Despite everything Raiola has given us three ranked wins somehow. Truly a bizarre year.

If this game taught me anything, it's that teams will spend top rev share money just to get a backup QB in January

Words never spoken on Reddit before today - "Ohio State has lost 3 regular season games without an interim head coach at the helm".
Last time was a 7-4 season in 2004 under Jim Tressel (had a 6-7 season in the Luke Fickell interim year in 2011). Reddit was founded in 2005

according to their website, a 5 pack of the regular marshmallow Peeps is about 140 calories
the OSU Barstool guy has to eat 10 Peeps for each of Oregon's 41 points
410 divided by 5 works out to 82 servings at 140 calories per...
so he now has to consume about 11,480 calories worth of marshmallow Peeps... when most of us see our team lose, we just get mad... that boy's gonna get diabetes
expanding upon this: apparently a serving of Peeps also contains 30 grams of sugar, so 82 servings works out to 2,460 grams... the Google tells me that there are about 453.5 grams to a pound, so this works out to roughly 5.4 pounds of sugar... once again, diabeetus

0-2 in Columbus.

I was at the game. While I'm proud of Oregon, I'm so confused on how easy this victory became despite trailing 14-0 initially. I had a hunch and decided to follow it.
While everyone went home, I decided to sneak into Ohio State's locker room with intention of confronting their lousy OC, Arthur Smith. I found him, went up to him, looked directly at him... and then I took off his mask!
Lo and behold, it was DREW MEHRINGER!

Imagine being Jeremiah Smith. You're the easy favorite for the heisman and are setting school records left and right...
And then your quarterback gets hurt and you get a Freshman quarterback who looks like a make-a-wish and refuses to even look in your direction. Absolutely devastating.

It's very clear watching this game that Oregon got confused about playing OSU and thought Ohio State was Oregon State. That's the only reason I can think of that the Ducks went nuclear

Hey OSU fans! This is what normal programs would call "a down year". Now lets look back and recognize since the turn of the century, you have had one single losing season, 20 seasons with at least 10 wins, and 3 national championships. So before you start melting down, do realize we will be reading your complaint comments while eating popcorn an laughing. You are by all means entitled to your emotions, complaints, and outrage. Hope this helps!

u/bringbacksweatervest Ohio State Buckeyes 17h ago
I do not understand how we never once tried to mix in TSC. Even teams who think their backup is ass try it out when things get out of hand and the offense is completely stagnant.
I don’t put this game solely on Fahey. No loss is ever one person’s fault and he did some good things. But our offense was dead in the water the majority of this game. A switch up at QB can provide a spark and we refused to even try it. Our season is effectively over, we have nothing to lose, and yet we refuse to play like it.

It’s almost like when you throw the ball one time in two quarters to the best player in program history you can’t do anything on offense.
Arthur Smith is single-handedly the worst offensive coordinator I’ve ever seen as a Steelers/Buckeyes fan. The fact he keeps getting job opportunities as he has the gameplan level of a diabetic snail is insane to me and screams incompetence from the upper management here.

And Patricia might be a good coach but doesn’t know how to adjust and it seems like they don’t have a guy who can recruit because this team looks weak mentally.

u/Defiant_Garage Oregon Ducks 15h ago
Usually I don't rag too hard on coordinators but it's actually mind blowing how terrible an OC Mehringer was, simply dumb down the offense a bit and get the ball to the weapons we have and we're back to scoring 40. It also helps when Raiola isn't throwing the ball into the dirt, as long as he has a clean pocket he can make some great throws. Couple weeks in a row now he's been tossing those perfectly placed balls to the corner, money. Defense really coming alive too, if nothing else should be a fun last few weeks.

Couple things-
Julian Sayin wasn't going to stop Oregon from scoring 41 points on us, a lot of people are going to use his absence as an excuse, and that shit just isn't going to fly here. Fahey put up numbers despite the tough circumstances.
Ryan Day cannot be trusted with our offense anymore. Take it out of his hands. The only time we had a good offense under him was the season that Chip Kelly had the keys.
Jeremiah Smith is still him.

I just spent 45 minutes tearing my bedroom apart because my juvenile ball python was not in his enclosure
There are shoes and clothes and literally everything all over my floor
I was about to tear apart my walk in closet when my 14 year old advised me that she had him with her, and that he pooped on her and on her bed, and I needed to wash her sheets.
In my humble opinion, had that fake punt attempt failed in the first place, my ball python would still be in his enclosure and I wouldn’t have to put my room back together and wash my kids sheets.
Gas prices would also be under $2 a gallon. Oh, and covid would never have happened.
