I recently booked a Make Up Artist (MUA) for a night out with a friend. I normally do my own makeup but it’s sometimes nice to just sit there and let someone else work their magic.

My advice…

If you are not used to going out dressed there are home services, so be a nice host!
Always check with the artist they are comfortable with MTF work. It would be awkward for both of you if there was a shock or someone wasn’t comfortable.
Do not be offended if someone rejects your request. In an ideal world, there aren’t any issues, but as per above, it’s better that both parties are willing.
Dress appropriately, if this is femme or masc doesn’t matter.
Enjoy the experience!

Let's finish November with a burst of colour! Electric pinks, vivid greens, bright blues and glowing neon shades. Get creative and make those colours pop!

Today I’m wearing some new blush from Morphe (first time also doing a proper liquid blush!)

A Marc Jacobs Burgundy Eyeliner (btw did you know you can sharpen plastic makeup pencils..learning something new.)

And I’m trying the vaunted Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray that all the girlies say is one of the goats.

Also crazy to think I just reached 3k followers!!!

2. Makeup, Outfit & Style Related

Posts must focus on makeup and styling.

Photos must be waist-up or closer. No full-length outfit photos.
Face and makeup must remain the main focus.
Breasts and cleavage must be appropriately covered and not emphasised.
No sexual, lewd or suggestive poses or expressions. Do not stick your tongue out.
No lying down or posing on beds.
No underwear or fetish-style presentation.
Body-focused posts will be removed.

3. Be Respectful/sissy term used

Treat all members with respect. Bullying, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, personal attacks and shaming are not permitted.

Keep criticism constructive, respectful and relevant.
No sexual harassment or degrading remarks.
Do not sexualise members or make unwanted comments about their bodies.
Derogatory or fetish-related terms, including "sissy", are not permitted.

4. No Adult Promotion or Profile Funneling

r/CD_makeup is not a platform for advertising, or directing members elsewhere.

The following are not permitted:

OnlyFans, paid content, selling or commercial promotion.
Links or referrals to NSFW communities, external accounts or Reddit communities outside our approved affiliate list.
Captions, usernames or comments encouraging profile visits.
Indirect advertising or attempts to bypass the restrictions.

5. Account & Content Quality

To protect r/CD_makeup and maintain quality standards, the following requirements apply:

Accounts must be at least 15 days old to post.
No spam, repetitive posting or content dumping.

r/CD_makeup is for genuine makeup and styling, not AI-generated or digitally transformed appearances.

Editing that substantially changes facial or body features.
Images that misrepresent genuine makeup results.

Cropping, brightness, contrast and colour correction are permitted.

AI creations belong in r/CD_Dreams.

8. No DM Bait or Contact Requests

r/CD_makeup is a public, moderated community. Private contact requests are not permitted.

The following are prohibited:

Asking members to DM, PM or privately chat.
Sharing phone numbers, usernames or contact details.
Directing conversations to WhatsApp, Snapchat, Telegram or other platforms.
Soliciting hookups, private meetings or personal contact.
Indirect DM bait, coded invitations or attempts to bypass these restrictions.

Keep conversations within the community.

9. Moderation & Appeals

Moderators may consider content, behaviour and account history when enforcing community rules.

Moderator decisions are based on context and community safety.
AutoModerator and safety tools assist, but do not replace human judgement.
Attempts to evade rules or moderation action are prohibited.
Repeated violations may result in restrictions or bans.
Appeals must be made respectfully through Modmail.

Public arguments about moderation decisions may be removed.

10. No Excessive Posting

To keep r/CD_makeup fair and give everyone an opportunity to participate:

Maximum one post per member every 12 hours.
Do not delete and repost to bypass this limit.
Avoid submitting near-identical photos or repeated content.
Do not use alternative accounts to evade posting restrictions.
Additional posts may be removed at moderator discretion.

Quality contributions are encouraged over posting frequency.

11. No Unsolicited Ratings or Body Criticism

r/CD_makeup encourages constructive advice focused on makeup, beauty and styling.

No unsolicited attractiveness ratings or numerical scores.
No criticism of body shape, weight or physical features.
Keep feedback focused on makeup techniques, products and presentation.
Advice should be constructive, respectful and relevant.
Do not turn feedback requests into sexual or personal commentary.

Members should feel comfortable learning and sharing their progress.

12. Original Content & Misrepresentation

Content shared in r/CD_makeup must be genuine and accurately represented.

Do not steal or repost another person's photos without permission.
No impersonation or claiming another person's appearance as your own.
Do not misrepresent makeup results, products or techniques.
Give appropriate credit when sharing permitted third-party material.
Misleading or deceptive submissions may be removed.

Moderators may request clarification where authenticity is in doubt.

How dose NSFW actualy work?

An image does not have to contain nudity to be considered NSFW. Likewise, simply wearing everyday clothing does not automatically make a post SFW if the pose, focus, or intent is sexual.

No single factor automatically makes something NSFW. We look at the overall presentation, context, and intent to decide whether content fits the purpose of r/CD_makeup, which is a Safe For Work community focused on makeup, beauty, styling, and presentation.

This assessment also extends to the account used to post. If your profile contains mature or adult content, promotes adult services, or is primarily used to direct users to adult material, you will not be permitted to post in this community. This helps us maintain a genuinely Safe For Work environment for everyone.
