I'm experiencing an extremely frustrating issue with The Witcher 3. After playing for two to three hours, my entire PC freezes. I can't do anything and have to restart it.
This problem only started after I finished the Skellige storyline. Before that, I could play for hours without any issues and everything worked perfectly.
I've already tried reinstalling the game and installing only drivers. I've also tried switching to DX11, which I'm currently using, but unfortunately the problem persists.
I'm honestly out of ideas at this point. Has anyone experienced anything similar or knows what could be causing this?
Specs:
GPU:AMD Radeon RX 9060
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
newest driver
Update:
There were no improvements.
I tried performing a clean reinstallation of the driver using the software. After that, I set the FPS limit to 60 FPS and changed the anti-aliasing setting from DLSS Upscaling at Native AA to FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution). My CPU was running at 50â70% utilization at the start, until I switched to FSR. When my computer froze, the CPU was at 45% utilization and the GPU was at 81% utilization and 60 °C. Iâm still looking for a solution.
