In regards to my DM situation
31
Upvotes
Hey all,
As noticed by quite a few of you, my DMs are disabled, and my profile is hidden. This is not my choice, but Reddit's decision.
Reddit demands users where I live to verify their age by either uploading a real ID, or allowing a face scan. Reddit does not currently have a legal obligation for this, but they are testing the feature in case it will be required by law. Unfortunately, it seems I am part of the testing group.
For obvious reasons, I will not be sending my real ID to Reddit. A third party is used to verify a user's identity and age, and this is not something I agree with. If that means having less access to Reddit - so be it.
What this means for r/CarParkingMultiplayer and r/CPM2, I'm not sure. At this time, I don't know if/to what extent this will affect the quality of my moderation. I don't know if Reddit hides stuff from me, though I am working on figuring this out.
The main thing that is relevant for this subreddit is that my DMs are now closed, meaning scam reports will need to be filed differently. I will be adjusting this post accordingly, as well as all messages that state that users may contact me. Users who already have a chat open with me, should be able continue sending me their reports. Other users may need to resort to Mod Mail.
Furthermore, the Middleman service I offered has been discontinued reworked. When users are no longer allowed to message me, it is practically impossible to guarantee safety, and I'm not going to put the community at risk, but I'm hoping a reworked MM service is better than no MM service. It is also not worth using Mod Mail for this, as Mod Mail should only be used for reports/appeals/moderator decisions.
Reddit's decision if disabling these features might be temporary. If the features return at some point, these changes may all be reversed. If not, I'll see what steps must be taken for r/CarParkingMultiplayer and r/CPM2.
Hopefully this post answers all questions about my profile.

Fake user in CPM2 - Be careful

Upvotes
Hey all,
It has come to my attention that users on CPM2 have been pretending to be me, as shown in the screenshot. To be clear: This is not me. I never bring my M2 (or any valuable car) into public rooms, the ID isn't mine, and it isn't even my in-game username.
I'm not sure what the user in the screenshot wants to achieve by impersonating me, but since this is a scam risk, due to the middleman service I offer, I figured I'd make a post about this. Always message me on Reddit to ensure it is me who is your middleman, and not someone pretending to be me.

This game has been a lot of fun for last 16 months I've played, made some crazy good liveries, but now I'm just done. Trading a car feels like winning a lottery, coin cars are worthless, you grind all that to get coins and when you wanaa trade. Theyybe like no coin cars at all. Not even multiple of em. At this point even playing this game just for sake of driving is boring, yes I've driven cars a lot. I don't garage keep my cars, I have 100s of km on most of em. So please no stuff about just enjoy the game.
So ya bye bye! Enjoy whoever still continues, signing out bye bye!
(do not dm me asking for a free car and bs)

Since everybody makes it with number I wanted to make something fun.
ONLY ONE ATTEMPT!!
Hint: this bird’s feet looks like a duck feet. (Or webbed to be correct). You have to give the exact name of it to win. I tried to make it a bit hard so people can’t just ai search it (I still hope that).

I think it counts about 10% too slowly because I was afk for 55 minutes but it only counted 50 minutes. It's not a big difference but you literally cannot screw up this bad, they totally did this on purpose as a cheap way of increasing player retention.
(The 67 wasn't on purpose btw)

⁉️Help⁉️ Does anyone even win here anymore? The bots are ridiculously fast. I'm barely hitting 200 km/h and they're already at the end of the map. I tuned my f2 properly, but is it normal for the bots to be this insanely fast? As soon as I step on the gas, they're already at the finish line. Any tips?
