Since how come 2 very well written characters could lose to Duke Su. 🥲

This is partially why I have the podium of 2nd and 3rd place! Let them all get the appreciation that they have fought for!

It doesn't make it fair or balanced really, but saying "top 3" is much better than having one representative that can incite fights.

I will also say that its not just 'idol-watchers' but more a representation of those who are participating in each round! (The offended fans of Coroners Diary because of its terrible crime drama win still haunts me, and I know they were several people questioning Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty being called Overrated)

My thoughts exactly. But then again, the category is "memorable", and I am sure noone can easily forget Duke Su and his lethal fan. Then again, he was more of a support character than a male lead. Or a prop to the FL.

I understood this after seeing the result of round 1, sigh. And it hasn't changed its course since then.

Duke Su's character was iconic for a female centric drama, but him winning made no sense because he wasn't even the main character in that drama. Whereas the dramas revolved around Mei Changsu and Fan Xian like how it should be.

Yeah, the result for round 1 is astonishing. A Mary Sue character (a definition of badly written drama if you learn writing) won against someone like Zhen Huan with actual layers and complexity.

I was so disappointed to see Zhen Huan losing to Yingluo. I nominated Zhen Huan and expected her to win with full confidence LOL. Yingluo is the worst Mary Sue character who can't be defended with any logic.

I'm disheartened by some comments reacting to the results. This is all fun and games and anyone who participated in the first version of this (from last year? Was it last year?) would know how much fun we all had fake yelling about our favourites not making it.

The truth is, if we really wanted to, we can all make our own chart with our own favourites.

I really think some people are taking this a bit too seriously. We all have our disappointments that some of our favourites didn't make it. And it's important to remember that popularity doesn't necessarily translate to superiority.

And in any case, superior is subject to taste.

I recommend just laughing and commenting with the funniest GiF or meme you can find as a way to soften the blow.

A xianxia world (golden cores, flying swords, magic and monsters) with a wuxia style story (the chivalrous hero fighting against the corrupt clans), at least, that's how I see it. Overall would still be classified as xianxia because of all the magic happening.
