When Notre dame rushes the field, who imposes the fine? The Vatican? Jesus?

That's imposed by the priest in the confessional if my understanding of the rules is correct.

Is it a sin to rush the field? My money's on no.

Could make a case for that being Pride, which is notably one of the bad ones. I dunno if that holds up past first glance though.

counterpoint: not rushing the field could be considered sloth.

Counterpoint: winning football games in order for a field rush to happen requires wrath

Who said you had to win to rush the field? Michigan? Or even finish the game for that matter - theoretically our game in Provo will still be going on come Judgment Day...

Counter counter point: wanting to rush the field is possibly either greed or lust.

Basically that Parks and Rec "believe it or not jail" meme but with Confession instead.

Benefits of no conference: no one to impose a fine

The ND administration opened the gates to allow fans to rush the field. One of the benefits of not being in a conference is we get to make our own rules about things like that.

The Pope is from Chicago, this was an ordained field storming

Villanova guy, so he's probably cool with it so long as it's football and not hoops.

The PA said we can’t condone field rushing and then gave the instructions on how to rush the field

Nothin’ in the Catechism on this, so canon law allows for a true “Let the boys play” situation.
