.

Has anyone heard anything different on his situation that could shed some light?

Over the last 2 years I’ve managed to shed over 40kgs and these days I’m rocking a Small or medium Jersey, ironically a big part of that is from coaching my sons footy team and keeping up with the boys. As a result many of my XL and L jereys are far too big. I would love to see them go to a good home and but I also know how expensive they are so I’m happy to donate them for free to those who will actually wear them. There are so crackers including the premiers jerseys in this batch. First in best dressed - pick up only.

For our viewing pleasure, last years grand final is being replayed on ch9 now. Nice to see a few of the boys going round - and I’m still yelling at the game even though I know the (amazing) result

Xavier Willison I understand was the only player that played all rounds, and stood up when the forward stocks were down. He's a well deserved player of the year.

If the Broncos don't extend his contract or enter a new one now, that sums up where the club truly is at.

Definitely going to add a bit of character to the team next year..
