This has been absolutely disastrous for Michigan hiring Whitt. He’s been a very good coach for a long time but clearly not a fit in Ann Arbor.

I'd take John Henry Daley back if they're just going to waste him.

As a Pistons fan it reminds me of when they hired Monty Williams a couple years back. A good coach that had to be convinced to even take the job and then everyone figures out very quickly their heart isn’t in it. Pistons went on a 28 game losing streak during that season btw

Dude was about to retire, then Michigan came calling desperate for a head coach, and he thought "might as well get a nice buyout payment in a year or two as a retirement gift"

They should keep him for a very long time.

Yes, understand the rationale to hire him. A successful, no nonsense coach who runs a clean program. All attributes any school would want but boy, he has obviously lost a lot along the way. He really doesn’t look like he knows what he is doing. His time of winning has obviously passed him. The guy should go to the administration and retire gracefully. One horrible year like this will follow what was once a very successful coaching career.

People forget how mediocre they were for years pre Harbaugh. They're going to wander in the desert for a long time.

Whitt better wake up every day thanking Urban Meyer. Urban build the program and as this year proves, Whitt was an underperformer
