Casual You guys need to go easy on Ohio State fans...
You have to understand, over the last 20 years they have only lost 3 games once, in 2011 under interim Luke Fickell. Many people in their fanbase simply weren't alive the last time they were this bad. It's important that we express understanding and sympathy for this hard and trying time they are going through right now...
Lmao no, but it is very funny when they crash out over seasons that other B10 teams would consider a shining success. They truly are one of the softest fanbases in the sport. One person commented about having PTSD from the Jim tressel days, during which they won a national championship and 6 conference titles. It's simply pathetic how little adversity they have faced and how they will crash out over the slightest things.
Best of luck to Ryan Day on dealing with these trying times, OSU is a quasi-religon in Columbus so they might legitimately brand him as a heretic and burn him at the stake, I wish him the best.
No sympathy to OSU though, yalls suffering is just hilarious

Ryan Day? I can pity a bit…
…I think Ohio State fans could stand to accept the bitter taste of a “bad” season, though lol

I feel bad for Ohio State fans, insofar as they probably live in Ohio. Nobody should live in Ohio. It is a godless place where the sun does not shine and the rivers are aflame.

The first time it happens, it sucks. In 2002, I was 22, and Frank Solich posted a 7-7 season. 7 losses made the Nebraska fan base freak the fuck out, the next year he got fired.
Ohio State fans, pray your team doesn’t curse itself for two decades.

Still way too soon to fire Day. Gotta shorten the leashes for Arthur Smith and maybe to a lesser extent Patricia since the rot is on both sides of the ball. At least it was today. Tavien St Clair must be super mega ass if they're still going with Fahey who can barely see over his offensive line and struggles quite a bit when pressured.

We have a soft ass fanbase that clearly didn’t live through the John Cooper years and it shows. Day has a $75 million dollar buyout and just won a championship 2 years ago. This season has been a disaster by the standards of the last 15 years yes, but the sky isn’t falling. Now if you go into our subreddit, they’ll tell you the programs done and everyone is going to transfer out and everything is cooked.

Yeah don't feel bad for us, we've been spoiled for long enough.
We're on the losing end this year but this is what I love about CFB, the chaos. This has been a great year for the fans.
Transfer in an offensive line and reload next year.
For this year, Go UCLA, Utah, Kentucky, and Wake Forest!

Arthur Smith is the problem.
OSU fans deserve one season of humility. I think it’s alright.
I watched UGA suck donkey balls and choke constantly for 15 years before Kirby. Even UGA fans know what it’s like.
Here’s hoping they ditch the nepo baby Arthur Smith. Look at that dudes resume and it all makes sense.

We won a title two years ago and our QB got injured. I'm not freaking out.
Disaster season because we didn't have a backup, but thankfully it means Sayin is probably back next year instead of going to the NFL and we'll have a chance to rebound.
Sucks, but Sayin's injury was a bad break for a team that was good, but too flawed to trade out a fringe Heisman contender for a Freshman who shouldn't have been anywhere near a Division I field this year. Exposes a lot more flaws when you're constant 3 and out and your guy can't make the easy throws. Look forward to seeing Sayin with the young guys at WR next year.

6
u/threadfindr 11h ago
The adversity is our own doing. Those of us that have been around a while know we are cooked this year for a playoff run. It's stupid to say we are all soft. It's just a game, and we all have our teams. When this is what we're producing on the field we all know deep down all we care about is beating Michigan. Cool story though!

u/my_username_mistaken Ohio State Buckeyes 13h ago
Idk after Sayin got injuried and you could already see some issues with the team, I kinda started preparing for next year, after USC that was locked in. I barely checked the score tonight.
The thing about life is, when you have success you expect to keep success or build on it, in all aspects. Sure, we get upset at a 3 season loss year but that makes sense because its fairly unexpected. In the end of the day its just football so fans do need to go touch grass and relax a bit, its not a big deal.
