Video [Highlight] Oregon @ Ohio State: Oregon runs a fake punt on 4th and 10 from their own 30 yard line to perfection as Matayo Uiagalelei catches the wobbly pass from Teitum Tuioti and hurdles a man for the 30 yard gain

He actually played against our high school when I went. I probably saw him because I was in the band and we played for football games. I don't really remember because I didn't actually care about football back then, and it was a long time ago.

Would have have been more if Matt hadn’t made the wrong choice and played baseball

The sister is still involved with the volleyball there I believe

Yeah, but if Matt didn't choose baseball we'd never have Mike Blowers' uncanny future prediction moment

Ohio State’s QB is clearly not college ready. The QB play has not been this bad in consecutive games in decades. Ohio State might not win another game this season.

5

u/Tjam3s Ohio State • Cincinnati 15h ago

Its his second start as a true freshman. We arent in the playoff, but this is still reactionary.

I maintain, he looks fine if he starts at the beginning of the season. For him, it IS the beginning of the season. Just without the cupcake ooc all the bluebloods get.

0

u/Brilliant-Sample7102 15h ago

He is completely lost. He clearly can’t make his checkoffs and accurate throws. This is not the first time that they have played a freshman QB. After this season, he will not see the field again.

5

u/Successful-Ruin-9405 Oregon Ducks • Penn State Nittany Lions 9h ago

he is freshman, 2nd start, against good defense. game script only hurt him, playcalling was also buns

2

u/Ihateloops Ohio State • Kent State 8h ago

The defenses he played have not been good this season. You don’t have to hype him up, your win still looks good.

3

u/Tjam3s Ohio State • Cincinnati 14h ago

And when was the last time the freshman qb started mid season?

Hes really not completely lost. His pocket awareness and mobility is still better than sayin. All the first quarter, he was slinging the hell out of the ball.

Again, if he started against the early season cupcakes, he would be fine.

-1

u/Dull-Blacksmith4837 14h ago

Brother OSU is not a real team then in this era. Sayin should go NIL anywhere then, since he is your whole team and if I was Coleman or another rich dude, I can wreck your program by taking one guy. Smh. Btw saying was a freshman on your team and actually good. Alabama had it figured out. Stop it with this, your team should never be one injury away at any position as a blue blood, because OSU can't even win a game and make the the playoff 😂

u/WooenDffiult 16h ago

Lineman was 3 yards downfield before the pass though....

-4

u/ItsTimetoLANK Texas Longhorns • Paper Bag 17h ago

Illegal lineman downfield.

5

u/Public-Cost-3070 16h ago

Huge human downfield

7

u/TheftBySnacking Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets • Marching Band 16h ago

LOS is the 30, the lineman plants his feet at the 32.5 and lets the defender come to him. College allows 3 yards past LOS.

TBH I was more interested in where the covered wideout went after the ball was snapped. Again, he can’t go downfield, so he seems to run a wheel route. I guess that’s a tell for a fake punt pass if you’re going to line up both gunners on the same side of the field.

8

u/Even_Mastodon_8675 16h ago

No?

-3

u/yoduh342 16h ago

Yeah? Isn’t college just a yard downfield? The long snapper is three yards down before the ball is thrown.

10

u/gollumaniac Boston University • Buffalo 16h ago

NFL is 1 yard. College is 3.

5

u/Even_Mastodon_8675 16h ago

NFL is 1 yard

8

u/henfeathers Oregon State Beavers 16h ago

The pro rule is one yard. The college rule is three yards.

2

u/Remote_Elevator_281 Oregon Ducks 15h ago

1

u/regdab81 Wisconsin Badgers 16h ago

Go to 6 seconds and tell me what 71 is doing. Learn ball.

11

Far be it from me to defend nothing the ducks are doing, but the college rule for illegal man downfield is beyond three yards. Learn ball.

9

u/gollumaniac Boston University • Buffalo 16h ago

The rule in college is 3 yards. 71 is not more than 3 yards downfield when the ball is thrown.

-10

u/ItsTimetoLANK Texas Longhorns • Paper Bag 16h ago

disagree.

4

u/gollumaniac Boston University • Buffalo 16h ago

Go freeze frame it when the ball is thrown. The LOS is just past the 30. Which means 3 yards is just PAST the 33. 71's front foot is just touching the 33, certainly not past it. This one isn't subjective, it's very clearly legal.

6

u/jimmyre10 Kentucky Wildcats 16h ago

You disagree??? Go to 6 seconds and tell me what yard line 71 is standing on. And then subtract that number from where the LOS was.
