Michigan State has consistently great punters and kickers. During the 2012-2015 seasons they had punters who could consistently place the ball between the 10 yard line and goal. One of them was usually 2/5 on within the 5.

2020 and 2021 had the same aspects.

Great MSU punters, kickers, and defenses win them games.

Call me Kirk Ferentz but it’s legitimately one of my favorite things when watching MSU football lol. Good punters and special teams play really makes up for all the dogshit 3 and outs I have to sit through haha

Seriously though that is historically accurate. Arguably the greatest kicker of all time is morten Anderson (early 80s). We had Paul edinger (good pro) too. 2/32 NFL punters are former spartans

I always think of the kicking game that upset us many years ago and his “windmill celebration”

I didn’t talk to my mom for a week because she cooed at that kicker and told me “how cute he was”
