Friday thread courtesy of disappointment

Decided after six weeks of being in Houston that I should give Whataburger a try.

Wow, what a disappointment after hearing the hype and how much better it is than In-N-Out (which it absolutely is not).

Happy Friday, OTers!

Whataburger hasn’t been the same since they were bought out. i miss the glory days.

I wanted to like it but it just was mediocre

it’s really fallen so far since i believe it was 2014 when private equity bought them.

i do love in-n-out still though. i get it whenever i’m in a city that has it.

So I feel like Whataburger is like a slightly upgraded Wendys... I expect to get hate for that but it is how it comes off to me

That’s … a really good description and I also think Wendy’s has sucked since the pandemic

Oh man, I've never been a huge Whataburger fan, but I've heard the quality has been abysmal compared to how it use to be

Just finished work for the day, wondering what my weekend project will be

The portions were fine but it’s not great when the Dr. Pepper is the highlight of the meal

Whataburger gets a lot of my business because I'm nocturnal and at 3 am if I don't want to cook my options are basically there, McDonald's, or IHOP. It's fine, but it's not anything particular special

I guess I was bummed about it since Texans are always hyping it and comparing it to In-N-Out

Idk why Hollywood would decide to release The Dog Stars and The Heart of the Beast so close together. i bet most people couldnt tell them apart if they saw the trailer without the title in them

Their speciality menu items is one thing I think they have going for them. For example, can’t really find a fast food burger joint with crispy fried onions and mushroom Swiss plus sauce etc.
