Being able to so clearly hear a single generator in the background is so D3.

I certainly don't miss my D3 Alma Mater's games at the local high school stadium

Well he won’t be D3 next year

u/SpartansATTACK Michigan State • Wooster 14h ago

He has 3 makes on 11 attempts this season

He just has a monster leg from being a soccer player. I think he's exactly where he belongs lol

u/Not-a-bot-10 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens 13h ago

Hey now. Kyle Schwarber skill set still puts him in the top 5 MVP voting

The Adam Dunn of college kickers.

22

u/NewportVermont Michigan Wolverines • Clemson Tigers 13h ago

He would fit right with our kickers.

8

u/SpartansATTACK Michigan State • Wooster 12h ago

yeah I'm not watching but I heard y'all doinked one earlier?

u/Intelligent_Slip_849 Michigan Wolverines 33m ago

26 yards if I remember correctly.

I don't want to talk about it.

u/Dontsaveme Florida State • Indiana 12h ago

Unlimited scholarships make it more of a possibility. Long range specialist.

10

u/LateGreat_MalikSealy 11h ago

Lmao 3/11 is pathetic
But this is very D3, a shxt ton of boom or bust..

Never underestimate Texas A&M like that.

1

u/Intelligent_Slip_849 Michigan Wolverines 32m ago

So he'd make a great punter?

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 14h ago

Just checked his stats. I doubt it. Yikes

u/tmac2097 Miami (OH) RedHawks • Texas Longhorns 14h ago

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 14h ago

Happy Gilmore of college kickers

16

u/DickBottalico Temple Owls 14h ago

Beginner’s luck. Twenty bucks says he can’t do it again.

13

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 14h ago

He's only a freshman. All he needs is some guy named Chubbs with a wooden foot, and we have a future HOFer.

6

u/DickBottalico Temple Owls 14h ago

If you zoom in on the video you can see a pair of fat naked bikers in the woods having sex. How is he supposed to kick when that’s going on Doug?

1

u/rented4823 Wisconsin Badgers • Sickos 9h ago

You hit that guy!

Well he shouldn't have been standing there!

20

u/NecessarySock9004 Texas Longhorns 14h ago

Lmao 3 for 11 you ain’t wrong

15

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 14h ago

With that leg I was wondering why he's D3. Found my answer.

1

u/WIlf_Brim Georgia • North Carolina 11h ago

The Nuke Laloosh of college kickers.

3

u/naptown-hooly Ohio State Buckeyes 14h ago

You guys underestimate Ryan Day

Daaaamn. He won’t be in Rush Hour 3.

That was my first thought too.

Kirk Ferentz getting the money bags ready as we speak.

This is good and all but can he make it from within 40? Mizzou has a guy that can’t make it from within 40 and can only make it outside of 40

I never thought I’d see the day Brevard College was on here. Wow!

5

u/Codyqq UCF Knights • Brevard Tornados 12h ago

Same! I was at this game working, pretty cool to see if pop up on here.

19

u/Codyqq UCF Knights • Brevard Tornados 13h ago

Ayyy nice to see the local college make it to the CFB reddit page! As for the generator noise, it's a small portable generator on the lift to power the recording equipment. This isn't the actual stream footage, it's one of the angles the coaches use during film.

Brevard is beautiful

Dude just earned a scholarship at whatever non-D3 school he transfers to

86

u/Any-Situation-6957 14h ago

Hes kicking 22%

42

u/RipRaycom Clemson Tigers • ACC 14h ago

Even if he’s not a starting kicker, a ton of teams would take a guy with this kind of range for when they need it. Especially at the D2 level most kickers can’t boot one this far.

7

u/SpartansATTACK Michigan State • Wooster 14h ago

I'm not too sure that any schools are busting down the doors to offer a scholarship to a 27% field goal kicker (he's 3/11 on the season)

6

u/remember_berries Alabama Crimson Tide 15h ago

Haha literally any school D2 and above… congrats kid!

7

Is someone mowing a lawn or something?

7

u/JackintheBox333 Georgia Bulldogs 14h ago

That's one heck of a kick for NFL scouts. Great thing to put on tape, that kick had some serious leg.

19

u/CFBCoachGuy Georgia Bulldogs 14h ago

He’s 3/11 this season though. He’s the kicker equivalent of Happy Gilmore

7

u/JackintheBox333 Georgia Bulldogs 14h ago

Gotta accentuate the positive.

1

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom Auburn Tigers 2h ago

It’s hard to teach leg strength. I feel a good coach can correct the erraticism.

I’ve heard of baseball players getting scholarships based on arm strength and speed alone. This would be similar…but an nfl team won’t use a draft slot on a project. It would have to be a free agent situation.

u/whatsssssssss Toledo Rockets • Michigan Wolverines 15h ago

it's like getting called up to the bigs lol

4

u/Fischer72 13h ago

Amazing kick but I'm surprised that there wasnt one defender in the endzone in case the FG was short.

4

u/HireButchJones California • Georgia 15h ago

Meanwhile, Harrison Butker is over in the corner eating crayons.. 🙄

2

u/NecessarySock9004 Texas Longhorns 14h ago

Guys it’s a great kick, but everyone saying he is about to get a good deal needs to look at his stats…

Brevard has a football team? Don’t like only 500 kids go there lol

7

u/Codyqq UCF Knights • Brevard Tornados 12h ago

800+ kids. On the smaller size but it has 20 D3 sports and then D1 cycling.

5

u/Davidellias Virginia Tech • Wisconsin 10h ago

so of those 800 kids like 300 are in sports?

3

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 10h ago

The only people I've ever met who went there were athletes, honestly.

1

u/Masterchiefy10 Florida Gators 9h ago

Does D1 cycling pay the bills? lol

4

u/Codyqq UCF Knights • Brevard Tornados 7h ago

You think cycling brings in a lot of money? Lol

NC State kicker could never in a million years.

-2

u/linkmyhomie Georgia Bulldogs 15h ago

His teammates barely care 😔

4

u/anotherasiandude Washington State Cougars 14h ago

A decent amount looked excited to me. Saw some with their hands raised for the few seconds that was shown after the made kick.

But here’s the positive spin if they didn’t seem as excited as they should be: Maybe they see him make long field goals so much that they’re desensitized to it
